General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces: Resolution to Decisively Clear the Homeland of the Criminal Gangs
DAMASCUS – The General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces said that the terrorist explosion which targeted the National Security headquarters in Damascus on Wednesday morning while a meeting of a number of ministers and senior security officials was taking place is a new criminal escalation carried out by the hireling tools that are implementing foreign plots.
A statement by the General Command mentioned that Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense Gen. Dawood Abdullah Rajiha and Deputy Minister of Defense Gen. Asef Shawkat were martyred in the explosion and other attendees were injured.
While paying tribute to its heroic martyrs, the General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces stresses resolution to decisively eliminating the criminal and murder gangs and chasing them out of their rotten hideouts wherever they are until clearing the homeland of their evils,” the statement said.
It added that whoever thinks that by targeting some leaders they could twist Syria’s arms is “deluded”, affirming that “Syria, people, army and leadership, is today more determined to counter terrorism with all its forms and cutting off the hand of whoever thinks to harm Syria’s security.”
The General Command concluded its statement by saying that “this coward terrorist act will but increase the Armed Forces men’s determination to clear the homeland of the armed terrorist groups and preserve Syria’s dignity and the sovereignty of its independent national decision.”

Comando Generale dell’Esercito e delle Forze Armate: una risoluzione per cancellare decisamente dalla patria le bande criminali.
DAMASCO, (SANA) – Il Comando Generale dell’Esercito e delle Forze armate ha detto che l’esplosione terroristica che ha colpito il quartier generale per la Sicurezza Nazionale a Damasco, mercoledì mattina, mentre una riunione di un certo numero di ministri e alti funzionari della sicurezza era in corso, è una nuova escalation criminale svolta da strumenti mercenari che stanno implementando trame straniere.
Una dichiarazione del Comando Generale ha detto che il Vice Comandante in Capo dell’Esercito e delle Forze Armate, il ministro della Difesa Gen. Dawood Abdullah Rajiha e il Vice Ministro della Difesa Gen. Asef Shawkat, furono martirizzati a causa di un’esplosione, e altri partecipanti sono rimasti feriti.
Pur rendendo omaggio alla memoria dei martiri eroici, il Comando Generale dell’Esercito e delle Forze Armate sottolinea come una decisa risoluzione deve essere presa, per eliminare le bande di criminali, per inseguirli e tirarli fuori dai loro nascondigli ovunque si trovino, fino a cancellare la patria dei loro mali.
Nella dichiarazione si è aggiunto che, chi pensa che prendendo di mira alcuni dirigenti si possa piegare l’esercito siriano, è un “illuso”, affermando che “la Siria, le persone, l’esercito e la leadership, sono oggi più decise che mai per contrastare il terrorismo in tutte le sue forme ed a tagliare la mano di chi pensa di danneggiare la sicurezza della Siria”.
Il Comando Generale ha concluso la sua dichiarazione affermando che “questo atto codardo terroristico, non farà altro che aumentare la determinazione degli uomini delle Forze Armate per ripulire la patria dai gruppi armati terroristici, per preservare la dignità della Siria e la sovranità della sua decisionalità indipendente nazionale”.
