DAMASCUS, (SANA) – 19/11/2011 – Four army and security forces martyrs killed in the line of duty in Damascus countryside by armed terrorist groups were laid to rest on Saturday.

Solemn processions were held for the martyrs as they were carried on shoulders covered with the national flag while the military band played the “Martyr” and “Farewell” music.

The martyrs are:-Chief warrant officer Abdelkarim Mohammad Dawood, from Lattakia.-Chief warrant officer Mohammad Akram Kuraish, from Damascus Countryside.-Conscript Walid Ahmad al-Muhaimid, from Aleppo.-Policeman Mahmoud Bassam al-Abbas, from Homs.

The martyrs’ families voiced pride in their sons’ martyrdom and sacrifices for Syria’s sake, saying that the conspirators’ plot to weaken Syria will fail.

The relatives of martyr Dawood said that the armed terrorist groups may have killed their son, but they will never be able to kill his spirit which will live on in the memory of every free and honest patriot.
