Matuzov: Russia Won’t Give Up Support for Syria, U.S. and France Train and Finance Armed Groups

MOSCOW, (SANA) – The Russian political analyst Vyacheslav Matuzov on Monday stressed that Russia won’t give up its support for its stance towards the events in Syria, adding that the U.S.A. supports armament against the Syrian authorities.
Interviewed by Russia Today TV channel, Matuzov added that the U.S. and France are training armed groups on the Turkish territories and sending large amounts of money from Libya to provide financial support to these groups which is internationally unacceptable.
He said that Russia won’t buckle under the pressures exerted by the U.S., the NATO or other Arab countries but rather it calls upon all sides in Syria to engage in dialogue.
Matuzov considered the Arab League’ s recent decision against Syria as lacking political solution, indicating to the media war launched against Syria.
He added that the western statements violate the international law and the UN charter which prevent a country from interfering in the affairs of other countries, stressing Russia’s commitment and respect of international law.
