President al-Assad Issues Law on Hard Labor Penalty for Weapon Smugglers

DAMASCUS, (SANA)- Dec 20, 2011 – President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday issued the law No. 26 for 2011 stipulating for a 15-year hard labor penalty for those who have smuggled weapons, and a life sentence of hard labor for those who have smuggled weapons with the aim of trafficking in them or committing terrorist acts.

 The law also provides for death sentence for whoever distributed amounts of weapons or contributed to distributing them with the aim of committing terrorist acts. The partner and whoever involved in this will be also punished with the same penalty.

Il Presidente Bashar al-Assad promulga una nuova legge punitiva, lavori forzati e pena di morte, per chi contrabbanda armi

DAMASCUS, (SANA)- Dec 20, 2011 – Il presidente Bashar al-Assad il Martedì ha promulgato una la legge, la n. 26 del 2011, che stabilisce 15 anni di pena di lavori forzati per chi ha contrabbandato armi, e una condanna a vita di duro lavoro per chi ha contrabbandato armi, con l’obiettivo di commettere atti terroristici.

  La legge prevede anche la pena di morte per chiunque distribuisca quantità di armi o contribuisca a distribuirle con il fine di commettere atti terroristici.

Chiunque sia coinvolto come complice o aiuti tale crimine sarà punito anche con la stessa pena.
