Joint Algerian-French security investigations have disclosed that 21 Algerians and 5 French citizens of Moroccan descent are fighting in the ranks of Al-Qaeda Organization in Syria, after infiltrating into Syria among Libyan volunteers.

The results of the investigations revealed that Al-Qaeda Organization in Libya has set up 2 camps to train volunteers of Arab descent from the Maghreb countries, Egypt and Europe. One of the camps is located in the desert area near Hon town in the central part of Libya and the second one is site believed to be near Sahl I’jlah, south of the Green Mountain east of Libya. The investigations mentioned a person nicknamed Abu Al-Qassem Al-Muhajer, a French nationalist of Algerian origin as having joined one of the camps. They also disclosed that a number of Moroccans and Algerians infiltrated across Tunisia into Libya to receive training after they had been recruited through Jihadist websites. and hundreds of them are currently in Syria fighting under the banner of Jihadist battalions recently set up in Syria.

Moreover, Lebanese security sources said that 4 armed men coming from Qatar through Beirut’s  International Airport were detained at the borders with Syria. The authorities added that they found in their possessions developed cellular phones with chips containing details on how to make explosive charges as well as maps of Syrian military sites

Forze di Sicurezza congiunte di investigatori algerino-francese hanno scoperto che 21 algerini e 5 cittadini francesi di origine marocchina stanno combattendo nelle file di Al-Qaeda in Siria, dopo essersi infiltrati in Siria tra i volontari libici (NTC-NATO-rats).

I risultati delle indagini hanno rivelato che Al-Qaeda ha istituito in Libia 2 campi militari per formare volontari di origine araba dei paesi del Maghreb, Egitto ed Europa.

Uno dei campi si trova nella zona desertica vicino alla città Hon nella parte centrale della Libia ed il secondo è il sito ritenuto vicino a Sahl I’jlah, a sud delle Green Mountain, a est della Libia.

Le indagini hanno menzionato una persona soprannominata Abu Al-Qassem Al-Muhajer, un nazionalista francese di origine algerina che sarebbe coinvolto in uno dei campi.

Essi hanno inoltre rivelato che un certo numero di marocchini e algerini si sono infiltrati attraverso la Tunisia in Libia per ricevere una formazione militare dopo essere stati reclutati attraverso  siti web jihadisti.
