DAMASCUS, 10 May 2012 – Two terrorist explosions hit Damascus Thursday morning near al-Qazaz crowded intersection at the southern ring-road .The explosions took place at a densely populated area as they coincided with the employees and students going to their jobs and schools.The two terrorist explosions caused tens of martyrs and wounded civilians ; a big carter is seen in the place of the explosions and the chassis of burned cars and means of transport scatter over all the targeted area.Meanwhile, the UN observers team inspected the site of the two terrorist attacks.
Minister of Health Dr. Wael Al-Halaqi stated to Syrian TV , al-Ikhbariya Station that as a preliminary death toll there are more than 40 martyrs, 170 wounded and 8 sacks of torn-off limbs.
Gen. Mood: The explosions cause but the more of suffering to the Syrians
General Robert Mood, Head of the UN Observers Mission to Syria, offered his heartfelt condolences to the Syrian people and to the bereaved families of the victims.
Gen. Mood, in a press statement at the site of the two explosions, called on all those who stand behind these explosions, whether they are inside Syria or outside, to realize that such explosions cause but the more of suffering to the Syrians, and that they should stop these heinous acts and give a chance to the Syrians to go forward in a peaceful direction without having the innocents being killed.

Due esplosioni terroristiche hanno colpito Damasco oggi, giovedi mattina, nei pressi di al-Qazaz, all’incrocio affollato sulla tangenziale sud.
Le esplosioni hanno avuto luogo in un’area densamente popolata nel momento in cui lavoratori e studenti si recavano ai loro posti di lavoro e alle rispettive scuole.
Le due esplosioni terroristiche hanno provocato decine di civili martiri e moltissimi feriti. Un gran cratere sel luogo delle esplosioni testimonia la potenza devastante dell’attentato terrorista, e telai di auto bruciate e dei mezzi di trasporto sono dispersi su tutta l’area coinvolta.
Nel frattempo, il team di osservatori delle Nazioni Unite stanno ispezionando il luogo dei due attacchi terroristici.
Il Ministro della Sanità, Dr. Wael Al-Halaqi, ha dichiarato a Syrian TV che per ora il numero delle vittime accertate è di 40 martiri e di 170 feriti, e che sono già stati raccolti 8 sacchi pieni di arti amputati e smembrati dall’esplosione
Gen. Mood: Le esplosioni causano soprattutto la sofferenza dei siriani.
Il Generale Robert Mood, Capo della Missione degli Osservatori delle Nazioni Unite in Siria, ha offerto le sue condoglianze al popolo siriano ed alle famiglie delle vittime.
Il Gen. Mood, in un comunicato stampa diramato dal sito delle due esplosioni, ha invitato tutti coloro che stanno dietro queste esplosioni, siano essi dentro o fuori la Siria, di rendersi conto che tali esplosioni causano soprattutto sofferenza ai siriani, e che dovrebbero smettere di compiere questi atti odiosi e dare la possibilità ai siriani di andare avanti in una direzione tranquilla senza avere innocenti uccisi.
