Giovedi’, 26 luglio 2012, diverse unità delle Forze Armate Siriane hanno professionalmente effettuato coraggiose operazioni in al-Hajar al-Aswad e al-Yarmouk, quartieri alla periferia di Damasco, dove i terroristi erano arroccati all’interno di aree densamente popolate usando i civili come scudi umani.
Nel frattempo, le autorità hanno continuato a dare la caccia ai terroristi, neutralizzandoli, in altri quartieri popolari della città, uccidendo un gran numero di mercenari i quali avevano distrutto proprietà pubbliche e private, terrorizzato cittadini e danneggiato le strade.
