Cristiani di  Aleppo volontari nell’Esercito Nazionale Arabo Siriano per respingere i mercenari del FSA (Fake Strangers Army)

La comunità cristiana ha cercato di evitare di prendere posizione nella crisi siriana.

In Aleppo, gente del movimento Scout siriano, insieme ad alcuni gruppi armeni, si sono offerti volontari nell’esercito regolare siriano per proteggere le chiese e per respingere i terroristi dell’opposizione.

“Tutti combattono tutti”, ha detto George, un armeno cristiano dalla città.

“Gli armeni si battono perché credono che il FSA venga inviato dai loro oppressori turchi per attaccarli, ma i cristiani vogliono difendere i loro quartieri e l’Esercito Nazionale Arabo Siriano sta combattendo le milizie del FSA”.

Oltre 150 cristiani e armeni hanno combattuto per evitare che le milizie armate del FSA  entrassero in aree cristiane di Aleppo.

George ha continuato dicendo che “i ribelli minacciavano le chiese”.

“Cecchini del FSA erano sui tetti e attaccavano sia la Chiesa Maronita che armeni residenti nell’area”, ha detto un ex-pastore di nome Giovanni, il quale ha detto di aver assistito alla battaglia.

La battaglia per Aleppo è diventata molto amara, con gruppi di militanti jihadisti che giocano un ruolo importante, più che in qualsiasi altra città.

I residenti della città hanno detto al quotidiano ‘The Telegraph’ che le minoranze locali temevano di subire la stessa sorte dei cristiani in Iraq, i quali sono stati pesantemente colpiti dalla violenza settaria che è scoppiata dopo la guerra del 2003.

John ha detto che “il FSA è solo un gruppo di teppisti e ladri. Li ho visti rubare da una fabbrica tessile – hanno preso tutto, gas, materiali, anche le bordatrici “.

Up to 150 Christian and Armenians have been fighting to prevent Free Army armed rebels from entering Christian areas of Aleppo.

George said that “The rebels were threatening the churches.”

“Free Army snipers were on the rooftops and they were attacking the Maronite church and Armenian residents there,” said a former clergyman named John, who said he had witnessed the battle.

The battle for Aleppo has become bitter, with militant jihadist groups playing a more prominent role than in any other city.

Residents of the city told The Telegraph that the city’s minorities feared that they would suffer the same fate as Christians in Iraq, who were heavily targeted by the sectarian violence that erupted after the 2003 war.

John said that “the Free Army is all a bunch of thugs and thieves. I watched them steal from a textile factory – they took everything; gas, materials, even the beading machines.”

In Aleppo on Wednesday four Syrian Armenians were reported killed and 13 wounded in an ambush near the airport.
