Press TV’s correspondent in the occupied Golan Heights says he has been receiving death threats for doing his job.
Hamad Awidat said on Monday that he has been receiving phone calls, threatening him to death.

In one such threat, the voice on the phone said Awidat would be killed for working for an Iranian television and supporting the Syrian government, our correspondent said, adding that his car and office had also been vandalized.

On September 26, foreign-backed insurgents in Syria killed Press TV’s correspondent, Maya Naser, by sniper fire in the Syrian capital, Damascus.

The bureau chief of Press TV and Al-Alam television networks, Hosein Mortada, was also injured in the attack.

The two were covering twin blasts in Damascus and the ensuing fighting.

Naser and Mortada had received numerous death threats in the weeks leading up to the deadly attack.
