EU banning of Iranian TV stations, outrageous
The European Union has been accused of silencing alternative media after it ordered a ban on a number of Iranian satellites channels, including Press TV.
Press TV has contacted the French media authority, CSA, for comments regarding the ban. The CSA had said it would provide us with a response but has so far failed to do so.
Press TV has also launched a petition on Facebook to keep the news channel on air across Europe. Press TV’s viewers have slammed the move as illegal and hypocritical. In their comments posted on the news channel’s website, they’ve accused the European Union of double standards.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Roula Talj, a political analyst from Beirut, to further talk over the issue.
