New Gas Field in Tripoli Sea
A gas field was discovered in the sea near Tripoli and Akkar after the first was discovered a while ago near the south, Minister of Energy Gebran Bassil revealed in a statement to Al-Akhbar newspaper.
Bassil told the Lebanese daily that five geological spots rich in gas were discovered in Tripoli and Akkar’s offshore marine areas, clarifying that “Lebanon was preparing for the drilling and production processes through different procedures”. “We completed the first part of the marine survey”, he said.

Un giacimento di gas è stato scoperto in mare nei pressi di Tripoli e Akkar dopo che il primo era stato scoperto qualche tempo fa nei pressi dell’area a sud, ha rivelato in una dichiarazione al quotidiano Al-Akhbar il ministro dell’Energia Gebran Bassil.
Bassil ha detto al quotidiano libanese che cinque zone geologiche ricche di gas sono state scoperte a Tripoli e Akkar, in aree marine in mare aperto, chiarendo che “Il Libano si stava preparando per la perforazione ed i processi di produzione attraverso procedure diverse”. “Abbiamo completato la prima parte del sondaggio marino”, ha detto.
