Israeli war minister, Ehud Barak, admitted on Sunday that Israeli warplanes launched an attack on the scientific research center in Jamraya in Damascus Countryside.
Barak made reference to the strike Israel launched in Syria last week, telling reporters in Germany that the incident is proof that when “we say something, we mean it”.
“I keep telling frankly that we said … and that’s proof when we said something we mean it…we say that we don’t think it should be allowed to bring advanced weapons systems into Lebanon,” Barak was quoted as saying by the AP.
The statement is an overt hint that the aggression came in implementation of the Israeli threats uttered lately under the pretext of targeting “a weapons shipment”.
A paradox to be noted is that the Israeli confession of the aggression came during Munich Security Conference without making any echo to the Western ‘advocates of stability and security’ who did not even condemn the aggression, in spite of its being a direct blatant aggressive act that threatens security and stability in the region and constitutes a gross violation of the UN Charter and the international law.
