Apr 22, 2013 – DAMASCUS – A suicide bomber on Monday detonated a car bomb in al-Mleiha town in Damascus Countryside, causing injuries to several citizens.
An official source told SANA reporter that the terrorist bombing took place at a time when students were heading to schools and universities, adding that many people were injured, some of whom are in a critical condition, and that material damage was caused in the site of the bombing.
IED Planted by Terrorists in Private Car Explodes in al-Shaghour Neighborhood
An improvised explosive device planted by terrorist in a private car in al-Shaghour neighborhood in Damascus exploded, injuring the driver and causing material damage.
A source at the Police Command told SANA’s correspondent that the terrorists planted the IED under the driver seat of the car, a Daewoo, near al-Mustafa Mosque in al-Shaghour, and that the driver sustained medium injuries in the blast and was rushed to a hospital.
The source said the explosion burned the car and damaged two other nearby cars.
Mortar Shells Fired on Residential Neighborhoods, Two Martyred, Several Injured
Five citizens were injured by mortar shells fired by terrorists on Monday on the vicinity of the Islamic Sharia school in al-Assad suburb in Harasta, Damascus Countryside.
An official source told SANA reporter that two mortar shells fell in the vicinity of the Islamic Sharia school in al-Assad suburb, injuring five citizens, two seriously, and causing material damage .
Terrorists also fired two mortar shells on Ish al-Warwar neighborhood in Barzeh, Damascus, causing material damage in the residential buildings.
A source at the Police Command said that one of the shells fell in a house in the vicinity of the bakery square while the other fell in Deir Mama square and caused material damage.
A third mortar shell was fired at Barzeh, falling near a school which resulted in the martyrdom of two 16 year-old girls and the injury of eight citizens, among them five children ages 4 to 10.
