Copenhagen, (SANA-M. Ismael) – The Syrian national scientific team reaped a bronze medal in the International Physics Olympiad which wrapped up competitions in Denmark on Sunday.
The Syrian Osama Yaghi deserved the medal as his compatriot Ghadeer Shaaban gained a Certificate of Appreciation.
Chairman of the National Commission of the Syrian Science Olympiad, Imad Mwafaq al-Azab said that this achievement is an indication of the developing strategy of the Syrian Olympiad, adding that it came to crown calculated and non-stop mutual efforts by the National Commission and the Central Scientific Committee.
The crowning was the result of cumulative labor-intensive and ongoing work that reflects the evolution of the cognitive level of the Syrian Science Olympiad, al-Azab pointed out.
He added that the achievement will be “an incentive for continuing work with boundless aspiration and great responsibility for more scientific brilliance,” hoping that the Syrian national teams would fare well in other international scientific Olympiads scheduled for this month.
