Egypt’s Foreign Minister: Political solution is the only one to preserve Syria’s sovereignty

Foreign Minister of the new Egyptian cabinet said there will be an evaluation of the relations with Syria after the ousted president Mohammad Morsi, stressing that the political solution is the only solution that preserves Syria’s sovereignty and the Syrian state.

During a press conference in Sharm el-Sheikh on Saturday, Fehmi announced that “a positive return of Egypt into its natural Arab frame will be among the priorities of the current transitional government.”

He added that the current government will work to lay down “the right and comprehensive foundation” of the Egyptian foreign policy in the future.

In this context, Fehmi stressed that everything regarding Egypt’s relations with Syria will be evaluated, after the cutoff that occurred under Morsi, pointing out that the consulates between Syria and Egypt are still open and providing services.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister stressed Egypt’s support for “the Syrian people’s aspirations for a life of democracy and freedom without discrimination between classes, sects or political or religious affiliations.”

“We consider that the political solution is the best, but the only solution that preserves the Syrian sovereignty and state,” said Fehmi, voicing hope that a move in this direction will be witnessed in the coming weeks.

He affirmed that there is “no intention for Jihad in Syria”, in response to the calls previously made by Morsi for Egyptians to go and fight in Syria.

Alcune recenti dichiarazioni egiziane farebbero ben sperare…ma per poter valutare più positivamente la nuova leadership egiziana (che ricordiamo non è stata ancora confermata da regolari elezioni popolari) ci vorrà ancora del tempo.

Poche parole dette, benchè in una direzione positiva, necessitano di azioni concrete, sia nei confronti delle nazioni arabe resistenti, come pure nei confronti dei rapporti con l’entità sionista, per poter essere considerate con maggior serietà e credibilità.

Se son rose…esse fioriranno…

…al momento, dopo tante “primavere” e “inverni” arabo-yankee, la prudenza e l’attesa sono d’obbligo, specie quando si è a conoscenza dei grandi interessi e strategie geopolitiche che si agitano dietro i turbolenti e cangianti scenari mediorientali, dove il cambio di strategia anche di un solo grosso attore condiziona stravolgimenti radicali, compiuti però, attenzione, non in onore di giuste cause (come vorrebbero farci credere i loro media servi), ma di differnti metodi per raggiungere gli stessi obiettivi, a cui alcune lobby dalle “dure cervici” non rinunceranno mai…

MINISTRO DEGLI ESTERI EGIZIANO: UNA SOLUZIONE POLITICA È L’UNICO MODO PER LA SIRIA DI MANTENERE LA PROPRIA SOVRANITÀ.

Il ministro degli Esteri del nuovo governo egiziano pro-tempore ha detto che ci sarà una rivalutazione delle relazioni da mantenere con la Siria dopo la deposizione dell’ex-presidente Mohammad Morsi, sottolineando che la soluzione politica è l’unica soluzione che preservi la sovranità della Siria e dello stato arabo siriano.

Nel corso di una conferenza stampa a Sharm el-Sheikh di sabato, Fehmi ha annunciato che “un ritorno positivo dell’Egitto nella sua cornice naturale araba sarà tra le priorità dell’attuale governo di transizione”.

Ha aggiunto che l’attuale governo lavorerà per definire “le giuste basi” della politica estera egiziana per il futuro.

In questo contesto, Fehmi sottolineato che tutto ciò che riguarda le relazioni dell’Egitto con la Siria sarà valutato, dopo il taglio che si è verificato sotto Morsi, sottolineando che i consolati tra la Siria e l’Egitto sono ancora aperti e stanno continuando a fornire i servizi.

Il ministro degli Esteri egiziano ha sottolineato il sostegno dell’Egitto per “le aspirazioni del popolo siriano per la vita nella democrazia e libertà, senza discriminazione tra le classi, sette o affiliazioni politiche o religiose”.

“Riteniamo che la soluzione politica sia la migliore, l’unica soluzione che preservi la sovranità dello stato siriano”, ha detto Fehmi, esprimendo la speranza che un passo in questa direzione sia fatto nelle prossime settimane.

Egli ha affermato che non vi è “alcuna intenzione da parte egiziana per voler favorire la Jihad in Siria”, in contro-risposta alle chiamate invece effettuate in precedenza da Morsi e rivolte agli egiziani per andare a combattere in Siria.
