Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi: “Political solution goes along with the army’s duties”

Damascus – (H. Said-SANA) – Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi stressed that Syria believes that the political solution is the only way to bring the crisis to an end, and that this does not contradict with the Syrian Arab army’s duties in protecting the homeland and citizens.

Al-Halqi said in excerpts from an interview he gave to the Syrian al-Watan newspaper to be published Thursday that the so-called “Free Army” is “a mere lie to cover the acts of the terrorist groups,” adding that most of the Free Army members have joined al-Nusra Front and al-Qaeda.

The Premier put the number of makeshift residential centers hosting displaced families across the country at 830 centers, noting that a first batch of displaced Syrians in Lebanon and a another batch of those staying at al-Zaatari camp in Jordan have been admitted to the makeshift centers.

Al-Halqi pointed out that the government is making great and strenuous efforts “to limit the decline in economic performance” and positively affect the citizens’ livelihood.

He disclosed that there will be “a restructuring of the economic team that might demand a cabinet change” in a way that enhances the expansion of political participation.

He noted that the government has kept Aleppo “in its heart and mind” and is closely following up on its residents’ conditions.

Premier al-Halqi considered that the Syrian-Iranian cooperation relations under the leadership of Iranian President Hassan Rohani will continue to increase.

Damas – L.W./ L.A. (SANA) – Le président du Conseil des ministres, Dr Waël al-Halaqi, a affirmé que pour la Syrie, la solution politique est le seul moyen de mettre fin à la crise, ajoutant que “ceci n’annule pas les missions de l’armée arabe syrienne dans la protection de la patrie et du Citoyen”.

Dans un entretien accordé au quotidien syrien “al-Watan” (la patrie), dont des parties ont été publiées aujourd’hui, Dr al-Halaqi a fait noter que “l’armée libre”, dont la majorité de ses éléments est actuellement dans la rang du “Front Nosra” et “d’al-Qaïda”, n’est qu’un mensonge créé pour couvrir les actes des groupes terroristes.

Il a souligné que le gouvernement a accueilli la 1ère partie des déplacés Syriens qui étaient au Liban et au camp al-Zaatari en Jordanie après leur retour à la patrie, faisant état de la présence de 830 centres d’accueil provisoires le long du pays.

Le président du conseil des ministres a assuré que le gouvernement déploie d’énormes efforts pour freiner le recul dans la prestation économique et influencer positivement les conditions de vie des citoyens.

Il a révélé qu’une restructuration du personnel économique est prévue mais qu’elle exige un remaniement ministériel pour renforcer la participativité politique.

Passant à la situation dans la ville d’Alep, Dr al-Halaqi a affirmé que le gouvernement accorde un grand intérêt à cette ville et à ses habitants et poursuit leur situation heure par heure.

Il a estimé que les relations syro-iraniennes à l’ombre de la direction du président Hassan Rohani se développeront continuellement.
