Army units kill terrorists in several cities, among them non-Syrians
August 10, 2013 – Provinces, (SANA) – Numbers of terrorists were killed and others were injured Saturday in a series of operations carried out in different areas in Aleppo and its countryside.
SANA reporter quoted an official source as saying that army units destroyed several gatherings for terrorists in Kweiris village and Rasm al-Abboud in the southeastern countryside of Aleppo.
Large numbers of terrorists were killed in Mayer village in the northwestern countryside, according to the source.
It added that other army units targeted cars loaded with weapons and ammunition in the villages of al-Daneh, al-Kamari and Atareb in the southwestern countryside. The terrorists’ weapons and ammunition were destroyed.
An army unit, the source also mentioned, killed and injured members of armed terrorist groups in Khan al-Assal area.
In the northwestern countryside, units of the armed forces eliminated a number of terrorists, most of them are non-Syrians, in the villages of Hreitan, Hayyan and Minnegh.
Meanwhile, army units repelled members of an armed terrorist group who tried to sneak into the garage of al-Kindi Hospital, killing and injuring a number of them in addition to many others in the same area.
The source told SANA that a den for terrorists was destroyed in al-Mansoura village along with the weapons and equipment inside.
An army unit, the source added, confronted and killed all members of a terrorist group as they were trying to infiltrate from the Electricity Company towards al-Sheikh Saeed.
In the southeastern countryside, the guard members of the thermal station in the area repelled an armed terrorist group that tried to attack the station, killing all of them and destroying their weapons.
In Aleppo city, an army unit confronted terrorists who attempted to sneak into Bustan al-Zahra neighborhood, killing most of the terrorists and destroying their weapons and ammo in the clash which took place near Huzaifa Bin al-Yaman Mosque.
Terrorists targeted in Damascus and its countryside
The army units carried out a chain of operations in Damascus and its countryside in which they targeted terrorists’ gatherings and killed many of them.
SANA reporter quoted an official source as saying that units of the armed forces killed and wounded members of terrorist groups in the neighborhoods of Barzeh and al-Qaboun in Damascus and destroyed their weapons and equipment. Terrorist Mahmoud al-Sarmadani was identified among the dead.
An army unit, the source said, clashed with an armed terrorist group near the Transportations Department in Joubar neighborhood in Damascus Countryside, killing most of its members, including Abdullah Dawareh.
Army units eliminated a number of terrorists who had been stationed in the warehouses of the Housing Establishment and the Gas Filling Unit in Adra area.
Mohammad al-Sba’, leader of an armed terrorist group, was identified among the killed terrorists.
Terrorists’ gatherings were destroyed in Douma farms and in Harasta. Among those were Omar Dashdash and Kamal Mehi-Eddin.
In the meantime, an army unit carried out a special operation against a den for an armed terrorist group in Deir Salman in the Eastern Ghouta, leaving all of its members dead and injured.
Another army unit destroyed terrorists’ dens with the weapons inside in Hijjeira town, killing many of the terrorists including Jamal al-Issa. The weapons included machine guns and automatic rifles.
Units of the armed forces pursued terrorist groups affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra in Rima farms, the neighborhoods of al-Salhiyeh and al-Qa’eh and Ras al-Ein town in Yabroud area, killing many of their members.
Clashes with terrorists tryign to attack military checkpoints in Hama
An army unit clashed with a group of terrorists who tried to attack military checkpoints in the villages of al-Rasif, al-Aziziyeh and al-Jeed in al-Ghab area. Many of the terrorists were killed in the clashes.
An official source said the clashes also resulted in destroying a rocket launcher and a heavy machine gun.
Terrorists killed in clashed and operations in Deir Ezzor
In Deir Ezzor province, an army unit clashed with armed terrorist groups in the neighborhoods of al-Rushdiyeh and al-Hweiqa in the city, according to an official source.
The source stressed that large numbers of terrorists were killed during the clashes, including Munir al-Hajr, a Jabhat al-Nusra leader in the city.
The source added that army units carried out a number of special operations targeting terrorists’ dens and gatherings in the neighborhoods of al-Jbeileh, al-Arfi and al-Sina’a. Many terrorists were killed and their weapons were destroyed.
Terrorists attacking military posts in Idleb repelled
A unit of the Syrian armed forces confronted an armed terrorist group which attempted to attack military posts in Kfar Shlayia in Idleb, killing a number of terrorists and injuring many others, while the rest of terrorists escaped.
A military source told SANA that units of the army targeted the terrorists’ hideouts and gatherings in Bdama, Arnaba, Sarakeb, Taftanaz, Sheikh Yousef, Benish, Maraat al-Numan and Kfar Roma, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their weapons and criminal equipment.
Non-Syrian terrorists killed in Daraa
Meanwhile, the army killed terrorists in a number of Daraa and its countryside regions, destroying several hideouts including weapons and munitions and confiscating 30 anti-tank mines in al-Jbeila.
A military source told SANA that units of the army targeted the dens of terrorists in Daraa al-Balad, Tal Shihab, Niwa, Tseil, Saida al-Golan and Inkhil in Daraa countryside, killing several terrorists and destroying their criminal equipment.
The source added that among the killed terrorists were the Tunisians Naef al-Ashkan, Mohammad al-Ateiba and the Jordanains Mohammad Abdullah al-Zour, Hussein Khdre and the Sauids Mishaal Fahd al-Tarifa.

The army destroyed a warehouse of missiles and munitions in al-Saan area in Homs countryside, inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists.
An official source told SANA that during the army operations, the terrorists’ hideouts were eliminated in the neighborhoods of Jourat al-Shayah, al-Karabees, al-Warsha, Bab Houd and al-Hamadiya in Homs.
The source added that another army unit destroyed a warehouse which includes weapons and missiles for the terrorists in the farms of Karm Shamsi in al-Saan, while a third army unit eliminated gatherings of terrorists in al-Dar al-Kabera, al-Ghantou, Talneisa and al-Rastan in Homs countryside.
Army restores stability to al-Hara town in Daraa countryside
Daraa – Units of the armed forces restored stability and security to al-Hara town in Daraa countryside Friday after pursuing terrorist groups in it and inflicting heavy losses upon them.
The operation, which was carried out with the help of locals, resulted in the elimination of a number of terrorists including non-Syrians and the confiscation of their weapons and ammo, including armor-piercing rockets, RPG launchers, heavy machineguns and assault rifles, in addition to stolen medical supplies.
Six martyred in terrorist attacks in Aleppo and Hama, three injured by mortars in Damascus
Two citizens were martyred and a woman and a child were injured in a blast of an explosive device planted by terrorists in al-Sfeira area in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
Four citizens martyred in car bomb blast in Hama countryside
Meanwhile, a suicide bomber driving a car packed with explosives blew himself up on al-Naqour-al-Bahseh road in the countryside of Hama, killing four citizens and injuring others.
SANA reporter quoted an official source as saying that the car bomb exploded near al-Thawra farm on al-Naqour-al-Bahseh road, causing the martyrdom of four citizens and the injury of others, in addition to material damage in the site.
Three injured by terrorists’ mortars in Damascus
Three citizens were injured by a mortar shell fired by terrorists on Souq al-Hal in al-Zablatani area in Damascus, with a police source informing SANA that the three victims were rushed to the hospital, one of them sustaining serious wounds, and that the attack caused material damage to a shop in the Souq.
Terrorists also fired two mortar shells that fell behind al-Thaqafi Mosque in Bab Touma area, causing only material damage to the fence of a house and no injuries.
