A Child martyred, 11 persons injured in terrorist attack in Damascus
October 12, 2013 – DAMASCUS (SANA-H. Zain/ Mazen /F.Allafi) – An 8-year girl was martyred while 11 other civilians were injured, among them women in a mortar shell fired by terrorists on Saturday near Dar al-Salam School in Damascus.
A source at Damascus Police Command said that the shell caused material damage to the supermarkets and a number of cars in the site.
The source added that another mortar shell fired by terrorists landed over a building in al-Najmeh Square in Damascus, causing material damage.
Health Minister, Saad al-Nayef, visited the injured citizens and stressed that the terrorists have targeted secure areas boiling with people near Dar al-Salam, the Latin Church, al-Isaaf Mosque and the health Ministry.
He pointed out that the injured citizens received medical treatment, stressing that there is a strategic reserve of medicines and medical requirements and blood to deal with all emergency cases.
