Patriarch Gregory III Laham calls on foreign forces to stop arming and supporting extremists in Syria
Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, Gregory III Lahham, called on foreign forces to stop arming and supporting extremist groups in Syria if these forces actually want the talks in Geneva 2 to produce positive results.
In a statement to the Vatican’s Fides News Agency, Patriarch Laham commented on the announcement made last week by extremist armed groups in Syria that they will merge under the name of “Islamic front” by asserting that extremist groups certainly don’t fight for democracy or for freedom.
