Syrian Arab Army General Command: Armed forces vanquished terrorist groups that sneaked to Deir Attieh

The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces said that army units have managed Thursday to vanquish terrorist groups that sneaked to Deir Attieh city and stationed in a number of building blocks and state institutions.

In a statement released on Thursday, the General Command said that the operation has left big numbers of terrorists of several nationalities killed.

”Our forces’ operations are rolling on successfully, pursuing the residual terrorist groups in the adjacent areas in order to fully ensure the safety of the international road,” the statement pointed out.

The General Command reaffirmed faith in victory and pledged full preparedness to carry out its constitutional duties. ”The criminal acts and terrorism practiced by bearers of takfiri thoughts and their funders serve to sharpen our resolve to track down the terrorist gangs and eliminate them wherever they are across the Syrian Arab Republic,” the statement concluded.

Earlier, The army units restored security and stability to all neighborhoods of Deir Attieh city in Damascus Countryside.

SANA quoted a military source as saying that army units gained full control over Deir Attieh after “swift” and “accurate” operations, having destroyed the terrorists’ last gatherings in the city.

An official source told SANA that Abdul-Rahman al-Oteibi, Abdullah Sami al-Fantoukh and Adel al-Shummari from Saudi Arabia were indentified among the killed terrorists, in addition to the terrorist Yaser al-Mustafa, a Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group’s leader.

Terrorists’ boat destroyed, infiltration attempt from Jordan aborted by Syrian Army Forces

Army operations on Friday resulted in the demolishing of several terrorist groups’ dens and destroying large amounts of weapons, in addition to thwarting infiltration attempt from Jordan.

Army units kill non-Syrian terrorists in Deir Attieh farms, Damascus Countryside

A unit of the armed forces killed a number of terrorists in the eastern farms of Deir Attieh in Damascus Countryside.

A military source told SANA that among the dead terrorists were  Abu Obaida from Saudi Arabia, who was a leader of an armed terrorist group, Abu al-Braa al-Saudi and another terrorist from Yemen nicknamed “al-Jazrawi”. 

An official source said that the army units killed and injured scores of terrorists in the city of al-Nabek and Reema Farms, adding that terrorists Ahmad al-Hamami and Amjad Majzoub were identified among the dead.

The source added that the army targeted terrorists hideouts in the areas of Deir Salman in the eastern al-Ghouta and Douma city, killing a number of terrorists, among them were Jamal Haydar, a group’s leader and Mamdouh Kabkab.

The army units pursued and clashed with members of an armed terrorist group in the city of Harasta and the town of al-Abbada, killing many terrorists. Terrorists Muhannad Alaya and Khaled al-Qalla’ were identified among the dead.

The army units also targeted terrorists in the areas of al-Qaysa and al-Bahharyeh, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their weaponry and equipment. Terrorists Alaa Rashed and Ahmad al-Shayeb were identified among the dead.

Meanwhile, An army unit pursued members of an armed terrorist group in the city of al-Zabadazi, killing a terrorist, Tareq al-Hourani and injuring others.

Terrorists killed, gatherings and hideouts obliterated in Idleb

A military source told SANA that Terrorists hideouts and gatherings were targeted in the areas of Kifr Jales, Jabal al-Arba’een, Shinnan, Bazabour in Idleb countryside, killing and injuring scores of terrorists.

The source added that the army dismantled 4 explosive devices weighing between 25-50 kg on Idleb-al-Mastouma.

Another army unit targeted two vehicles loaded with weapons and ammunition in the town of Failoun, killing all the terrorists in them.

An army unit thwarted a terrorist group’s attempt to attack army checkpoint in Maakram in Jabal al-Arbayeen area, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their equipment.

Terrorist groups eliminated in Aleppo

SANA reporter quoted a military source as saying that army units eliminated armed terrorist groups in al-Bab city and in the villages and towns of Handarat, Hreitan, al-Rashdin, Orum, Hilan, Kafr Hamra, al-Wdeihi and al-Mansoura in the countryside of Aleppo.

The terrorists’ weapons and ammunition were destroyed in the operations.

The source added that intensive army operations were carried out against armed terrorist groups during which all their members were killed and injured on al-Mislmiyeh road and in al-Nairab, al-Lairamoun and in the surrounding of Aleppo Central Prison and al-Kindi Hospital, in addition to Salah-Eddin, al-Marjeh and Sheikh S’eed neighborhoods.

The source said that the army clashed with terrorists who tried to attack a military checkpoint in the area of al-Misherfi in Homs countryside, eliminating 3 terrorists and injuring others.

Terrorists’ boat, dens destroyed in Homs

Meanwhile, a terrorists’ boat laded with weapons and ammunition was destroyed in al-Rastan Lake in Homs countryside, with all terrorists onboard killed.

An army unit destroyed a terrorists’ rocket launcher in the Industrial City in al-Rastan city, while another unit left a number of terrorists dead or injured following an operation against a terrorist gathering in the Sports Complex in the town.

Terrorists’ dens were destroyed in the area of Sheikh Ibrahim al-Hakim, while members of an armed terrorist group were killed on the outskirts of al-Dar al-Kabira village in the countryside.

Other army units eliminated terrorist groups in the neighborhoods of Jouret al-Shayah, al-Qarabis and Bab Hood in the city of Homs, in addition to eliminating a terrorist group near Oum al-Zennar Church in al-Hamidiye neighborhood.

On a relevant note, hundreds of people from the town of Talbiseh in Homs countryside protested after the Friday prayers, demanding that the Syrian Army expel terrorists from the town and restore security and stability to it.

Locals said that they suffer on daily basis due to the crimes of terrorists and that they can’t take it anymore, noting that the town has been paralyzed after terrorists entered it, forcing many locals to leave and affecting the livelihoods of those who remained.

Large numbers of non-Syrian terrorists killed in Daraa

The army units eliminated huge numbers of non-Syrian terrorists, the majority of them were Saudi, Qatari, Jordanian and Palestinian nationalities, in Daraa western countryside.

A military source told SANA that the army targeted terrorists’ gathering in the area of Ghadeer al-Bustan, killing and injuring scores of terrorists.

The source added that an army unit destroyed two vehicles loaded with terrorists and weapons on Qaqas road and killed many terrorists. Among the killed terrorists were Mohammad Saud al-Qadi and Hadi al-Khaledi, of the Jordanian nationality, Mohammad Ahmad Habbari, of the palestinain nationality, Talal al-Etri of the Saudi nationality and Suleiman al-Der’e of the Qatari nationality in addition to terrorists Bassam Ahmad al-Bunni, Ibrahim al-Daher, Yahya al-Khayrat, Yaseen al-Zoubi, Mansour al-Masri and Yamen al-Ta’an.

An army unit prevented terrorist groups from attacking army checkpoints in the village of al-Duwayra near Basr al-Harir, leaving a number of terrorists dead or injured and destroying their weapons and equipment.

Terrorists trying to cross border from Jordan repelled

In the same context, an army unit aborted an attempt by an armed terrorist group to infiltrate from the Jordanian territories into Daraa in al-Mata’iyeh village, a military source told SANA.

The source confirmed that all members of the terrorist group were killed and injured and their weapons were destroyed.
