In a clear defiance of terrorism, children in Bab Touma, Damascus marched through the streets of the neighborhood on the occasion of Christmas.
The march set off from the church of Notre Dame of Dormition in al-Zaitoun alley into the Cathedral of Syriac Orthodox in Sifl al-Tala where the children expressed joy of the coming of Christmas, hoping peace and security would prevail in Syria.
The participants held ornamented Christmas trees while a number of men who wear the uniform of Santa Claus granted gifts to the children.

I wish all the CHILDREN inside Syria, Libya, Gaza, Africa a merry Christmas and a BETTER New Year; regardless of what the adults in their lives are saying. Children are the future.
May 2014 be much BETTER than 2013 was for all the children , job-seekers, & workers inside Syria, Libya, USA, Gaza, Africa, Egypt, West Bank, Asia, Haiti, Mexico, North & South Korea, Cyprus, Greece, & the world; Because NONE of is enjoying or benefiting from the mess going on now.
Earth must be governed by compassion, fairness, science, healthy food for all, lots of mass-transit such as subways + rapid-rail + buses etc, honest fair free trade, freedom, pragmatism, and the people. & may this happen for all of us in 2014!
