Egypt declares Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization

The Egyptian government has announced that the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization, and it has banned on its activities including protests.

Minister of Social Solidarity, Ahmad al-Biri, said during a press conference that in case the Muslim Brotherhood violated the government’s decision, anti-terrorism laws would be implemented.

On September 23rd, an Egyptian court banned the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood and all its affiliate establishments.

The decision of the Egyptian government came a day after a bloody day in Egypt as a car bomb claimed the lives of 15 people and the Muslim Brotherhood was blamed on that.
