Syrian Clans

Damascus 7/1/2014 – Syrian Clans Gathering stressed that nobody represents them except those who are inside Syria, asserting that those who are abroad have no right to speak in the name of the Syrian clans or in the name of the Syrian people.

In a press conference on Tuesday at Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus, the clans granted the Syrian government’s delegation to the international conference on Syria the right and popular authorization to represent the clans.

“Those who shed the blood of the Syrian people and supported the armed terrorist groups do not represent the Syrian people in Geneva 2 conference,” they said in their statement.

The clans stressed that many who were supported and funded by terrorism-backing countries, have claimed that they represent the clans in Syria in a bid to make its sound that the clans are included in the so-Called “Doha Coalition” and “Istanbul Council”, reiterating that the clans are only represented by those inside Syria who paid their blood and money in its defense.

“The Syrians are the only ones to find solution to the crisis in Syria without foreign interference,” the statement confirmed, stressing that the sons of the clans support the Syrian Arab Army in confronting terrorism and the conspiracy hatched against the country.

They said that national unity and support to the Syrian leadership are the only guarantor of Syria’s unity, calling on the honest mass media and international organizations and bodies to see the reality of what is going on in Syria due to the terrorists’ barbarism.

They said that the reason behind the gathering is to clarify the stance of the clans as there have been many attempts to distort the image of the clans and to undermine their patriotism and dignity.

They also expressed gratitude to Iran for its support to Syria and to the national media outlets that confronted the misguiding of tycoon media outlets that tried to mislead the public opinion on the reality of the events in Syria.
