In a statement to “Anatolia” agency Omar Abu Laila, a spokesman of the General Staff of “Free Army – the Eastern Front,” said that “a fistfight took place between the thirty members of the military council on the one hand, and the leaders of the fronts and military councils of the General Staff of the Free Army on the other hand, after a dispute broke out between them on the contents of the “settlement agreement”, which occurred two days ago, and provided for the dismissal of “Defense Minister” in “the Syrian Temporary government” Asaad Mustafa, and the “Chief of Staff of the Free Army” General Salim Idris, However, Abu Laila said that “Jarba received three punches though he was not a party in the quarrel, but was trying to separate the two fighting groups”.
A meeting was held in Istanbul, on Thursday evening, which included Jarba, the thirty members of the military council, and leaders of the fronts and military councils to approve the agreement signed between the coalition and members of the General Staff, Wednesday, which provides for both of Mustafa, backed by the military council and the coalition, and Idris, backed by the leaders of fronts, to resign, and to expand the military council and to increase the number of its members, as an attempt to reach a settlement of the crisis taking place between the two sides since last February, after the military council dismissed Idris off his position, which was rejected by the latter.
