Terrorist mortar attacks continue to claim more innocent lives as 6 children were killed in Damascus. According to the Police Command, 4 mortar shells fired by terrorists hit al-Dakhaniyeh area, killing 6 kids. 5 more citizens were reported wounded. 3 other civilians have suffered severe injuries due to a mortar shell at the intersection of Harasta suburbs
8 citizens injured by terrorists’ shell in Damascus
Meanwhile, three mortar shells hit Burj al-Rous area in al-Qassaa quarter in the capital Damascus, causing injury to a citizen and material damage to a house and a car.
A source at Damascus Police Command said that five citizens got injured by a mortar shell which landed near al-Jahez park, in addition to huge material damage caused in the surrounding area.
The source added that two mortar shells landed near al-Jamarek roundabout, injuring two citizens and causing material damage.
Terrorists detonate canal on Damascus- Sweida road, alternative road provided
In another context, terrorists detonated an explosive device in a sewage canal on Damascus-Sweida highway between the villages of Buraq and al-Sura al-Kabira on the border in Daraa province, causing material damage only.
A source at Sweida police command said that terrorists blew up the canal with explosives after midnight, adding that maintenance workshops are repairing the road after finding an alternative road for passers-by.
The source clarified that engineering units dismantled 12 explosives found near the canal.
