Settlers annex Palestinian-owned land under military protection in Arrabah town
JENIN – A large number of Jewish settlers under military protection on Tuesday seized a vast tract of Palestinian-owned land in Arrabah town, south of Jenin, and embarked on bulldozing its olive trees.
Local sources told the Palestinian information center (PIC) that soldiers and armed settlers cordoned off the area where the land is located and prevented its owners from going in.
They added that the settlers appropriated the land as part of their attempts to seize Palestinian-owned lands near Dotan settlement in order to expand it.
40 dunums of land cultivated with olive trees were destroyed and leveled by Israeli bulldozers.
The seized land is owned by Jamal Zuhairi, who did not receive a prior warning about any Israeli intention to annex his land to the settlement in order for him to take legal action against it.
