08/07/2014 – WEST BANK – Armed Jewish settlers on Monday and Tuesday tried to kidnap two Palestinian kids in Bethlehem and Al-Khalil, according to local sources.
An eyewitness explained that Jewish settlers from Karmiel settlement, east of Yatta town to the north of al-Khalil, tried on Monday to snatch 13-year-old boy Hani Kaabna as he was leaving his home.
“The settlers left a vehicle and the child Hani saw them approaching him, but he ran while the settlers chased him a long distance before they stopped running after him,” he stated.
In a similar incident, other settlers tried at dawn Tuesday to kidnap 17-year-old Ramadan Raiya in Beit Sahour town near Bethlehem.
Eyewitnesses said that a group of settlers aboard a car entered Beit Sahour and arrived at an area near the Christian youth society and tried to capture the boy, but he managed to flee and the presence of some citizens protected him.
Such incidents took place after a terrorist Jewish cell kidnaped last Wednesday 16-year-old Mohamed Abu Khudair and burned him alive.
