Syrian Arab Army’s clampdown on terrorists continue in various areas

04/10/2014 ~ Army continued operations against positions of terrorist organizations in various areas on Saturday, clamping down hard on them and inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.

Numbers of terrorists were killed as units of the armed forces targeted their gatherings in operations that were concentrated in several towns and villages in the countryside of the coastal province of Lattakia.

SANA reporter quoted a military source as saying that an army unit destroyed a den for terrorists in Salma town in the northern countryside, leaving all terrorists inside it dead and wounded.

The source added that other army units destroyed a number of cars equipped with heavy machine guns which terrorists were using in the villages of al-Koum, Dourin, al-Mgheiriyeh and Tertyah.

Meanwhile, army units targeted a number of gatherings of terrorists in Kfarnan, Burj Qaei, Ein Hassan, al-Ghanto and in the surrounding of al-Deghli in Talbiseh in the countryside of the central province of Homs.

A military source confirmed that the operations resulted in the killing of numbers of the terrorists, while others were wounded.

In another context, units of the armed forces foiled an attempt by a group of terrorists to sneak from the direction of Jisr al-Khrab into the farms surrounding al-Waer neighborhood in the city of Homs.

Another group of terrorists also attempted to infiltrate the villages of al-Mekhtariyeh and al-Saan from the direction of Housh Hajar and al-Deghli in the countryside of Homs and were repelled by the army units.

The operations left many of the infiltrating terrorists dead and wounded.

In Aleppo, a military source told SANA that the army units targeted dens of terrorists in Andan, Tal Qrah, al-Mallah land, Bashkwa, cement factory, al-Jbaileh, Tal Jbeen, Hanano, al-Shqaif, Hraitan, al-Meslmiyeh, al-Amriyeh, Mare’, al-Kastillo, Dweir al-Zaitoun and Tal Sozen in Aleppo and its countryside, killing and injuring scores of terrorists.

The source added that other army units destroyed cars for terrorists loaded with weapons and ammunition in al-Mansoura, Kroum Azezeh and Kfar Hamra, killing many terrorists.

An armored car with all terrorists inside it was also destroyed in al-Layramoun.
In the same context, army units killed and injured terrorists and destroyed vehicles fitted with heavy machine guns in several areas and roads in the countryside of the southern province of Daraa.

Defense Minister inspects Syrian Arab Army units, visits injured army personnel

04/10/2014 ~ Defense Minister Gen. Jassem al-Freij on Saturday visited a number of army units, inspecting their readiness and the operations they’re conducting against terrorist organizations.

Al-Freij relayed the greetings of President Bashar al-Assad to the soldiers, saying that the army’s victories against terrorists will result in restoring security and stability to Syria, lauding the great sacrifices made by the soldiers in order to protect the country.

The Defense Minister also visited injured army personnel, wishing them a quick recovery, as did Chief of General Staff of the Army and Armed Forces Gen. Ali Abdullah Ayoub.

Commanders of military divisions also visited injured army personnel as well as martyrs’ graveyards, placing wreaths of flowers at the monuments dedicated to martyrs.

Syrian Arab Army  wipes out terrorists’ leaders in Harasta, continues counter-terrorism operations across country

03/10/2014 ~ Army units on Friday continued counter-terrorism military operations across the country, wiping out terrorists’ leaders in Harasta and Jarrod al-Qalamoon.

Army units killed and wounded scores of terrorists and destroyed their criminal tools in al-Wa’er farms and a number of areas in Homs northern and eastern countryside.

A military source told SANA reporter that five terrorists were killed and others were injured in al-Khrab street in al-Wa’er farms.

According to the source, 15 terrorists were killed in the north of al-Amriah village as a car was destroyed with all terrorists and weapons inside it between al-Ghajar village and Housh al-Taleb.

A terrorists’ den was targeted in al-Rastan and a terrorists’ infiltration attempt into Jbourin in the north countryside of Homs province was thwarted where a number of terrorists were killed and injured.

The source indicated that terrorists’ gatherings were targeted in the villages of Khattab, Rahoum, Bait Kafa and al-Dwaibieh in the eastern countryside of Homs.

Army units destroyed terrorists’ vehicles in al-Helbe town in Homs countryside.

In Aleppo, a military source announced that army units destroyed vehicles with the terrorists inside them in Handarat camp, Kafr Hamra, Bashkoi and Saifat in Aleppo countryside

A military source said army units destroyed a factory used for making explosives and mortars, as well as a large arms cache near Tal Karatin village in Idleb countryside, killing large numbers of terrorists affiliated to Ajnad al-Sham terrorist organization.

Army units also inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists and eliminated their criminal tools in Daraa, its countryside and in Quneitra countryside.

According to a military source army units targeted terrorists’ dens and gatherings in al-Bajabjeh neighborhood and Jordan street in Daraa al-Balad

while other units foiled terrorists’ infiltration attempt into al-Manshieh neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad, killing and wounding a number of them.

Terrorists’ infiltration attempt into Atman town, in Daraa countryside was also foiled. Many terrorists were killed and wounded.

In Quneitra countryside, terrorists’ gatherings in Nabe’ al-Sakher and Um Batneh were targeted.

Military source said that the army units targeted gatherings of terrorists in the area surrounding Beit Jenn and in Mas’hara in the countryside of the southern province of Quneitra, killing scores of them and wounding others, in addition to destroying their equipment.

In Hama countryside, units of the army killed scores of terrorists and wounded others, also destroying tens of their cars after targeting their gatherings in Morek, al-Latamneh, Kaf Zita, al-Habit, Hasraya, Abu Reideh, Latmin, Lahaya, al-Sayyad and Maarkebbeh.

Military source said that the army units targeted a convoy of cars which terrorists were driving on Jassem-Enkhil road in the countryside of the southern province of Daraa, killing all terrorists aboard the cars, while other army units stormed dens and gatherings of terrorists in Kfar Nasej, Jassem, Samlin, Aqraba and Bosra al-Sham, leaving a number of them dead and wounded.

Army unit targetted gathering of terrorists on al-Mahs Hill in Daraa countryside, killing terrorists and wounding others, and destroying two armored vehicles.

Meanwhile, army units killed terrorists and wounded others in al-Kark and the Old Customs neighborhoods in Daraa al-Balad.

Syrian Arab Army  presses ahead with operations against terrorists

02/10/2014 ~ Army continues to crush positions of terrorist organizations, hemming them in and destroying their dens and equipment in various areas across the country.

Units of the armed forces killed a number of terrorists and injured others after targeting their gatherings and dens and foiled an infiltration attempt in the countryside of the central province of Homs.

A military source told SANA reporter that army units killed many terrorists and wounded others in the areas of Um Sharshouh, al-Hilaliyeh farm, Tal Abu al-Sanasel, Ma’saret al-Aseileh, Ebb al-Ghajar and al-Rastan.

Other army units targeted gatherings and dens of terrorists between the village of Abu al-Alaya and Tal Jadid in the eastern countryside of the province and others in al-Tayiba al-Gharbiyeh village in al-Houla, killing a number of terrorists during the operations.

Among the killed terrorists was Saif al-Khatib, a terrorist group’s leader, in addition to Ismail Mustafa, Anwar Abdul-Karim Mustafa and Mohammad Bilal Shaaban.

Other army units destroyed dens of terrorists in al-Qarya al-Namozajjieh, Beir Kadim, east of al-Sikhna, Um Tweina and al-Rastan in the countryside, according to the source.

Another army unit foiled an attempt by terrorists to infiltrate from the village of al-Sultaniyeh into the village of Abu al-Alaya in the eastern countryside, leaving a number of them dead and others wounded.

An army unit dismantled an explosive device that weighs 100 kg of TNT in Ghweiran neighborhood in Hasaka city.

A source in the province said that terrorists planted the explosive device before they fled last month under the Syrian army’s blows.

Another army unit found a number of rifles including a machinegun and an amount of ammunition that were hidden in a cemetery in the area.

On Sept 16th, the army restored stability to the neighborhood of Ghweiran in Hasaka.
Army units carried out several operations against terrorist organizations, targeting their gatherings and equipment in various areas in the central province of Hama.

SANA reporter quoted a military source as saying that army units killed many terrorists and injured others in Kafar Zeita, Talaas, Skeik, al-Buweida and Qasr Bin Wardan in the countryside.

Other army units destroyed terrorists’ dens in Maar Kebbeh, Douma, Arafa, al-Zallaqiyat, Ebb al-Khazneh, Qanater, Qastal, Hamada Omar, Jana al-Albawi, Abu Hbeilat, Tabbaret al-Hamra and Mourek, with the source confirming that many of the terrorists were killed during the operations.

Meanwhile, an army unit destroyed an armored vehicle in al-Latamina in the countryside of Hama, leaving all terrorists aboard it dead.

A military source told SANA reporter that army units killed scores of terrorists, 11 of whom are of Libyan nationality, and destroyed four pick up cars equipped with heavy machine guns after targeting several of the terrorists’ gatherings and dens in Jabal al-Zawiya in Idleb countryside.

The source added that other army units destroyed dens of terrorists in al-Taman’a and Taftanaz, Khan al-Subul, al-Hamidiyia, Kafar Sajna, Ta’oum, Wadi Sakhri and Ma’aret al-Nu’man in the countryside.

Meanwhile, army units targeted gatherings of terrorists in Tal Salmou and Um Jerrin to the north of Abu al-Duhour in the countryside, leaving a number of terrorists dead and others wounded.

In Aleppo countryside, units of the armed forces destroyed dens of terrorists and a number of their vehicles in al-Mansoura, Kafar Hamra and Tal Rif’at, leaving all terrorists aboard them dead.

Units of the armed forces killed a number of terrorists and injured others in the towns of Mas’hara and al-Hamidiyeh in the countryside of the southern province of Quneitra.

Army units killed big numbers of terrorists, injured others and destroyed their dens in Kafarnasej, Masshara and Aqraba towns in the province.

Units of the armed forces targeted gatherings of terrorists in al-Nu’eima, al-Sheikh Miskeen and Deir al-Adas in the countryside of the southern province of Daraa, leaving a number of terrorists dead and others wounded, in addition to destroying a heavy machine gun on Khrab al-Shahm -al-Yadouda road.

Army units targeted terrorists’ gatherings in Attman town, Tal al-Allaqia, Tal Antar, Deir al-Adas, Inkhel and Nawa in the province. Many terrorists were killed and a mine cache was destroyed in al-Hrak town, a military source said.

Meanwhile, army units killed big numbers of terrorists, injured others and destroyed their dens in Kafarnasej, Masshara and Aqraba towns in Quneitra province.

Increasing numbers of terrorists killed as Syrian Arab Army units target their gatherings across the country

01/10/2014  ~ Units of the armed forces continued on Wednesday to launch military operations against the terrorist organizations across the country, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.

A military source told SANA reporter that army units targeted gatherings of terrorists in Bosra al-Sham, Atman, al-Hrak and al-Yadouda, while other units destroyed a bulldozer in al-Nu’eima town in the countryside of Daraa.

The source confirmed that the operations resulted in the killing of a number of terrorists, while others got wounded.

Army units clashed with terrorists who tried to infiltrate al-Sheikh Miskeen town in Daraa countryside, killing and injuring a number of the assailants.

A source in the province said that among the dead terrorists were Saif Eddin Khaled al-Deiri, who was the leader of the terrorist group, in addition to Alaa Mohammad Jouma al-Shalhoub and Mohammad Khaled al-Awad.

Other units targeted terrorist concentrations and hideouts in the areas of Deir al-Adas, Kafr Nasej, Tal al-Allaqiya, Tal Antar, south of al-Maasara, and on a dirt road between Atman and Tafas in Daraa countryside, eliminating a number of terrorists and injuring others.

An army unit prevented terrorists from infiltrating al-Minshiye neighborhood in Daraa, eliminating many terrorists and injuring others.

Meanwhile, an army unit killed many terrorists and injured others in Mas’hara and al-Samadaniyeh al-Gharbiyeh in the countryside of Quneitra.

A military source said army units targeted a convoy of terrorists’ cars west of Mashara town heading from Mamtana and Rweiheina towns, and destroy several dens in Um Batna in Quneitra countryside.

Several terrorists were killed and others were wounded.

Army units also targeted gatherings of terrorists in Kadin, Salma, Dourin, al-Mugheiriyeh and Tirtyah areas in the northern countryside of the coastal province of Lattakia, killing a big number of them and destroying many of their cars which were equipped with heavy machine guns.

Army units destroyed several boats for terrorists in al-Rastan Lake, killing all terrorists aboard, in addition to eliminating scores of terrorists in al-Waer, al-Sam’alil and Deir Salam in al-Houla and in al-Hilaliya farm in Um Sharshouh in the countryside of the central province of Homs.

Meanwhile, the authorities arrested a terrorist group in al-Meshtaiye village in the countryside of Talkalakh, and seized several explosive devices and drugs.

A source at Homs province told SANA that five terrorists who had been using a house in al-Meshtaiye village in Wadi al-Nadara area as a hideout were arrested, adding that 11 explosive devices and a large cache of medicine and drugs were found inside the house.

Units of the armed forces targeted gatherings of terrorists in the surrounding of al-Shughr town in Jisr al-Shughour and in the areas of Kafar Najd, Kafar Lata, al-Araba’een mountain, Nahla, al-Beit al-Sini, al-Rami and Mantaf in the countryside of the northern province of Idleb, according to a military source.

SANA reporter quoted the source as saying that many terrorists were killed and one of their cars which was equipped with a heavy machine gun and an anti-tank base were destroyed during the operations.

Among the terrorists who were killed in the surrounding of al-Shughir town are Yunus Mohammad al-As’ad, Khaldoun Abu Qadir and Said al-Yusuf, according to the source.

In Deir Ezzor, a unit of the armed forces destroyed two dens for ISIS terrorists in Nazlet al-Rdeisat the city, killing and injuring several of them.

A source at the province told SANA that other army units wounded several ISIS terrorists and destroyed their vehicles and weapons while targeting their gatherings in the streets of al-Takaya and Hweijeh Sakr in the city.

30/09/2014  ~  Units of the armed forces on Tuesday continued to launch wide-scale military operations against terrorist organizations across the country, inflicting heavy losses upon them.

Units of the armed forces foiled terrorists’ infiltration attempt from al-Barghouthia into Tal Fraitan in the eastern countryside of Homs central province, leaving a number of them dead and wounded.

A military source told SANA that army units targeted gatherings of terrorists in the villages of al-Shandakhiyeh al-Janoubiyeh, Jebab Hamad, Dab’at al-Mleiha and Um al-Reesh in the eastern countryside of Homs province, killing a number of them and injuring others.

Units of the armed forces also killed many terrorists on Homs-al-Meslamiyeh road and targeted gatherings of others in the village of Aqrab, near a checkpoint in al-Da’ouna in al-Houla area and in the village of al-Zmeimeer in al-Rastan, killing a number of terrorists, in addition to destroying one of their cars.

Army units targeted terrorist concentrations and hideouts in al-Mshairfeh, Masaada, and their surroundings in Homs’ eastern countryside, eliminating a number of terrorists and injuring others.

Other units destroyed a number of vehicles equipped with machineguns along with the terrorists on board in Jbab Hamad and Majbal al-Tibeh.

Army units also killed many terrorists and injured others and destroyed their dens in the farms surrounding Sa’sa’ town in Damascus Countryside.

Army units killed a number of terrorists, injure others and destroy a car equipped with a heavy machine gun, an anti-tank base with all its crew and a number of motorcycles during operations that targeted the terrorists’ gatherings in the surrounding of Nahleh town in the countryside of the northern province of Idleb.

Army units eliminated a number of terrorists and destroyed vehicles they had been using in the areas of al-Taman’a, Khan Sheikhoun, Kaft Ein, and Tal al-Toufan in Idleb countryside.

Units of the armed forces targeted a den for terrorists in Samlin and another in al-Soura in the countryside of the southern province of Daraa, leaving the terrorists inside the dens dead and others wounded, in addition to destroying an ammunition and weapons cache in Bosra al-Sham.

SANA reporter quoted a military source as saying that army units targeted gatherings and vehicles of terrorists near the village of Khrab al-Shahm in the countryside of Daraa, leaving a number of them dead and wounded, in addition to destroying three of their vehicles which were equipped with heavy machine guns.

The source added that units of the armed forces killed scores of terrorists and injured others on Dael-Tafas road, while other units destroyed a number of motorcycles which terrorists were riding on Ataman-Tafas road in the countryside.

Meanwhile, two dens for terrorists from Jabahat al-Nusra terrorist organization were destroyed in the towns of Nawa and Enkhil, with a number of the terrorists inside the dens getting killed and wounded.

Scores of terrorists were also killed and others were wounded and their ammunition and weapons were seized by army units which targeted their gatherings to the east of al-Sheikh Miskeen town towards the town of Qirfa in the countryside.

Gatherings of terrorists were also targeted in Daraa al-Balad in the city of Daraa.

Units of the armed forces carried out operations against a den for terrorists in Samlin and another in al-Soura in the countryside of the southern province of Daraa, leaving the terrorists inside the dens dead and wounded, a military source said.

SANA reporter quoted the source as saying that an ammunition and weapons cache for terrorists was destroyed in Bosra al-Sham.

Army units also targeted gatherings of terrorists in Kammouneh town and in the area surrounding Khirbet Ghazaleh in the countryside, killing many of the terrorists, while others were wounded.

In the countryside of Quneitra, army units killed a number of terrorists and wounded others in the villages of Mas’hara, al-Ruweihniyeh, Kfar Nasej, Taranja, and al-Samadania al-Gharbiyeh.

Units of the armed forces targeted dens and gatherings of terrorists in Khirbet Sultana and al-Sweisa in the countryside of the southern province of Quneitra, a military source told SANA reporter.

Defense Minister tours Adra after defeating terrorism

29/09/2014  ~  Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed forces, Minister of Defense Fahd Jasem al-Freij, accompanied by a number of officers, toured Monday the Worker city of Adra and Adra al-Balad in Damascus countryside, conveying the amity and congratulations of President Bashar al-Assad to the armed forces who restored security and stability to the city.

During the tour, General Freij listened to an explanation by the field commanders on the conditions of the military operations carried out by the Syrian Army who eliminated the armed terrorist organizations that terrified the safe civilians and perpetrated acts of sabotage, kidnapping and killing in the region.

He inspected the works being implemented by the engineering units to clean the city from mines and explosives planted by the terrorists.

Later, the Defense Minister went to Adra al-Balad, touring its streets which were turned into tunnels and trenches by the terrorists, making them starting points for their criminal acts.

He affirmed that the military leadership is proud of the heroism of the army members; hailing the high moral spirit the soldiers are enjoying in sacrificing their souls for the sake of the Homeland.

General Freij stressed that the Syrian Army is capable of carrying out its duties in different conditions to defeat the terrorist conspiracy to which Syria is exposed.

Syrian Arab Army achieves advance towards Douma, eliminates terrorists across country

29/09/2014  ~  Army units, in cooperation with the national defense forces, on Monday developed  its operations towards Douma city in Damascus Countryside in addition to targeting terrorists’ gatherings in many areas across the country.

Units of the armed forces gained control over Tal al-Souan town and the farms surrounding it, in addition to advancing in Joubar neighborhood, killing and injuring scores of terrorists, most of them non-Syrians.

A military source told SANA that the army units, in cooperation with the popular defense attacked Douma city and gained control over Tal al-Souan town and the farms and factories surrounding it, inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists.

SANA field reporter said that the army units destroyed dens and gatjherings of terrorists in Tal Kurdi to the northeast of Douma city, killing and injuring many terrorists, including Jasim al-Awaidat from Jordan, Malik Taleb and Ali al-Zaidi.

Other army units stormed dens of terrorists in Ein Tarma valley and to the east of al-Doukhaniyeh, killing a number of terrorists, most of the non-Syrians.

Among the dead terrorists were Sadoun al-Ayad from Iraq and Sidi al-Tarhouli from Tunisia.

The army units also advanced in Joubar neighborhood, killing many terrorists, including Wahid al-Omari from Palestine, Adnan al-Rabahi and Mustfa al-Ghazawi.

In the mountains of Qara town in al-Qalamoun area, the army units inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists.

Meanwhile, another army unit destroyed two terrorists’ cars loaded weapons and ammunition on Basimeh-Deir Mqrain road.

Army units targeted a convoy of terrorists’ vehicles in the wilderness of Ersal in al-Qalamoun area in Damascus Countryside, destroying a number of vehicles along with the terrorists on board.

Army units killed many terrorists, injured others and destroyed a den of terrorists’ leaders in a series of operations in the countryside of Homs central province.

A military source told SANA that army units completely destroyed a den of terrorists’ leaders to the east of al-Kom and killed many terrorists in Borj Qa’e in al-Houla and Tal Abu Sanasel in the direction of Jabbourin-Om Sharshouh.

A vehicle equipped with a machinegun was also destroyed in the direction of Beit al-Nabhan in al-Ghanto according to the source.

Army units also eliminated many terrorists and injured others in al-Rastan, Oum al-Reesh, al-Duwaybeh, and al-Ghajar, destroying three vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns and an armored vehicle.

Many terrorists were killed or injured in explosion of a car loaded with mines and ammunition to the east of Syriatil area in the direction of Jabal al-Shaer in Palmyra countryside.

Army units targeted a terrorists’ gathering near the northern reservoir of  Deir al-Adas  town in Daraa countryside and destroyed 2 terrorists’ cars equipped with heavy machineguns on al-Yadodeh road in addition to a number of vehicles to the east of Tisiya town in the countryside, leaving many terrorists dead and wounded.

Meanwhile, terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra detonated four car bombs in headquarters of the so-called “Free Army” in several areas in Daraa southern province.

Local sources told SANA that the bombings took places in the “Free Army” headquarters in Da’el city and the towns of al-Naima, Tafas and al-Yadouda in Daraa countryside, leaving numbers of terrorists dead and others injured.

A car laden with explosives was detonated in a headquarter for the so-called “Falloujet Hawran” splinter group in al-Naima town.

Another car was blown up north of the main intersection in Da’el city, targeting a headquarter for the “Free Army”. Several terrorists were killed and others wounded in the bombing.

Civilian deaths were reported given that the Free Army headquarters are located in civilian neighborhoods.

In Daraa al-Balad, Army units killed a number of terrorists to the west of al-Yarmouk suburb.

Army units kill a number of terrorists and destroy vehicles with all terrorists inside them in operations against their gatherings and dens in Khan Shaikhoun, Idleb countryside.

Army units destroyed terrorists’ hideout in al-Taman’ah and a workshop for manufacturing homemade rockets and launchers in Taftanaz in Idleb countryside, killing and injuring a large number of terrorists.

Other units eliminated many terrorists and injured others in Maaret al-Nu’man, Kafrlata, Maaret Masrin, al-Habbit, Hila, and Kourin, destroying the terrorists’ vehicles and equipment.

Army units target terrorists’ gatherings in the direction of Murek-al-Latamneh-Kafer Zaita in Hama countryside, killing and injuring a number of them and destroying their vehicles.

Army units destroyed a number of terrorists’ vehicles and targeted a terrorist hideout in Khan al-Assal in Aleppo countryside, eliminating a number of terrorists and injuring others.

Meanwhile, other army units target dens and gatherings of terrorists in Deir Hafer, Orum, al-Mallah farms, Hanano, Old Aleppo, al-Layramoun, Salah-Eddin and al-Azamiyeh in Aleppo and its countryside, killing and injuring scores of terrorists, in addition to destroying their equipment.

Army units eliminated a number of ISIS terrorists and injured others in al-Hamidiye neighborhood and al-Takaya Street in Deir Ezzor city. Among the terrorists killed were Jaber Malla Hamid and Ghassan Mansour.

Another unit targeted concentrations of ISIS terrorists in the town of Mohassan and its surroundings in Deir Ezzor’s eastern countryside, eliminating a number of them, injuring others, and destroying their weapons and vehicles
