(SANA Military Report 13/1/2015) ~ Units of the Army and Armed Forces continued the clampdown against terrorist organizations, with the military operations resulting in killing many terrorists, while attack attempts are being repelled.
Homs
Dens and gatherings of terrorist organizations received heavy firepower in al-Msheirfeh al-Janoybiyeh village and the area between it and Rajm al-Qseir in the eastern countryside of Homs. Many of their members were killed and others were wounded as a result of that.
To the southwest of the central province, army units carried out special operations against terrorists’s dens in Wadi al-Samarmr and Wadi al-Kahf in the countryside of al-Qseir, leaving numbers of them killed.
Daraa
Army units in Daraa killed many terrorists and wounded others in Busra al-Sham and Ma’raba in the countryside of the southern province.
Another army unit killed a number of members of the terrorist organizations positioned in the area surrounding al-Nu’aima town, east of Daraa.
Hasaka
Units of the army in the northeastern province of Hasaka carried out a series of what a source in the province described as “successful” operations against members of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist organizations.
The source told SANA on Tuesday that the military operations in Tal Majdal, which is one of ISIS’s most prominent strongholds in the western countryside of Hasaka, inflicted heavy losses upon the organization in personnel and equipment.
The source also confirmed that a number of ISIS terrorists were left killed and others wounded after an army unit directly hit their gatherings in Mafraq al-Sideeq village in Mount Abdulaziz, 40 km west of Hasaka city.
Another unit of the army killed several ISIS terrorists in al-Hawouz village in the western countryside.
More terrorists from ISIS were killed and others were wounded during army operations in the villages of Tal Barak, to the northeast of Hasaka, and in Tal Hamees, southeast of Qamishli city, the source confirmed.
Meanwhile, units of the army, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, repelled an attack launched by ISIS against Khirbet Jaddou’ and Tal Ghazal, to which the army recently restored security. The attackers suffered heavy losses, according to the source.
(SANA Military Report 12/1/2015) ~ Syrian Arab Army continued on Monday its operations against the armed terrorist organizations in different areas of the country, directing heavy strikes upon them and killing scores of terrorists.
Damascus countryside
The army destroyed dens and gatherings of the armed terrorist organizations, a tunnel and warehouse for munitions in Harasta, Zamalka in Damascus countryside, killing many terrorists, some of them of Saudi nationality.
SANA field reporter said that a number of terrorists’ dens were destroyed near al-Zahraa mosque in Harasta and a tunnel in al-Ajami neighborhood, while a number of terrorists were killed.
In al-Rihan farms in Douma, the army carried out a series of military operations, killing terrorists, the majority of them from Saudi nationality; among them were Andul-Salam al-Faqi, Jamal Qawaz and Imad a-Soufi.
In Zamalka, the army carried out other operations against gatherings of terrorists, eliminating a number of terrorists, among them Firas al-Qatami, from Saudi Arabia.
Homs
A military source told SANA that Units of the army and the armed forces killed and injured scores of terrorists in the village of Rahoum and between Rahoum and Abu Hawadit villages in the eastern countryside of the central province of Homs.
Deir Ezzor
A military source told SANA that the army directed heavy strikes against convoys of terrorists while moving from al-Raqqa and Mayadeen into Deir Ezzor, destroying a number of their vehicles and kills many of them.
Meanwhile, the army destroyed gatherings of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist organization in al-Mre’ia, al-Jafra, Bu Omar, al-Khareta, al-Shoula, al-Ashara, al-Hussaynia, al-Hamediya, Jisr al-Siasiya in Deir Ezzor and its countryside.
During the operations, the army killed scores of terrorists and destroyed an armored vehicle, loaded with heavy machine guns and two boats on Euphrates River.
(SANA Military Report 11/1/2015) ~ Units of the Syrian Arab Army and the Armed Forces on Sunday continued to launch wide-scale military operations against the foreign-backed terrorist organizations across the country, destroying their dens and vehicles.
Damascus Countryside
Army units continued carrying out operations against terrorist organizations in Jobar area in Damascus Countryside, uncovering a network of tunnels connecting a number of buildings in the area.
A military source told SANA that the tunnel network is around 200 meters long, and that one of the tunnels terminated in a small chamber where terrorists kept abductees who were forced to carrying out digging, while two other tunnels terminated in bases where the terrorists planned their operations.
The source said that many terrorists who were holed up in the tunnels were eliminated.
Earlier on January 2nd, the army uncovered a similar tunnel network in Jobar which was around 600 meters long.
Deir Ezzor
The army targeted Sunday the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist organization’s hideouts and concentrated on the areas of al-Jbeila, al-Reshdyeh, al-Hweiqa, al-Rasafa, al-Arfi and al-Sina’a in Deir Ezzor city, killing a number of non-Syrian terrorists and destroying three vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns.
The terrorists, Saudi Bandar al-Shummar, the two Tunisians Othman Abu Qatada and Abu Mustafa, Libyan Abu-Ahmad and Egyptian Sufian Abu Taleb were identified among the dead.
Earlier in the day, army and armed forces units thwarted a terrorist attack by members of ISIS terrorist organization on the TV and Radio transmitter station in Tal al-Jahif in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, killing and injuring many of them.
The terrorist attack also targeted the fuel warehouses in Aiyash village in the countryside of the province.
The military operations resulted in the killing and the injury of large numbers of ISIS terrorists, most of them were foreigners, in addition to the destruction of 4 vehicles, one of which equipped with 23-mm cannon while the other 3 were equipped with machineguns.
Homs
Units of the army and armed forces continued its military operations in Homs, inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists and their ammunition in al-Hilaliyeh Farm and Tal Abu al-Sanasel towards Jabbourin.
A military source told SANA that a unit of the army and armed forces, in cooperation with popular defense groups, eliminated many terrorists and injured others in Tal Abu al-Sanasel in northern countryside of Homs.
Another Army unit killed and injured a number of terrorists in Rajm al-Qasser, 70 km to the east of Homs.
Daraa
Units of the army and armed forces destroyed armed terrorist organizations’ gatherings and vehicles in Jadal village in Allajat area, al-Shumarah village and Atman town in the countryside of the province.
Idleb
Units of the army and armed forces destroyed dens of the Takfiri terrorist organizations in the villages and towns of Taftanaz, Martin, Khan al-Subul, Kourin and the surrounding of Sarmin in the countryside of the province.
