Syrian Air Force Strikes Joint Meeting of Terrorist Leaders in Damascus Countryside, Kills 27

25/1/2015 ~ The Syrian Air Forces staged a massive targeted attack on a joint meeting of two major terrorist groups in Damascus countryside early on Sunday, killing and injuring a large number of the terrorist leaders.

The army airstrike targeted a gathering of Al-Nusra Front and Ahrar Al-Sham commanders in Mazaya district in the town of Zabadani in Damascus countryside.

A sum of 27 commanders of the Al-Nusra Front and Ahrar al-Sham were killed in the air raid.

The leader of the Al-Nusra Front, Abdulrahman Nassif, was also wounded during the airstrike.

Earlier today, a large number of terrorists were killed in heavy fighting between the Syrian army and the Al-Nusra Front in Damascus province.

The army soldiers struck a heavy blow at the terrorists in the areas of Kfeir Yabous, al-Zabadani, Eastern Ghouta, Douma and al-Qalamoun in Damascus, killing and injuring scores of them.

Syria has been the scene of insurgency since 2011 when certain western powers and their regional allies voiced loudly that Syrian protests have no diplomatic solution and they started supplying the country’s opposition groups with their arms and funds.

In 2014, specially after victory of President Bashar al-Assad in the country’s presidential election, the Army has gained upper hand in its anti-terrorism campaign, and has been partly successful in sealing borders with Turkey and Jordan.

Syrian Arab Army crushes several dens in Eastern Ghouta, kills more terrorists in other areas, including groups’ leaders

25-26 / 01 / 2015 ~ Units of the army and  armed forces on Sunday continued to launch intensified military operations against  terrorist organizations across the country, inflicting heavy losses upon them.

Idleb

Units of the army and armed forces killed 20 terrorists affiliated to the so-called “Suqour al-Sham Brigade” in Bzabour in the countryside of the northern province of Idleb.

The terrorist Fayez Mustafa al-Drei’i, a group’s leader, was identified among the killed.

A military source affirmed that the military operations in the area resulted also in destroying several dens and gatherings for terrorists along with their weapons and ammunition in Kansafra Jabal al-Zawia area.

In the surrounding of Jabal al-Arbaeen and the nearby villages of Kafr Lata, Kafr Najd and Nahla, army units carried out abrupt special operations, leaving numbers of terrorists killed and their weapons and ammunition destroyed.

More terrorists were killed during operations that targeted their gatherings in Nahlia village to the north of Ariha city.

In Jisr al-Shughour area, units of army and armed forces eliminated a number of terrorists in al-Sahn and Hallouz villages.

Supply routes of the terrorist organizations in al-Janoudiyeh village received direct hits by the army, with many terrorists getting killed and others wounded.

Military operations were renewed in Abo al-Duhour area, 40 km east of Idleb, where teh army units killed many terrorists, injured others and destroyed their weaponry and equipment in al-Hamidiyeh, Tal Salmo and Qar’a al-Ghazal.

Damascus Countryside

Units of the army and armed forces targeted areas from which rockets are being fired by terrorists towards residential neighborhoods in Damascus city, as several shells have already fallen in various areas in the capital, crushing a number of dens of terrorist organizations in Eastern Ghouta.

A unit of the army carried out a special operation against a den for terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in Madaya town in the western countryside of Damascus.

SANA reporter confirmed that the operation resulted in destroying all the weapons and ammunition inside the den, which was located in the northern quarter of the town, east of al-Zabadani city.

A number of terrorists were also killed during the operation, including Murad Mansour, Hamzeh Shebli and Baser Jdeed.

Daraa

A unit of the army and armed forces smashed two of terrorists’ dens, killing all terrorists inside them and destroying a rocket launching pad and an ammo cache, in the northeastern neighborhood of Busra al-Sham city in the countryside of Daraa province, southern Syria.

Other units of the army eliminated many terrorists and targeted and destroyed some of their vehicles, gatherings and weapons in the western entrance of Tafas town and in al-Sheikh Miskeen town in the countryside.

In the south part of al-Lujatt hill, many terrorists were killed, including Nabil Mohamed al-Hariri who was the leader of a terrorist group, and their ammo and weapons were destroyed.

A unit of Army eliminated many terrorists in Khirbet Gazala, while another unit targeted members of al-Forqan Brigades terrorist group in al-Sahlya. Mohamed al-Hariri, the leader of Salah al-Deen Faction terrorist group, was identified among the dead.

In the eastern part of Daraa city, an army unit killed a number of terrorists including Maher al-Abood and Ahmad al-Syma among them, while in Daraa al-Balad another unit clashed with terrorists to the east of Post Building, killing many of them, injuring others, and destroyed their weapons and ammo.

An army unit killed and injured a number of terrorists in the areas of Maaraba, Ataman and al-Hirak in Daraa countryside.

Homs

A series of accurate military operations were carried out against terrorist organizations’ strongholds in Wadi al-Kahf area near the Syrian- Lebanese border in Homs, a military source said.

SANA reporter quoted the source as saying that numbers of the organizations’ members were killed as a result of the operations, which took place in the countryside of al-Qseir.

Meanwhile, army units continued hunting down terrorist organizations in the eastern countryside of Homs, killing many of their members during operations that targeted their gatherings in the villages of al-Sultaniyeh, Rajm al-Qasr, Mas’ada and Um Sahrij, 70 km away from Homs city.

Another army unit killed several terrorists and left others wounded in Taldo in al-Houla area, where the terrorist Mohammad Saad-Eddin Ibrahim, leader of the so-called “military operations room in al-Houla” was killed yesterday.

Quneitra

Scores of takfiri terrorist organizations’ leaders and members were killed Sunday in military operations launched by units of the army and armed forces against their hideouts and gatherings in the countryside of Quneitra southern province.

A military source told SANA that units of the army and the armed forces destroyed a den of takfiri terrorist organizations’ leaders affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in the western part of Ovania village, north of al-Hamidiyeh village.

Three kilometers northwest of Tal al-Harrah where Israeli-backed terrorists are positioned and targeting civilians, a unit of the army and the armed forces destroyed terrorists’ gatherings, killing a
number of them to the west of the archeological hill in the center of Naba’ al-Sakhr village, 16km southeast of Quneitra city.

Another army unit launched direct hits against gatherings of the terrorist organizations, killing and injuring scores of their members, in al-Samadaniyeh al-Gharbiyeh town in the southern countryside of
the province.

The takfiri organizations which are moving between the Jordanian borders and the Israeli-occupied territories, including Jabhat al-Nusra, the so-called Ahrar al-Sham and al-Furqan Brigades, are working on destroying the archeological sites in the villages and towns of Quneitra countryside, looting relics and monuments and smuggling them out of the country.

Tens of terrorists, including Jabhat al-Nusra members, killed in several areas

24-25 / 01 / 2015 ~ Units of the army and the armed forces eliminated large numbers of members of terrorist organizations amid large-scale military operations carried out across the country, including 47 Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists, who were killed in Quneitra.

Damascus Countryside

Army units established full control over the town of Kfeir Yabous, which is located southwest of al-Zabadani in Damascus Countryside, 11 km from the Lebanese borders, killing scores of terrorists in the process, most of them from Jabhet al-Nusra.

The army continued to advance in the direction of al-Zabadani’s western mountains, destroying several terrorist hideouts and killing many terrorists including Khaldoun Omar, Khaled al-Tinawi, Abdelhakim al-Maghrebi, Adel Kanaan, Rateb al-Haj, and Omeir al-Khous.

In the Eastern Ghouta, army units inflicted heavy losses on terrorists in a series of precise operations targeting their hideouts and concentrations near al-Rashid Mosque in Tal Kerdi farms and in al-Rihan farms southeast of Douma.

These operations resulted in the death of several terrorists including Kayed Shumari from Saudi Arabia, Salman Rashed al-Abdat from Jordan, Abdelrahman Taleb, Naeem Saymeh, and Fouad Damnawi.

In Douma itself, army units performed concentrated strikes on terrorist hideouts near Badran roundabout and near al-Huda Mosque, resulting in the death of a number of terrorists including Mufid al-Najjar, Mohammad Jerudi, Obada al-Qtaifani, Yasin al-Raslan, Abdelrahman al-Juaidani, and Alaa al-Jobarani.

In the southern part of Eastern Ghouta, an army units destroyed a weapons and ammo cache in Zebdin in al-Mleiha area, while other units prevented terrorists from advancing towards the railway in al-Bahariye town and towards al-Qasimiye town in al-Nashabiye area, leaving many of the terrorists dead or injured and destroying their weapons and ammo.

In al-Qalamoun area, an army unit clashed with a terrorist group near Martabaya crossing point in the wilderness of Qara, 11 kilometers from the Lebanese border across from the town of Irsal, leaving the group’s members dead or injured.

Quneitra

Army unit killed 47 members of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in Mas’hara town in the countryside of the southern province of Quneitra, a military source said.

SANA reporter quoted the source as saying that the terrorists known as Abo Youssef, Abo Abdo, Abo Ajaj and Abo Mus’ab al-Ghanouji were identified among the killed.

Another unit of the army and the armed forces, the source added, killed and injured scores of terrorists southwest of al-Hamidiyeh town in the countryside in the frame work of concentrated operations against their dens.

The military operations also resulted in destroying a den for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization, along with the weapons and ammunition inside it, in al-Qahtaniyeh, 3 km to the south of Quneitra city where scores of takfiri
terrorist organizations are operating.

Daraa

Army units carried out concentrated operations against terrorist hideouts in Daraa countryside, leaving over 220 terrorists dead or injured.

40 terrorists were killed in Ibta’ village. The terrorist Mohammad Kassem al-Hariri, leader of the so-called Battalion 101 which is affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra, was identified among the dead.

In Dael, a town located 14 km to the north of Daraa city, a unit of the army and armed forces killed 30 terrorists, among them Mohammad Jamal Abu Jaish, Mohammad Jado al-Masalmeh, Mohammad Moussa Abu Zaid, Firas Khairo al-Masri and Mohammad al-Jamous.

According to a military source, military operations in Qarfa, Namer al al-Shaikh Miskeen resulted in the death and injury of 150 terrorists, mostly affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group.

Other units destroyed a vehicle along with the terrorists on board in the town of al-Shaikh Miskeen and several vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns in Enkhel, in addition to leaving a number of terrorists dead or injured in Barqa area south of Enkhel and Aib area north of Daraa city.

A unit of the army and armed forces killed all members of a takfiri terrorist group to the northwest of Atman town in the province, while another unit eliminated a number of terrorists in the town of al-Naima.

Army units destroyed two pickup trucks along with the terrorists on board on the road between Mleihet al-Atash and al-Hirak in Daraa countryside, in addition to eliminating several terrorists in Barq areas west of al-Buqai’e.

Other units eliminated many terrorists in al-Karak and al-Hirak, in addition to preventing terrorists from sneaking towards military sites in al-Fuqai’a and al-Dalla in Daraa countryside, eliminating a number of them and destroying their vehicles along with the terrorists on board.

In Daraa al-Balad, army units eliminated terrorists and destroyed their vehicles in al-Bajabjeh neighborhood, near the Syriatel building, al-Manshiye neighborhood, Tariq al-Sad neighborhood, and near al-Khalil Mosque and Abu Bakr Mosque in Daraa al-Balad.

Sweida

Takfiri terrorists in al-Lajat area fired 10 mortar shells on al-Soura al-Kabirah village, causing the injury of one civilian and his daughter, who were transported to the National Hospital of Swieda, a source at the Police Command in the southern province told SANA reporter.

The source added that the army bombarded the site from which terrorists fired the shells, inflicting heavy losses upon their ranks.

Meanwhile, a unit of the army and armed forces destroyed terrorist organizations’ gatherings, killing scores of their members and injuring others, in Tal Ash’hib to the east of Khelkheleh airport in the northern countryside of the province.

The army also destroyed a pickup equipped with a heavy machine gun on the road to Khirbet Awwad town, 48 km south of Sweida city. The operation resulted in the death of all terrorists who were aboard before they could reach Jamreen town in the countryside of Busra al-Sham.

Army units eliminated a number of terrorists and destroyed a pickup truck equipped with a heavy machinegun near the towns of Khirbeh and Jamrin in Swedia’s southwestern countryside.

Other units destroyed terrorist hideouts in Tuloul Abu Harat and Marta’a al-Faras in Sweida’s northern countryside, eliminating many terrorists and injuring others.

Homs

Units of the army and armed forces killed and injured a number of terrorists in Rajm al-Qasr, southern al-Mushairfa and Habra al-Sharqyia in the eastern countryside of Homs central province, according to a military source.

Other army units, the source told SANA, inflicted heavy losses upon terrorist groups in Salim area on the road to al-Salamiyeh, killing and injuring many of their members.

In al-Houla area, the army razed dens of terrorist organizations which had been targeting the neighboring villages with rockets and mortars.

Takfiri terrorist organizations, on their social media pages, acknowledged the death of Mohammed Saad Eddin Ibrahim, the leader of the so-called “military operations room in al-Houla”.

Yesterday, terrorist organizations in Tal Dahab and Kfar Laha targeted Maryamin village with several rocket and mortar shells, claiming the life of one civilian and injuring others.

Idleb

Army units killed large number of terrorists and injured many others in al-Nairab, Saraqeb, Kfar Najd, Kfar Lata and al-Buwaiti areas in the countryside of the northern province of Idleb.

In Abu al-Duhour, units of the army and armed forces carried out a series of military operations against Jabhat al-Nusra and Ahrar al-Sham terrorists, destroying several dens and gatherings for terrorists in the farms and villages of Tal Salmo, Qara’ al-Ghazal and al-Hamidieh.

Direct losses were inflicted upon terrorists during military operations against their dens near al-Nayrab village to the west of al-Arba’yeen Mountain that terrorists have been using as a springboard for their attacks.

Meanwhile, army units killed numbers of terrorists in Jidar Bakfaloun and al-Mouzra village, destroying their weapons and ammunition.

In Sarmin, 16 terrorists from the so-called “Khattab Battalion” which is affiliated to Suqour al-Sham Brigades were killed, among them non-Syrians.
