Saudi fighter planes continue to attack neighboring Yemen in hopes of re-installing ousted Yemeni president Mansur Hadi and putting down the rebellion that forced him to depart.
As usual, civilians bear the brunt of such a foreign attack.
Today, the Saudi-led coalition bombed a refugee camp, killing more than 40 and wounding as many as 200.
Despite not being given much of a heads-up by its Saudi “partners,” US support for the attack came early and with enthusiasm.
The U.S. military is preparing to expand its aid to Saudi Arabia in its air campaign against rebel forces in Yemen by providing more intelligence, bombs and aerial refueling missions for planes carrying out airstrikes there, American officials said Friday.

“The Yemeni nation will change the map of the region,” Al-Alam Arabic-language TV quoted Nasreddin Amer, member of Ansarullah’s Information Dissemination Committee as saying on Monday.
“We will respond to Saudi King Salman bin Abdel Aziz in the battlefield and unexpected events will take place in the coming days,” he added.
He reiterated that the Al Saud regime have embarked on attacking Yemen in order to prevent Yemen from becoming a free country which will not be under the control of the Saudi regime.

The Egyptian air force has arrested one of its pilots after he disobeyed orders for taking part in airstrikes against Yemen.
“I joined the army and studied to become a pilot to strike Israel and not Yemen,” Arab news website Omran Press quoted the arrested Egyptian pilot as saying.

“If the objective is to rescue the Yemeni people, why did you abandon the Palestinian people for decades? Why did you betray them? If the objective is to restore legitimacy in Yemen, why didn’t you seek that for Palestine?”
“The Saudis supported six wars to eradicate Yemen. However, you were defeated.”
“It is required to shed the Yemeni blood because the Saudi King lost control over Yemen. The real reason to this aggression is that Saudi Arabia has lost its hegemony and bets in Yemen and lost hope in its takfiri groups. It has sensed that Yemen is now for its people and this war aims to regain hegemony over Yemen.”

Houthi Shiite rebels obtained secret Yemeni intelligence documents with details about US-backed counter-terrorism operations, including the names and locations of informants, the Los Angeles Times reported citing American officials.
The documents were stolen when Houthi fighters took over the office of Yemen’s National Security Bureau in the country’s capital Sanaa, which was closely cooperating with the CIA on various anti-terror missions. US officials claim that some files were given to Iranian advisers. The Houthi rebels had direct control over the US intelligence files.
The leader of Yemen’s Houthi fighters has heaped scorn on Saudi Arabia for conducing unjust and heinous attacks on Yemeni people, saying the Arab kingdom is serving as a puppet for the United States and the Israeli regime.
Saudi Arabia is a puppet at the disposal of superpowers, the Houthi leader said, adding that Riyadh is putting in action the US-Israeli conspiracy in Yemen. Yemen’s fugitive president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi has arrived in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, as the Saudi regime pushes ahead with its airstrikes against the homeland of the fugitive president.

Saudi Arabian forces, joined by nine other countries, have launched a military operation in Yemen against Shiite Houthi rebels, the Saudi ambassador to the US said. The offensive, which started with airstrikes, will also involve “other military assets.”

Speaker of the People’s Assembly Mohammad Jihad al-Laham met on Tuesday a Belgian parliamentary delegation headed by member of the Flemish Parliament Filip Dewinter.
Dewinter said that President Bashar al-Assad is an ally, not an enemy, because he fights terrorism and extremism, adding “we realize that if Syria falls, Jordan and Lebanon and the Maghreb countries near Europe will fall, as terrorism will reach them too.”
“We are fully aware that Turkey provides all possible facilitations to western terrorists and militants, and any future talks with the Turkish government must be suspended until it changes its policies and stops its support for the terrorist organization ISIS,” he said.

The Syrian Arab Army and armed forces Tuesday inflicted heavy losses among terrorist members of different foreign backed mercenary-organizations in many areas of the country.
An army unit targeted in an accurate operation a den belonging to DAESH (ISIS) used for making car bombs, explosive devices and belts in al-Shaddadi city in the southern countryside of Hasaka.
One of the army’s continued operations against dens and gatherings of terrorist groups linked to Jabhat al-Nusra in the southern province of Daraa resulted in the death of all members of a terrorist group to the north of Zamreen village.
Meanwhile, the army destroyed and launch pad for American-made TOW rockets, killing all four terrorists handling it in Maarba village in the eastern countryside of Daraa.
Units of the army and armed forces killed 19 terrorists of DAESH (ISIS) and wound others in al-Reshdiyeh neighborhood and Shbat Street in the city of Deir Ezzor in eastern Syria.
This resulted in the death of 19 terrorists and the injury of 22. Ahmad al-Knadi, Tarek al-Alu, and Abboud al-Hussein terrorist leaders were identified among the deads.
Units of the army and armed forces targeted gatherings of terrorists in Busra al-Sham, its surrounding, Mara’aba and Jamrin in the countryside of Daraa province, killing more than 50 terrorists including self claimed leaders, and destroy 5 vehicles and an ammo cache, a military source reported.

A number of civilians were killed in terrorist rocket attacks that hit residential areas in Aleppo city on Monday.

Thousands of US troops and hundreds of tanks have poured into Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in the past two months as part of an operation dubbed “Atlantic Resolve.” In February, 140 NATO vehicles and 1400 troops swept through Narva, a mere 300 meters from the Russian border.
“As you connect countries, there is almost a line of US troops,” Defense News quoted Col. Michael Foster of the 173rd Airborne Brigade on March 2 as saying. US forces have previously held joint war games with Baltic nations, with names such as “Saber Strike,” “Spring Storm” and “Flaming Sword.”
Russia announced a massive surprise military drill earlier this week, putting forces all over the country on high alert and conducting exercises in the Baltic Sea, Black Sea, the Arctic and the Far East. The ongoing snap check of the military involves about 76,000 troops, over 10,000 vehicles, 65 warships, 16 support vessels, 15 submarines, 200 warplanes and helicopters.
