1 June 2015 ~ The Syrian Arab Army on Monday continued counter-terrorism operations against terrorists across the country, clashing with terrorists from ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra and eliminating scores of them.

Damascus countryside

An Army unit destroyed a terrorists’ den and killed a number of terrorists in Marj al-Sultan village in eastern Ghouta in Damascus Countryside, SANA reporter said.

Anas al-Assi, leader of a terrorist group, was among those killed.

In Harasta, the Army killed a number of terrorists, injured many others and destroyed their ammo and weaponry in the area surrounding al-Shukr mosque, also destroying a 200-meter-long tunnel that terrorists were using for movement and storing up weapons.

In the northern mountains of al-Qalamoun, Army units, in cooperation with the Lebanese resistance, continued their operations against terrorists’ hideouts and gatherings in the al-Misherfa and al-Jarajir towns, eliminating a number of terrorists in al-Zamrani crossing point in the mountains of Qara town.

Another Army unit launched intensive strikes against terrorist organizations’ hideouts in the eastern parts of al-Zabadani mountains, killing many terrorists, injuring many others and destroying their weapons and ammunition.

In the southwest countryside of Damascus, the Army killed a number of terrorists, injured many others and destroyed their dens with all ammo and weapons inside in Hasno village to the west of Sa’sa’ town.


Army units targeted dens of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in the vicinity of Sa’ad Bin Abi Waqqas Mosque in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood and to east of Electricity Company in Daraa al-Mahatta neighborhood in Daraa city , a military source told SANA Monday.

Another army unit directed intensive strikes at terrorist organizations’ movements near al-Bahar area in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood in Daraa city, cutting off supply lines used by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists to access Jordanian territories.

Scores of terrorists were killed, others were injured, and their weapons, ammo, and vehicles, some of which equipped with heavy machineguns, were destroyed in the operations in Daraa al-Balad.

Elsewhere in the province, An army unit carried out a special operation in the eastern neighborhood of Busra al-Sham city, 40 km east of Daraa city, destroying hideouts for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization. A number of terrorists were killed and others injured in the operation.

Deir Ezzor 

The army’s air force destroyed dens of ISIS terrorists in old Airport, Husseiniya, Ghassan Aboud roundabout, Sheikh Yassin, Sinaa and al-Hweika in Deir Ezzor, killed many terrorists, the majority of them of foreign nationalities.

Abu Yaman al-Saudi was identified among the dead terrorists.

Earlier, the army’s air force destroyed gatherings of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists near Sarakeb, al-Bara and Kfar Mid in Idleb countryside, killing scores of them.


Army units and popular defense groups clashed with large numbers of ISIS terrorists who infiltrated an asphalt plant 12km southeast of Hasaka city, inflicting heavy losses upon them, a local source told SANA’s correspondent.

The source said that the army and defense groups directed concentrated strikes at ISIS gatherings in the surroundings of al-Dawudiye village in Hasaka province, leaving many terrorists dead or injured and destroying their equipment and vehicles.


The army’s air force destroyed dens for terrorists and killed many of them to the south of Wadi Abyad dam, Maran, al-Sawana and al-Zaafara in Homs countryside.


31 May 2015 ~ Units of the Syrian army and Syrian armed forces on Sunday killed and wounded more terrorists of the Takfiri terrorist organizations in many areas across the country, destroying their weaponry.


A hideout where leaders of terrorist groups were holding a meeting was destroyed in southern Sad Daraa area in Daraa province, southern Syria, according to a military source.

All those who were inside the hideout were killed or wounded, the source confirmed.

Other army operations, which targeted terrorists’ positions in al-Kark neighborhood and near Abu Huraira Mosque in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood in the city, resulted in killing a number of terrorists.

An army unit also targeted groups of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists, killing dozens of them, in al-Nueimeh town in the eastern countryside of the province.

Dens for terrorists of the so-called “Aknaf Bait al- Maqdes” and “Ahrar al-Sham Movement” in the villages of al-Nueimeh and al-Hrak in the  countryside were destroyed.

Terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and the so-called “Al-Muthanna Islamic Movement” were killed and their arms and equipment were destroyed as army units targeted their positions in the towns of Ataman and Mahajja.

An army unit targeted Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists to the east of Tal Qarin (hill), located in the axis linking the western countryside of Damascus with Quneitra and Daraa provinces, leaving a den for the terrorists destroyed with those inside dead.

Army units destroyed several arms and ammunition depots and a number of vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns belonging to terrorists on the axis of Khirbet-al-Shahm-al-Yadoudeh- Mzirib to the north-west of Daraa, a military source told SANA.

Meanwhile, another army unit targeted a terrorist group on Busra al-Sham-Bard road, leaving its members dead or wounded and destroying a number of vehicles which they were driving.


An army unit killed terrorists of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in an operation that targeted their positions in Rajm al-Dawleh village in the southern Sweida province.

The operation left many of the terrorists killed or wounded, in addition to destroying a number of their vehicles equipped with machine guns and their weapons and ammunition.


Meanwhile, in Quneitra province, an army unit killed dozens of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in a special operation against their groups in al-Samadaniyeh al-Gharbiyeh village in the northeastern countryside of the province.

Other terrorists were killed in an area between the villages of Naba’ al-Sakhr and Mas’hara in the southeastern and eastern countryside.


The Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force launched strikes against Jabhit al-Nusra dens in Msibein, the area surrounding Aryha, Halouz, and Qmainas in Idleb countryside, killing dozens of terrorists, injuring many others, and destroying their vehicles.

A military source said the Air Force also destroyed mortar launchers and a number of terrorists’ vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns in Kafr Lata, Ma’arblit, al-Mastoma, Nahlia, and Ayn al-Sawda.

Air strikes also targeted terrorist hideouts in al-Bashiriye, Qara’a al-Ghazal, south of al-Majas, and Abu al-Duhour waterway in the province’s southeastern countryside, leaving a number of terrorists dead.

The Air Force destroyed a convoy of vehicles used by Jabhet al-Nusra terrorists between Nahlia and Kafr Najd and eliminated many terrorists in air strikes targeting their hideouts in Maataran, al-Fanar, and the surroundings of Saraqeb.

The army air force launched concentrated strikes against terrorists’ dens in al-Basheeriya, Qareh al-Ghazal, al-Majas and Abu al-Duhour canal in Idleb countryside.

Deir Ezzor

A military source told SANA that the Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force destroyed ISIS hideouts in al-Jafra and Hatla in Deir Ezzor countryside, killing many terrorists.

Army units eliminated many ISIS terrorists east of Deir Ezzor Military Airport and in Hwaijet Saqr, destroying a 23mm artillery gun near the Euphrates Center in the province’s countryside.


A military source said that army units eliminated many terrorists and destroyed their vehicles in the surroundings of the Air Force Academy, al-Zahra’a, al-Salhin, Salaheddin, Mare’a, Hanano, al-Fardous, Bab al-Nassr, al-Sha’ar, al-Bab, al-Ma’adi, and al-Sheikh Lutfi in Aleppo and its countryside.
