Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS terrorists killed in continuous army operations
5 June 2015 ~ The army continued on Friday operations and airstrikes against terrorists’ positions in areas across the country, establishing control over a strategic hill in Qalamoun mountainous region and killing large numbers of ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists during military operations elsewhere.
Army units, in cooperation with the Lebanese resistance, achieved a new progress in the war against terrorist organizations in Qalamoun mountains, establishing full control over Tallit al-Thalaja, a strategic hill in Falita town in Qalamoun northern mountains.
Field sources told SANA that the new military win has crowned a series of operations in the area. Dozens of terrorists were killed, others were injured and all their dens and gatherings were totally destroyed in the operations.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese resistance has restored full control over Shaabit al-Qalaa mountain in Ersal barrens and a part of al-Zimrani crossing point in Qara town.
Also in Damascus Countryside, the Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force carried out a series of airstrikes targeting terrorists’ concentrations, resulting in destroying two artillery emplacements and several dens and killing many terrorists in the areas of Zamalka, Misraba and Jobar, a military source said.
The source added that the Air Force also destroyed terrorists’ dens and two weapons and ammo caches, killing many terrorists in the villages of Beit Teima and Beit Saber in the southwestern countryside, in addition to destroying terrorists’ dens, concentrations, and a stockpile of ammo and rockets in Zebdin and Ein Tarma along with large numbers of terrorists.
SANA’s field correspondent said that an army unit destroyed a rocket launching platform and killed a large number of terrorists in a series of concentrated strikes targeting their hideouts in the eastern mountains and al-Jamiyat neighborhood in al-Zabadani city.
Among the terrorists killed in al-Zabadani were Bassam Damiriye, Ahmad Qassem, Ammar al-Khatib, Sarab Hamdan, and Seifeddin al-Ashrafani.
Army operations also resulted in destroying a gathering of terrorists near al-Jarra roundabout in Douma city, in addition to killing and injuring a number of terrorists in Aaliya farms in the northern outskirts of Douma and destroying mortar launchers in the farms in Harasta area.
The Army targeted with intensive strikes a convoy of vehicles on the road of al-Gharia al-Sharkia-Al-Soura, destroying the convoy and killing all terrorists aboard in Daraa countryside.
Another convoy of vehicles belonging to Jabhat al-Nusra was destroyed on Nahita al-Mliha al-Sharqia road. Large numbers of terrorists were killed.
Army units targeted terrorist organizations’ dens and gatherings in al-Mseifra town and al-Karak al-Sharqi to the northeast of Daraa, killing and injuring many terrorists.
An Army unit carried out an operation against terrorists’ dens in Kahil town, inflicting heavy losses in their ranks.
Another Army unit killed members of a terrorist group and injured others, destroying their weapons and ammunition on Dael-Khirbet Ghazala road and Nahita town.
In Daraa al-Balad, an Army unit launched an intensive strike against a hideout of Jabhat al-Nusra in the area surrounding Bilal al-Habashi Mosque, killing many terrorists and injuring many others.
The Army air force launched strikes against ISIS gatherings in several areas in the southern countryside of Hasaka.
A number of vehicles and dens were destroyed, dozens of terrorists were killed and many others were injured during the strikes.
An Army unit, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, clashed with ISIS terrorists in Jisr Abiad area in the southeast countryside of al-Hasaka, SANA reporter said.
Many terrorists were killed and others injured in the clashes.
In the central province of Homs, Army units eliminated a number of ISIS terrorists in Salam Gharbi and al-Sultania villages to the east of Homs city.
In the eastern countryside of Homs, the Army destroyed terrorists’ vehicles loaded with weapons and ammunition.
Another Army unit destroyed a gathering of terrorists in Taldo in al-Houleh area 20km northwest of Homs city.
Army units killed all members of a terrorist group in Mas’hara village in the countryside of the southern province of Quneitra.
Army units targeted terrorists’ positions in the neighborhoods of Bani Zaid, Salah-Eddin and Qadi Askar in the city of Aleppo.
The Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force destroyed concentrations of terrorists in Oram al-Joz, al-Rami, and Kafr Haya in Idleb countryside, a military source said.
The source added that the Air Force also destroyed a convoy of terrorists’ vehicles between al-Mattaleh and Inata, killing a large number of Jabhet al-Nusra terrorists, in addition to targeting concentrations of Jabhet al-Nusra terrorists in Mu’taram, north of al-Qiyasat checkpoint, and Oram al-Joz quarry with precision strikes, killing and injuring many terrorists and destroying three vehicles equipped with machineguns and two mortar launchers emplacements.
Army units also repelled an attempt by Jabhet al-Nusra terrorists to infiltrate Sanqara village, eliminating scores of terrorists in the surroundings of Hersh Bsanqoul.
A Special Forces unit from the Syrian Arab Army set an ambush for a terrorist group in the surroundings of Sanqara village, killing 8 terrorists and destroying a vehicle equipped with a heavy machinegun, while another Special Forces unit eliminated a number of terrorists and destroys their weapons and equipment in the surroundings of Shalaya village.
Army establishes full control over northwestern countryside of Hama killing Daesh-IS and Jabhat al-Nusra mercenaries, more reports from other areas
4 June 2015 ~ Army and armed forces on Thursday established full control over towns in Idleb, killed terrorists in others and destroyed their hideouts and dens in others.
The army and armed forces established full control over a number of strategic points and hills in the far northwestern countryside of Hama province, a military source told SANA.
Army units carried out series of special operations resulted in destroying the last gatherings of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in the hills of Gazal, Aawar and towns of al-Zeyadeyeh and al-Sararef and establishing full control over them.
At least 40 Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed and scores were injured during the army’s accurate and fast operations.
The army inflicted heavy losses upon the terrorists’ ammunition and destroyed a number of mortar launchers and vehicles equipped with machineguns.
Later, an army unit hit in a strike a terrorists’ position in the hills of al-Sermaniyeh in the northwestern countryside of Hama, destroying a weapons depot for them.
The Army Air Force carried out strikes against dens and gatherings of ISIS terrorists in the southern countryside of Hasaka, northeastern Syria.
The air strikes resulted in killing many terrorists and destroying vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns in the area around the Juvenile Delinquency Institute and al-Dawoudiyeh village.
More ISIS hideouts were targeted in airstrikes in al-Meilbiyeh area, 15 km to the south of Hasaka city.
Units of army and the armed forces, in coordination with the people defense groups, targeted positions of Jabhat al-Nusra and its affiliates in al-Nouba Mountain, al-Eido village, Kensabba town, al-Durra, al-Khadraa, al-Oteira areas and near Bradoun dam in the northern countryside of Lattakia.
Large numbers of terrorists were killed and arms and ammunition depots and vehicles equipped with machine guns were destroyed in the operations.
The terrorist Hamdan Ismael and Mohammad Balsha, a terrorist group’s leader, were identified among the dead.
An army unit targeted ISIS gatherings and movements near Sellam Sharqi and al-Sultaniyeh villages in Jeb al-Jarrah area in the eastern countryside of Homs.
The operation resulted in killing a number of ISIS terrorists and destroying their vehicles, some of which were equipped with heavy machine guns.
The Army Air Force destroyed several Jabhat al-Nusra hideouts in Maaret al-Nouman, Jadraya and Hila in Idleb countryside, in addition to destroying an ammunition cache in Bsamis.
The air force also launched a series of airstrikes against Jabhat al-Nusra gatherings in Bazit, Shagwrit, Maaret al-Numan and al-Tibat in the province’s countryside, killing dozens of terrorists, injuring many others and destroying their vehicles, some of them equipped with heavy machineguns.
Army units targeted terrorists’ positions in Mare’, Tal Rifa’t, Tlalin, Ezaz, Bashkouy, Orum al-Kubra and the villages of Tal Qarah, Herdatnin and Deir Jamal in the northern countryside of Aleppo province.
The operations in those areas left a number of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and some of its affiliates killed and several vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns destroyed.
An army unit destroyed several terrorists’ hideouts, vehicles and supply routes extending into the Turkish border in Ritian town.
In the southwestern countryside of Aleppo, army units killed numbers of terrorists and destroyed their arms and ammunition in concentrated operations on their dens in al-Atareb town and Khan al-Asal.
Groups of terrorists were also targeted to the west of al-Nairab airport in the eastern countryside of the province.
Operations against ISIS terrorists operating in the vicinity of the Air Force Academy resulted in killing and inuring numbers of them and destroying arms and vehicles equipped with various types of machineguns.
A Jabhat al-Nusra position in old Aleppo in the city was targeted.
An army unit killed at least eight terrorists and destroyed two of the vehicles of the so-called “Jaish al-Yarmouk” in Saida town in the eastern countryside of southern Daraa province.
A number of terrorists were killed and others were injured and three of their vehicles were destroyed in army operations in al-Hrak town and on the road of al-Gharyiat-al-Soura in the northeastern countryside of the province.
Dozens of terrorists were also killed in a series of army concentrated operations against their dens in Busra al-Sham city in the eastern countryside of the province.
Meanwhile, another army unit killed a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and destroyed their arms and ammunition to the north of al-Qasr al-Saudi in al-Yadoda town, 5 km to the west of Daraa.
Another army unit killed at least 10 of terrorists, mostly of foreign nationalities, and destroyed four of their cars and two mortar cannons in the vicinity of al-Mutanabi School and al-Muhandisin building in the camp area in Daraa city.
In Daraa al-Balad neighborhood, units of the army and the armed forces carried out precise operations, killing a number of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra, and the so-called “Tawhid al-Janoub Brigade”, “Mujahidi Howran Brigades,” and “Madfa’ayet Sijil Brigade”. A convoy of the terrorists’ vehicles was also destroyed in the operations.
The Army Air Force carried out airstrikes on dens and gatherings of terrorists of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Housh Hamad and al-Mdawara villages in the northern countryside of Sweida, southern Syria.
The airstrikes left a number of ISIS terrorists killed and their vehicles that were equipped with heavy machine guns destroyed.
The army also targeted groups of ISIS terrorists in Rajm al-Dawla in the northeastern countryside of the province, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their vehicles.
A convoy of vehicles for Jabhat al-Nusra was hit in the area surrounding Soum al-Darajeh village in al-Lajat, with the strikes leaving a number of the vehicles destroyed.
Units of army and the armed forces destroyed arms and ammunition depots and vehicles for terrorist organizations in eastern Ghouta.
Warplanes carried out raids against terrorist organizations in Ain Tarma valley, killing a number of terrorists and destroying vehicles, arms and ammunition caches, a military source told SANA.
Many terrorists, including three leaders of the so-called al-Islam Brigade were killed in a series of operations against their dens in Marj al-Sultan village that also resulted in destroying a mortar and four vehicles.
In the southern parts of eastern Ghouta, a unit of army chased a terrorist armed group in the farms of al-Qasemyia, Dair Salman, al-Zamanyia, al-Baharyia and al-Belalyia villages in al-Nashabyia area and killed a number of terrorists.

Defense Minister visits a number of Military units in Homs countryside
SANA, Mazen Eyon, 3 June 2015 ~ Upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, Commander-in chief of the army and armed forces, Defense Minister Fahd Jasem al-Freij visited on Wednesday a number of army units in Homs eastern countryside, inspecting their situation and conditions of their tasks.
“Syria will defeat Takfiri terrorists by the heroism of our army soldiers who offer precious sacrifices to preserve the Homeland’s dignity and honor,” Major General Freij, also Deputy Commander-in chief of the army, told the army members during the visit.
He underlined that the Syrians are determined in their war against terrorism, saying “the armed forces will remain at a high moral spirit and combatant readiness to defeat terrorism and its supporters.”
Major General Freij appreciated the big efforts exerted by the army soldiers and officers who work, day and night, to pursue terrorists and eliminate them.
For their part, the army soldiers affirmed their readiness to confront all forms of terrorism and defeat it to restore security and stability to Syria.
