About the Idleb Massacre ~ Patriarch Gregorios III Laham: “Stop international war of genocide against Syria”

Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch of Antioch and All the East Gregorios III Laham called for stopping the “international war of genocide” against Syria.

He was speaking in a statement condemning a terrorist massacre that was committed against civilians in Qalb Lawze village in the countryside of Idleb province.

At least 30 residents of the village were killed at the hands of terrorists from “Jabhat al-Nusra” and “Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement” on Wednesday night. Five of those killed were members of one family.

The terrorists also looted and burned tens of houses.

The Patriarch expressed in his statement “deep sorrow” over the killing of “innocent people” in Idleb.

“We raise our voices loud and clear in the face of the criminal organizations and in the face of the Arab world and the European world,” said the Patriarch, referring to the involvement of some Arab and Western countries in supporting the terrorists in Syria and the silence of other countries on the crimes committed there.

He dismissed what is going on in “dear Syria” as “an international war of genocide,” calling on those sides to stop this war.

Al-Nusra terrorists perpetrate a new massacre in Idleb countryside

Terrorists of “Jabhat al-Nusra” and “Islamic Ahrar al-Sham Movement” organizations perpetrated Wednesday night a massacre against locals of Qalb Lawze village in Idleb Province countryside, killing at least 30 citizens.

Local sources told SANA that tens of terrorists of both Takfiri terrorist organizations, affiliated to Al-Saud and Erdogan regimes, attacked the village, killing 30 people including five members of one family, looting and burning tens of houses.

The victims included three religious men and two women, the sources added, pointing out that terrorists intended to kill some locals by slaughtering after closing ways to the village, which is located at Summaq Mountain, to prevent any aid from reaching the locals who managed to kill five terrorists.

Al-Nusra and other terrorist groups, affiliated to Erdogan regime, perpetrated many massacres against locals of Idleb province, the latest was when those terrorists perpetrated last month the worst massacre against the local of Ishtabraq village in the countryside of Jisr al-Shoghour where 200 civilians were killed most of them women and children.
