The Syrian Army advances in al-Zabadani, continues targeting terrorists’ positions in various areas
29/8/2015 ~ Units of the Syrian Arab Army and armed forces on Saturday continued to tighten the noose around the Takfiri terrorists across the country through launching wide-scale military operations against their dens and positions, killing scores of them and destroying their arms and ammunition.
Damascus Countryside
Army units, in cooperation with the Lebanese Resistance, resumed on Saturday operations against terrorist organizations in al-Zabadani city which is located around 54km northwest of Damascus city.
A military source told SANA that the operations resulted in establishing control over a number of areas in al-Hikma area in the eastern part of the city after eliminating hotspots of terrorists and destroying their weapons and munitions.
The source added that engineering units canvassing the buildings that were secured dismantled a number of explosive devices planted by terrorists.
The source also said that a large number of terrorists were also killed in the area of Barada valley, including two leaders of terrorist groups identified as Abdelilah Nazih al-Khous and Adel Nayef Halima.
Daraa
An army unit targeted a terrorist group driving three vehicles equipped with machine guns in the surroundings of al-Sheikh Hussein and Khleif hills near the border between the provinces of Sweida and Daraa.
A military source told SANA that one of the vehicles was damaged and a number of the group’s members were killed or injured, while the rest managed to flee.
Another army unit killed 10 terrorists and destroyed their weapons and ammunition as it targeted their positions in Bosra al-Sham city in the eastern countryside of Daraa province.
Meanwhile, a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed during army operations against their positions in separate areas in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood in the city of Daraa.
Sweida
The popular defense groups killed a number of terrorists in the villages of Radimat al-Liwa and Lahtha in the northern countryside of Sweida and seized their weapons and ammunition.
A source in Sweida Province told SANA Saturday that the popular defense groups clashed with terrorists in Koa Hadar area between the two villages as they were attempting to infiltrate from al-Lajat area towards al-Abdias.
The source added that the clashes resulted in the killing and injuring of a number of terrorist s, confiscating their weapons, including various kinds of weapons, rockets , mortar shells and RBJ, while the rest fled.
Homs
The Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force destroyed supply lines of ISIS in the town of al-Sokhneh in Homs province on the road between Homs and Deir Ezzor cities, a military source said.
The source added that the airstrikes resulted in destroying a number of vehicles, all of which were equipped with heavy machineguns and transporting weapons and military equipment.
Airstrikes also targeted ISIS concentrations and hideouts in the villages of Oum Twaini and al-Loj al-Westani in Job al-Jarrah area around 73km east of Homs city.
Meanwhile, army units killed a number of ISIS members and destroyed some of their vehicles in a series of operations targeting the terrorists’ concentration in Palmyra city.
Army units carried out concentrated strikes on ISIS gatherings in al-Qariatain city at the outskirts of al-Badiya desert, killing a number of terrorists and destroying a number of their vehicles, some of which were equipped with machineguns.
Other army operations targeted terrorists’ positions and machinegun-equipped vehicles in al-Masek valley and Abu Hawadid valley in al-Mukharram area in the province’s eastern countryside.
In the northern countryside, an army unit carried out concentrated strikes on hideouts of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra in Ayn Hussein village, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their weapons and munitions, while another unit destroyed a tunnel used by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Rastan city, killing at least 10 terrorists who were in the tunnel at the time.
Idleb
The army air force raided the terrorist organizations’ hideouts in the villages of Qarqour and north of Kaniset Nakhleh in Jisr al-Shughour in the countryside of Idleb province.
A military source told SANA Saturday that a number of terrorists were killed and their vehicles, equipped with machineguns and ammunition were destroyed during the army operations.
The source added that the terrorists of the so-called Jaish al-Fateh organization were inflicted heavy losses in personnel and equipment, while their machinegun-equipped vehicles were destroyed in the army air strikes against their hideouts and positions in Ariha city in the southern countryside of the province.
Meanwhile, a number of terrorists, mostly of Jabhat al-Nusra, were killed and injured in the army raids against their gatherings in the villages of al-Teraa and al-Shwaiha in Abu al-Duhour area in the southeastern countryside of the province.
The terrorist organizations admitted on their social media websites the killing of a number of their members, among them terrorist Radwan Hussein al-Ali.
Hama
The Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force targeted hideouts and movements of terrorists in the surroundings of Zaizoun, al-Enkawi, and al-Zaqqoum in Sahl al-Ghab area in the northwestern countryside of Hama province.
A military source told SANA that the airstrikes resulted in killing a number of terrorists, injuring others, and destroying vehicles along with the munitions they were transporting.
Later, many terrorists from “Al-Fateh Army” terrorist organization were left dead or injured following a series of airstrikes on their concentrations in al-Mansoura, Tal Wasset, al-Mhsaik, al-Tanmia, al-Ziyara, and al-Hamidiye in the far northwestern countryside near the administrative line with Idleb province.
Aleppo
Many Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed as the army targeted their gatherings and hideouts in Binyamin and Khan Touman villages in the southwestern countryside of Aleppo province.
Movements and hideouts of terrorists were also targeted in the surroundings of the Scientific Research Center’s building and in al-Mansoura village in the western countryside.
Army operations continued in the southern and southeastern countryside of Aleppo, with the army units targeting gatherings of terrorists in al-Wudeihi village and to the west of al-Nairab Airport.
An army unit destroyed terrorists’ supply routes across Turkey in Hreitan town in the northern countryside, leaving a number of them dead or wounded.
The army also destroyed hideouts and vehicles of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the vicinity of the Air Force Academy, located on the international road linking Aleppo with the northeastern Raqqa province.
In Aleppo city, army units targeted Jabhat al-Nusra positions in the neighborhoods of Bani Zaid, Karm al-Jabal and Tal al-Sheikh Saeed, killing many terrorists and destroyed a bulldozer they had been using for demolishing houses and digging tunnels .
Lattakia
The Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force eliminated many terrorists destroyed their vehicles, some of which were equipped with heavy machineguns, in the areas of Kinsaba, Shalaf Castle, al-Maroniat, Ruwaiset al-Qasab, Ruwaiset al-Qala’a, Salma, and Barnas in the north countryside of the coastal Lattakia province.
A field source told SANA that 6 terrorists at least were killed in clashes erupted between a unit of the army and terrorist groups in Rabe’a town in the northeastern countryside. Abdullah Omar, Mohanad Bikdash and Mohammad al-Jablawi were identified among the dead terrorists.
Quneitra
A military source told SANA that an army unit destroyed a rocket launcher and eliminated many terrorists northwest of al-Hamidiye hill in the countryside of Quneitra province.
The Syrian Army repels terrorist attack on airport in Idleb, kills hundreds of terrorists in other areas
28/8/2015 ~ Syrian Arab Army units repelled on Friday terrorists’ attacks in some areas and targeted others’ positions elsewhere in the country, inflicting upon them heavy casualties and material losses.
Idleb
The army units defending Abu al-Duhour Airport in the southeastern countryside of Idleb province, assisted by the Air Force, repelled an attempted attack by terrorist groups, most of them from Jabhat al-Nusra.
A military source said the Air Force carried out airstrikes on terrorists’ concentrations and vehicles in the surroundings of the airport, killing a large number of them and destroying their weapons and vehicles.
The Air Force also destroyed hideouts of terrorists from “Al-Fateh Army” terrorist organizations in the surroundings of Kheshir, al-Majas, and al-Bwayder in Abu al-Duhour Area, eliminating many terrorists in the process.
Airstrikes also resulted in destroying terrorists’ hideous in Oum Jireen and Tal Salmo in the province’s southeastern countryside, while airstrikes on terrorists’ cocnentraitons and hideouts around Abdeta village in Jabal al-Zawiye area, Jisr al-Shughour, al-Bashiriye village, and Ma’arata in the southwestern countryside left many terrorists dead and destroyed their weapons and military equipment.
Near the province’s administrative lines, the Air Force targeted concentrations and movements of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Hamidiye village, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their vehicles and equipment.
Aleppo
The army’s air force destroyed a large number of terrorists’ vehicles and other armored ones in the vicinity of the Air Force Academy in the eastern countryside of the northern Aleppo province.
Meanwhile, field sources told SANA that army units repelled a large attack by terrorists on the towns of Bashkoi and Handarat in the province’s countryside, killing and injuring many terrorists and destroying several of their vehicles, while other terrorists fled, leaving their weapons and munitions behind.
Hama
The army destroyed hideouts for terrorists from “Al Fateh Army” terrorist group and killed a number of their members in Khirbet al-Naqous and Tal Waset in al-Ghab plain area in the countryside of Hama province.
Meanwhile, the Air Force carried out a series of airstrikes on terrorists’ concentrations and hideouts in the villages of al-Mansoura, Qastoun, al-Mshaik, Qarqour, Zayzoun al-Jdideh, al-Ziyara, and Tal Zajram in the province’s northwestern countryside, killing many terrorists and destroying their vehicles and equipment.
Homs
An army unit carried out a concentrated operation targeting hideouts and concentrations of ISIS terrorists in al-Qaryatain city and its surroundings at the outskirts of al-Badiye desert in Homs province.
A military source said the operations resulted in eliminating a number of terrorists and destroying their vehicles, some of which were equipped with machineguns.
Army operations also targeted ISIS concentrations and movements in Palmyra city, the strategic “Palmyra triangle” area, and east of Jazal oil field, leaving a number of terrorists dead and destroying their vehicles, weapons, and equipment.
Another army unit targeted a convoy of vehicles used by ISIS in the area surrounding al-Zakara valley in Palmyra’s countryside, destroying a number of vehicles and killing and injuring a number of terrorists.
In Homs province’s northern countryside, army operations in al-Rastan al-Tahtani, al-Ghanto, and Kiseen resulted in eliminating a number of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and destroying their hideouts.
Daraa
The Air Force carried out airstrikes on concentrations of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in the town of Dael in Daraa province, a military source told SANA.
The source said more than 100 terrorists, most of them from Jabhat al-Nusra, were killed in the airstrike.
Meanwhile, an army unit targeted a terrorist group in a hill north of Zimrin village village, killing all of its members.
An army unit destroyed a bulldozer used by terrorists and killed a number of them north of al-Karak al-Sharqi town in the province’s eastern countryside, while another unit killed a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists, injured others, and destroyed a vehicle equipped with a machinegun in Daraa al-Balad.
Quneitra
Army units eliminated members of “Jabhat al-Nusra” in a strike against their gatherings north of al-Hamidia village to the west of Quneitra city.
Terrorists’ vehicles and ammunition were also destroyed during the strike.
An army unit inflicted heavy losses on terrorists of “Jabhat al-Nusra” during an operation against their dens in Ofania village in the northwest countryside of Quneitra.
Damascus Countryside
Field sources told SANA that an army unit set an ambush for terrorists moving between the towns of Zakiya and al-Tibeh in Damascus Countryside, destroying a vehicle and killing all the terrorists on board, and inflicting heavy losses on the terrorists who attempted to reach the ambush site to recover the bodies.
The Syrian Army establsihes control over a hill in Lattakia, kills 46 terrorists in Old Aleppo
27/8/2015 ~ Syrian Arab Army continued targeting terrorists’ hideouts and positions on Thursday, destroying their vehicles and equipment and leaving many of them dead or injured.
Lattakia:
Army establishes control over Rweiset Jouret al-Tanbour hill
Army units established control over Rweiset Jouret al-Tanbour hill in the northeastern countryside of the coastal Lattakia province after eliminating all of the terrorists’ hideouts there, a military source said on Thursday.
A number of the terrorists’ vehicles were destroyed in the course of the operation, in addition to amounts of weapons and ammunition.
This new gain is considered an important step towards taking control of the nearby Jib al-Ahmar village, that is a main stronghold for the terrorist organizations operating in the outskirts of al-Ghab plain in Hama province and the southern countryside of Jisr al-Shughour in Idleb province.
Early this week, the army started a military operation in those areas that is aimed at cutting off the terrorist organizations’ supply routes.
Army units killed a number of terrorists, injured others and destroyed their arms and munitions during concentrated operations against their dens and gatherings in Salma, al-Hamrat crossroad, Barzeh, Arafeet, Taumeh and Abu Reesheh to the north east of Lattakia countryside.
Meanwhile, the army’s air force targeted terrorists’ dens in Dweir al-Akrad village on the border between Lattakia and Idleb provinces, leaving a number of terrorists dead and several of their vehicles and weapons destroyed.
Homs:
ISIS terrorists killed in Palmyra countryside
The army destroyed an armored vehicle and two pickups equipped with machine-guns in Kisin, killing terrorists in Izz Eddin, al-Quneitrat and al-Mashjar al-Janoubi in Homs northern countryside.
earlier, the army’s air Force destroyed hideouts and vehicles equipped with machineguns of various calibers for ISIS terrorists in Wadi al- Mask in the countryside of Palmyra in Homs province.
The army’s air force targeted ISIS terrorists’ gatherings to the east of al-Shumra Mountains in Palmyra countryside, the source added.
Army units destroyed an armored vehicle and two vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns in Kisin and eliminated many terrorists in Ezzeddin, al-Kneitrat and al-Mashjar al-Janoubi in the northern countryside of Homs.
Hama:
Jaish al-Fateh’s hideouts and vehicles destroyed
The army air force raided the terrorist organizations hideouts and movements in the villages and towns of al-Sarmaniyeh, Qaston, Zayzoun al-Jadideh, al-Tanjarah, al-Kahera and at the surroundings of Zayzoun Station, in al-Ghab Plain in the central province of Hama.
The army strikes resulted in the demolishing of terrorists’ vehicles equipped with machineguns and the killing and injuring of member of the so-called Jaish al-Fateh.
A number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed in army airstrikes in the villages of al-Mansoura, al-Inkawi, Qleidin and Tal Zajram.
On Wednesday, terrorist organizations admitted the killing of the so called leader of “Sukour al-Ghab Gathering” nicknamed Jamil Raadoun.
Idleb
The army air force staged airstrikes against dens and positions of the so-called “Jaish al-Fatih” in the countryside of the northern province.
A military source told SANA that the army air force carried out strikes against positions of Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations in the villages and towns of al-Hamidyia, Khashir, Um Jarin, al-Majas, al-Tir’aa, Qari’a al-Ghazal and Abu al-Dohour in the eastern countryside of the province.
The source added that a number of terrorists were killed in the strikes and others were injured and a number of their vehicles were destroyed, some of which were equipped with heavy machineguns and loaded with arms and ammunition.
Meanwhile, Takfiri terrorist organizations admitted on their pages on the social networking websites that one of the self-claimed leaders of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization Mohammad Abdul-Mun’aim Razzouq was killed, in addition to many other terrorists.
The army also staged strikes against dens of terrorists in the villages and towns of Kansafra, Jidrayia, Mhambel, and al-Sahin in Ariha area in the southern countryside of the province, killing a number of terrorists and injuring others.
Meanwhile, heavy losses were inflicted upon terrorist organizations in the arms and personnel in airstrikes staged by the army air force against their hotbeds and positions in the village of Frieke, and the sugar factory in the countryside of Jisr al-Shughour.
A number of terrorists were killed in al-Kfeir in the countryside.
Aleppo:
46 terrorists killed in Old Aleppo
The army destroyed a tunnel with all terrorists inside in Suleiman al-Halabi region in Aleppo.
Earlier, an army unit killed at least 46 terrorists and destroyed an armored vehicle and a 23 mm caliber gun in a special operation against terrorists’ positions in al-Sayyed Ali area in Old Aleppo.
Numbers of terrorists of the so-called “al-Jabha al-Shamiyeh” and “Ahrar al-Sham Movement” were also killed and many weapons and ammunition were destroyed during army operations in the neighborhoods of al-Rashidin, Bab al-Hadid, al-Kastillo, al-Lairamoun, Bani Zaid, Bustan al-Basha and Bustan al-Qassr in Aleppo city.
In the northern countryside of Aleppo province, army units targeted movements and supply routes of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in the villages and towns of Tal Msibin, Bianoun, Hayan, Hreitan, Handrat Camp, Ritian and the area surrounding Bashkoui.
The operations left many terrorists dead and their vehicles, including those equipped with machine guns, destroyed.
On the southwestern outskirts of Aleppo city, an army unit killed a number of terrorists and injured others as it targeted their gatherings in Khan al-Assal village.
Meanwhile, in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, vehicles of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) were destroyed and many of its members were killed or injured in the area surrounding the Air Force Academy.
Daraa
An army unit killed terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra and destroyed their arms at the western neighborhood of Bosra al-Sham in the eastern countryside of Daraa Province.
Damascus countryside
The army destroyed a factory for manufacturing explosive devices and a rocket launcher of the armed terrorist organizations in Eatern al-Ghouta in Damascus countryside.
The army targeted dens of the so-called “Islam army” terrorist organization in Douma, destroying 4 vehicles near Ashefouniya to the East of Douma.
During the army’s operations, Libyan terrorist Abdul-Jabar al-Faitouri, Palestinians Khaled al-Haiya, Said al-Assadi and Malik Khawam were killed.
A unit of the army also destroyed two cars for terrorists and killed many of them, including Iraqi terrorist Muheiddin Sa’adoun Jbouri, Atef al-Tilawi and Bilal Hamada near Abu Baker mosque in Zamalka.
In Harasta, another army unit destroyed a cannon and killed terrorists Khaled al-Chami, Nudal al-Za’em and Mohammad Halbouni near Akil mosque.
