1 September 2015 ~ Units of the Syrian Arab Army and the Armed Forces on Monday continued targeting terrorist organizations across the country through launching wide-scale military operations against their dens and supply routes, killing scores of their members and destroying their arms and ammunition.

Al-Zabadani, Damascus Countryside
A military source said that Syrian army units, in cooperation with the Lebanese Resistance, established control over al-Jisr neighborhood in al-Zabadani city in Damascus Countryside after eliminating terrorists’ hotbeds in it.
The source said in a statement that army units in cooperation with the Lebanese Resistance established control over al-Jesr neighborhood, the main street in the western neighborhood and al-Shareef al-Idreesi school in al-Zabadani town after accurate operations against terrorist organizations.
Meanwhile, the army killed more than 14 terrorists of the so-called “Islam army” and “Fajr al-Umah”, one of them of Saudi nationality, in operations carried out against their gatherings in al-Ghouta to the east of Damascus.
Field sources said an army unit destroyed dens of terrorists in Harasta, killing several of them, including Ziad al-Roz, Imad Darwish, Nader Taha and Mohammad al-Dalaty.
In this regard, the terrorist organizations admitted, on websites, to the killing of what they nicknamed “the military leader of Islamic Union for Anjad al-Sham in al-Ghouta al-Sharkiya” Kasem Halaweh, Abu Walid in Harasta.
The sources added that three cars were destroyed, Saudi terrorist Sultan al-Rajihi was killed in addition to the killing of terrorists Samir al-Tahan, Mohammad Issa and Muneir al-Khin in Zibdeen to the south of al-ghouta.

Daraa
Army units targeted hideouts of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Karak al-Sharqi in the northeastern countryside of the southern Daraa province, a military source said on Monday.
A number of the terrorists’ vehicles were destroyed and others were damaged, the source told SANA, noting that some of those were equipped with heavy machineguns in the operations, which also left many terrorists dead or injured.
More terrorists were killed and one of their vehicles was damaged as a result of a special operation carried out by an army unit against their dens and positions to the north of Atman town in the northern countryside of the province.
In Daraa al-Balad neighborhood in the city of Daraa, an army unit destroyed terrorists’ positions in al-Bajabja quarter.
A bulldozer belonging to Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists was also destroyed to the south of the old Customs building in Daraa al-Balad.
Sweida
In the neighboring Sweida province, an army unit targeted gatherings of terrorists and their supply routes from the Jordanian side in the area to the east of Shaaf town on the outskirts of al-Badiya desert in the southern Sweida province.
A number of vehicles, some equipped with machineguns, were destroyed and others were damaged, while a number of terrorists were killed in the army’s operations.
Popular defense groups clashed with ISIS terrorists in the surroundings of Mua’ath hill and Shaqa town in the northwestern countryside of the province following the terrorists’ infilitration attempt from Tal Sa’ad towards Mua’ath hill and Shaqa town.
A military source said the clashes left a number of terrorists dead and others were injured, while the rest fled, leaving behind a Toyota HiLux pickup truck.
Aleppo
Army units targeted terrorists’ hideouts and concentrations near the air force academy in Aleppo’s eastern countryside, killing and injuring scores of terrorists and destroying their weaponry and munitions.
The army also targeted terrorists near the Scientific Research Facility and in Handarat, Kifr Hamra and Bushkatin.
In Aleppo city, the army killed and injured large numbers of terrorists in al-Rashidin, Bani Zaid, the old city and al-Sheikh Maksoud.
Idleb
The Army’s Air Force killed a number of terrorists and destroyed their vehicles, some of which were equipped with machineguns, in Muhambal, Kafr Nubbul, Saraqeb, Ta’um, al-Tura’a, and Oram al-Joz in the southern countryside of Idleb province.
A military source told SANA that the Air Force also carried out airstrikes on concentrations of terrorists, most of them from “Jaish al-Fateh” terrorist organization, in the areas of Kafr Ouaid, Basames, Hmaimat, and al- Zayadiyeh in the southwestern countryside of the province, inflicting heavy losses in personnel and equipment on them.
In the same context, the popular defense groups destroyed a vehicle belonging to terrorists from “Jaish al-Fateh” in al-Sawaghiyeh village on the border with al-Fouaa town, according to local sources.
The sources told SANA that the army, using air strikes, and the popular defense groups targeted terrorists who tried to infiltrate towards al-Fouaa town, killing a number of them, while the rest fled away.

Homs
An army unit targeted dens of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the farms of al-Slaybeh to the west of al-Qaryatain in the eastern countryside of the central Homs province.
Two vehicles were destroyed and a number of the terrorists were killed in the operations.
Another army unit inflicted heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists as it targeted their dens and gatherings in Rahoum village in eastern Homs.
In the northern countryside of the province, many terrorists were killed as the army targeted their positions in Kisin village in al-Rastan area.
The army killed many terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra, “Homs Legion” and “Al-Farouk Battalions” to the northwest of Um Sharshoh village in Talbisa area.
More terrorists operating under Jabhat al-Nusra were killed and others were injured in special operations against their hideouts and gatherings in Taldo and in the vicinity of Jisr al-Tiba in al-Houla area.
Lattakia
Army units clashed with terrorist groups following an attempt to infiltrate military checkpoints in Jabal al-Ghadr and al-Furuluq rest stop in Lattakia province, killing more than 25 terrorists and destroying their weapons and ammo, while other terrorists fled.
The army’s Air Force carried out a number of airstrikes against terrorists’ gatherings in Kansaba, Salma, al-Maroniat and al-Qassatl villages, killing dozens of terrorist, including 9 from Chechnya, injuring many others, and destroying their weapons.
Media sources in the northern countryside of Lattakia confirmed that 25 Chechnyan terrorists who were located in al-Yakobia village fled after suffering heavy losses during the past few days as a result of the army’s continuous operations in the area.
