Syrian armed forces start a large-scale assault against terrorists, Russian airstrikes continue
8 October 2015 ~ Chief of the General Staff of the Army and Armed Forces, Gen. Ali Abdullah Ayoub said following the Russian airstrikes against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and other terrorist organizations, which have reduced the combat capabilities of the terrorists, the Syrian armed forces have taken the reins of military operations and formed well-armed and equipped human forces, mainly the “4 th Corps Storming”.
In a statement on Thursday, Gen. Ayoub announced that the Syrian armed forces started today a large-scale assault aimed at uprooting the gatherings of terrorists and expelling them from the areas and towns which have been suffering of the woes and crimes of terrorism.
Russian Air Force started conducting airstrikes against ISIS targets in Syria on September 30.
Russian and Syrian air strikes target more ISIS positions, killing hundreds of terrorists in Aleppo
Hundreds of ISIS terrorists were killed in Russian airstrikes that targeted their positions in the countryside of Aleppo province, a military source confirmed on Thursday.
The source explained that the Russian Air Force, in cooperation with the Syrian Air Force, conducted a series of “precise” airstrikes on several ISIS targets in Andan, al-Atareb, Deir Hafer, al-Mansoura and al-Bab in Aleppo.
Hundreds of terrorists were confirmed dead, and tens of armored vehicles, two Grad rocket launchers and a huge ammunition depot were destroyed as a result of the airstrikes, the source added.
In the same context, 27 Jabhat al-Nusra targets in Lattakia province were destroyed in Russian and Syrian air strikes.
Aleppo
Coinciding with the air strikes, the army units continued operations in various areas in Aleppo, with the armed forces defending the Air Force Academy in the countryside destroying vehicles for ISIS terrorists equipped with machine guns in the Academy’s vicinity.
A number of ISIS terrorists were killed or injured, and several machine guns, an armored vehicle and a depot were destroyed during army operations last night in the villages of Huweijineh and al-Salehiyeh in the eastern countryside of the province.
Jabhat al-Nusra-linked terrorist organizations suffered heavy losses at the army units’ hands in the surroundings of the Scientific Research Center and in al-Mansoura village in the western countryside.
Scores of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed during army operations in the neighborhoods of Salah Eddin, al-Lairamoun, Bani Zaid, Karm al-Jabal, al-Zibdiyeh and al-Ashrafiyeh in the city of Aleppo.
In the town of al-Bab, 38 km northeast of Aleppo city, local sources confirmed to SANA that hundreds of ISIS terrorists have been fleeing the city under the army’s strikes.
Meanwhile, field sources told SANA that operations against terrorists over the last 24 hours resulted in the destruction of 11 armored vehicles and 35 cars transporting terrorists, weapons and ammunition in Deir Hafer, al-Atareb and al-Bab areas.
The sources added that a heavy machine gun for ISIS terrorists was destroyed in the surroundings of Kweiris Airport, in addition to the destruction of a homemade “Hell” cannon in Saif al-Dawleh neighborhood and a heavy machine gun in al-Ashrafiyeh neighborhood.
Homs
Army units killed ISIS terrorists and destroyed a vehicle equipped with a machinegun in operations carried out against their dens in the villages of Bir Hafar and al-Hadath in the eastern countryside of Homs central province.
Lattakia
20 terrorists killed while rigging a car bomb in Lattakia, includign a Saudi officer
SANA reporter in Lattakia province said 20 terrorists were killed as a car they were rigging with explosives exploded in Rabiaa area in the northern countryside of the province. A Saudi officer, who was an explosives expert, was identified among the dead.
Russian and Syrian airstrikes continue, more casualties and losses among terrorist organizations’ ranks
7 October 2015 ~ The army operations going on in various areas and provinces are resulting in more deaths within the terrorist organization’s ranks, with the army units striking hard on terrorists’ positions, destroying also their heavy armaments and equipment, as Russia ramped up the military campaign against ISIS positions in the country.
A military source confirmed that ISIS had suffered heavy losses in missile strikes launched by Russia’s naval fleet in the Caspian Sea against 11 of its positions in Syria.
The Russian navy fired a total of 26 Caliber missiles against 11 positions for ISIS in al-Raqqa, Aleppo and Idleb provinces.
According to the source, the raids resulted in the destruction of a workshop for making explosive devices, command centers, arms and ammunition depots, fuel storehouses and training centers.
The source said the Russian Air Force, in cooperation with the Syrian Air Force, conducted strikes against ISIS targets in Deir Hafer and al-Bab in the countryside of the northern Aleppo province, leaving many terrorists dead.
Aleppo
40 Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed and 65 others were injured as an army unit targeted one of their hideouts in al-Shaqif area on the northern outskirts of Aleppo city.
A rocket launcher and a cannon were destroyed in the operation.
In the meantime, the army’s air force destroyed 8 vehicles carrying terrorists, weapons and ammunition on Hareitan-al-Lairamoun road and 3 other vehicles at al-Castello-Youth Housing axis.
The source added that army units targeted terrorists’ positions in the neighborhoods of Salah-Eddin, Bani zaid, Bustan al-Basha, al-Rashidin4, al-Sheikh Khodr, Karm al-Trab in Aleppo city, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.
Another army unit carried out precise operations against Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in the surroundings of the scientific Research Center and al-Mansoura village in the northern countryside of the province, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their weapons, ammunition and vehicles equipped with machine guns.
Meanwhile, terrorist organizations’ vehicles and supply routes across Turkey were targeted in Andan and Hareitan towns and al-Naseriyeh village in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
In the eastern countryside, the army units targeted ISIS terrorists’ positions in the villages and towns of Kweiris Gharbi, Deir Hafer, Jib al-Safa, al-Sheikh Ahmad, Erbid, al-Jadideh, al-Jabboul, Tal Establ, Tal al-Naam, al-Tibeh and in the surroundings of the Air Force Academy.
Amounts of munitions and several vehicles equipped with machine guns were destroyed in the course of operations.
A number of terrorists were killed and injured and their weapons and ammunition were destroyed in an army operation against their hideouts in the village of al-Ameriyeh in the southern countryside.
Damascus Countryside
Army units killed terrorists of the so-called “Islam Army”, “Ajnad al-Sham Islamic Union” and “Al-Rahman Legion” in the farms and villages of Eastern Ghouta.
Field sources told SANA on Tuesday that an army unit destroyed three vehicles, one equipped with a heavy machine-gun, for Ajnad al-Sham Islamic Union” in Zibdin village, killing many of terrorists.
The Saudi terrorist Jazza al-Shommari and the terrorists Zuhair al-Durra, Mohammad Diqmaq, Aziz al-Dalati, Nidal Dabbas and Ahmad Obeido were identified among the dead.
The sources pointed out that three pickups were destroyed and the terrorists Jihad Shashit, Marwan Sokkariyeh, Nader Taha, Jamil al-Naasan, Fouad Kouka and Naeem al-Makari were killed during army operations against “Islam Army” positions in Saqba town.
Other terrorists from the same group were killed in operations in Erbin town, including the terrorist Abdul-Yassin Tab.
In Mesraba village to the south of Douma city, sources said that an army unit destroyed dens of “Al-Rahman Legion” terrorist organization, killing many of its members, including the Iraqi Moustafa Nouri al-Saadoun, Ghassan al-Mofti, Faissal al-Shaar, Ayman al-Rawasi and Abdul-Jalil Kharouf.
The sources confirmed the death of the terrorists Ayman Dibbane, Mostafa Zabadne, Ali al-Doumani, Asaad al-Semadi and Adib Mayyaseh from the so-called “Liwa Fajer al-Ummah” organization in a hit on one of their hideouts to the south of al-Hassan Mosque in Harasta.
On the western outskirts of Douma city, army units intensified strikes against dens of “Islam Army” terrorists, killing many of them including the terrorists Samer al-Gharbi, Ibrahim Jarada and Abdul-Razzaq al-Dali. Vehicles were also destroyed in the operations.
Sweida
An army unit destroyed 10 SUV vehicles transporting terrorists, weapons and ammunition in Khirbet al-Ambashi area in Badiya (desert) in Sweida province after they crossed in coming from the Jordanian borders, SANA reporter said.
Daraa
An army unit destroyed a mortar launcher, weapons and ammunition during operations against terrorists’ gatherings in Busra al-Sham city to the southeast of Daraa city.
The Army killed many terrorists and injured many others during accurate operations against their dens and gatherings southeast of Kaddah Building in Daraa al-Mahatta.
Army units also launched concentrated strikes against hideouts of Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations to the southeast of Syriatel Building in Daraa al-Balad, causing the destruction of a den for terrorists.
A number of terrorists were killed, others were injured and their weapons and ammo were destroyed during an army unit’s operations against their dens in al-Gharia al-Gharbia village and the area surrounding Kherbit Ghazala in the northeast countryside of Daraa.
Quneitra
Army units in cooperation with popular defense groups destroyed vehicles for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists, some of which were equipped with machine guns in the northern countryside of Quneitra.
Field sources told SANA correspondent that a unit of army destroyed 14.5 mm machine gun and killed a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists who had infiltrated to the area surrounding Harfa village and Mashati Hadar.
Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists targeted Harfa village with more than 20 rocket and mortar shells that caused material damage to civilians’ properties and houses.
A unit of army in cooperation with popular defense groups destroyed vehicle, some of them equipped with machine guns for terrorist organizations and left scores of terrorists dead or injured during concentrated operations against their gatherings in the surrounding of Khan Arnabeh town, Jubata al-Khashab , Tranjeh and Ofania.
Meanwhile, terrorist organizations acknowledged that nine of their members were killed in the northern countryside of Quneitra including the the military commander of Ahmad al-Omar Brigade and the leader of Saif al-Islam battalion.
Homs
The army’s air force destroyed vehicles for ISIS terrorists and killed a number of them in air strikes on their positions in the surroundings of al-Shaer oil field and in northern al-Qaryatain village in Homs province.
Units of the army also destroyed dens for ISIS terrorists and killed many of them in Um Sahrij and al-Msherfeh in Job al-Jarah in Homs eastern countryside.
Hasaka
Army units directed intensive strikes against gatherings and dens of ISIS terrorists in Hasaka countryside.
A source in the province told SANA correspondent that an army unit clashed with ISIS terrorists who attempted to attack a military post in Tal Mabt 17 kilometers to the east of Hasaka city.
A vehicle was damaged, three terrorists were killed, and three others were injured, while the rest fled away during the clashes.
Heavy losses were inflicted upon ISIS terrorists during strikes against their gatherings in Tal Baroud village to the south of Abdul-Aziz Mountain west of Hasaka city, according to the source.
More ISIS positions destroyed by Russian and Syrian airstrikes in Aleppo and Homs
6 October 2015 ~ The Russian Air Force and the Syrian Air Force conducted a series of precise air strikes against ISIS positions.
A military source said headquarters for ISIS leaders were destroyed in Deir Hafer and al-Bab in Aleppo province.
Air strikes also targeted ISIS hideouts in Palmyra city in Homs, destroying 20 armored vehicles, 3 ammunition depots and 3 rocket launching pads, according to the source.
In the same context, the Russian Defense Ministry said the Russian Air Force carried out 20 sorties targeting 12 ISIS positions in the provinces of Idleb, Deir Ezzor, Lattakia and Damascus Countryside.
The Ministry’s spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in a statement two Russian warplanes conducted a raid on an ISIS camp in Kafr Oweid village in Idleb.
Wireless communications in several foreign languages were intercepted at the camp, which shows that foreign ISIS fighters were being trained at the camp, according to Konashenkov.
He said buildings used by terrorists as storage centers for explosives and material-technical and food supplies were demolished in the bombing of the camp.
The Russian military official added that two ISIS command centers were destroyed near Deir Ezzor as they were hit by concrete-piercing bombs.
Guided-bombs also destroyed an ISIS munitions plant in Eastern Ghouta near Damascus, said Konashenkov.
In Lattakia countryside, an ISIS support post was hit by a Russian aircraft, where fortifications were completely destroyed and there were “numerous blazes caused by the detonation of ammunition and fuel supplies.”
Meanwhile, more terrorists are being killed and many of their weapons and equipment are being destroyed as the army units continued to target their positions in various areas.
Aleppo
At least 180 terrorists were killed and a training camp and a gathering of vehicles were destroyed in a series of air strikes carried out by the Syrian Air Force in Qubtan al-Jabal, Daret Ezza, al-Rashidin, Hreitan and Bashkoi in Aleppo countryside, according to a military source.
Earlier, the army units targeted ISIS terrorists’ hideouts and gatherings in Kafkif, Ain al-Hanash, Queires, al-Jaberiyeh, al-Jadideh, Erbid, Sharba’ and in the vicinity of the Air Force Academy, 40 km east of Aleppo city.
The operations resulted in destroying a number of vehicles, some of which equipped with heavy machineguns, while many terrorists were killed.
More terrorists were killed or injured others during army operations in Ein al-Jamajmeh, Deir Hafer, Maskana and al-Khafse in the eastern countryside of Aleppo province.
Army units also targeted terrorists’ movements and supply routes across the Turkish side in Qasr al-Breij and al-Bab city, 38 km northeast of Aleppo city.
Terrorists were also targeted in Rayan, Ein Sabel, Kabara, Tal Istabl, Hweijineh, al-Mfalseh, Jib al-Safa and al-Radwaniyeh in the surroundings of al-Sfeira in eastern Aleppo.
A number of the terrorists were killed and several of their vehicles, some equipped with machine guns were destroyed.
The army killed many terrorists and destroyed their arms and ammunition in al-Naanaie Square and the neighborhoods of al-Lairamoun, Bani Zaid and al-Shaar in Aleppo city.
In the western countryside of Aleppo province, an army unit killed many terrorists and injured others and destroyed their vehicles in the vicinity of Scientific Research Center.
Homs
The army’s air force destroyed two dens for ISIS terrorists in al-Qaryateen in Homs countryside.
Earlier, the army units fired at and destroyed dens and gatherings of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Ghajar village in Talbiseh and al-Rastan in the northern countryside of Homs province.
Another army unit targeted terrorists’ positions east of Kiseen village to the south of al-Rastan Lake, killing a number of them and destroying their arms and ammunition.
Lattakia
12 terrorists were killed and a car and a vehicle equipped with a heavy machine gun were destroyed in army air strikes in al-Farz, Salma, Ikko and Droushan in the northern countryside of the coastal Lattakia province.
Turkish, Saudi and Palestinian terrorists were among the dead.
Daraa
Army units targeted positions of terrorists and their supply routes across Jordan in Daraa al-Balad area and al-Mahtta neighborhood in the city of Daraa, southern Syria.
The operations left many terrorists dead or injured, most of them from Jabhat al-Nusra, in addition to destroying a pickup transporting terrorists.
Deir Ezzor
The army units defending Deir Ezzor military airport destroyed 3 cars carrying weapons and ammunition and machine guns and a cannon for ISIS terrorists in the vicinity of the airport, according to field sources.
The sources also told SANA that a number of ISIS terrorists were killed during an army operation against one of their dens in al-Jafra village.
The army units targeted ISIS terrorists’ positions in focused operations in al-Sinaa and al-Rasafeh neighborhoods in Deir Ezzor city, inflicting losses upon them in personnel and equipment.
In another context, ISIS terrorists kidnapped scores of civilians in al-Mayadin city to force them to donate blood for the terrorist organization’s injured members, according to local sources.
Russian and Syrian air forces tighten grip on terrorists in several areas
5 October 2015 ~ Units of the army and the armed forces, backed by the Syrian and Russian air forces, on Monday launched wide-scale military operations against the terrorist organizations across the country, killing scores of their members and destroying their equipment and vehicles.
Aleppo
The Syrian army air force carried out air strikes against the terrorist organization of Islamic State in Iraq and Syria “ISIS, killing many terrorists and destroying their vehicles in several areas in the eastern countryside of Aleppo province.
A military source told SANA that the raids caused the destruction of terrorists’ dens and vehicles, some of which equipped with machineguns in the villages of Ain al-Jamajima, Jeb al-Safa in Kweiris area, and in the towns of Deir-Hafer and Maskana.
The source pointed out that the army carried out strikes against terrorists’ gatherings in al-Bab city where many terrorists were killed and their weapons were destroyed.
The airstrikes resulted in the death of many terrorists and the destroying of their vehicles and weapons.
Army units killed a number of ISIS members, injured many others and destroyed their vehicles and weapons during accurate operations against their movements and gatherings in the area surrounding Air Force Academy.

In Aleppo city, army destroyed terrorists’ dens in al-Sheikh Said, al-Ramosa, al-Amria, al-N’anayi square, Bani Zaid, al-Liramon, Bustan al-Basha, Suliman al-Halabi, al-Kastilo and al-Shakir, killing many of them and destroying their weapons and ammo.
In turn, the Russian Defense Ministry said the Russian air force carried out 15 raids against 10 ISIS targets in Aleppo countryside, adding that ISIS training and command centers were destroyed in the process.
Idleb
The Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force targeted hotbeds and movements of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations in Jisr al-Shugour city in Idleb province.
A military source told SANA on Monday that the airstrikes resulted in killing a number of terrorists and destroying their vehicles with all arms and ammunition onboard,.
The Air Force also launched airstrikes on the terrorists’ dens and gatherings in al-Hbeit in Ma’aret al-Nu’man area at the southern countryside of the province, which resulted in destroying a number of dens and vehicles for “Jaish al-Fateh” terrorists.
Meanwhile, the terrorist organizations admitted on their social media sites to killing a number of their members including Abdelrazzaq Khanfoura, a leader from Jaish al-Fateh terrorist organization nicknamed Abu Azzam.
In the same context, a military source told SANA that the Russian Air Force, in cooperation with the Syrian Air Force, destroyed in airstrikes a terrorists’ artillery base, ammunition depot and 30 vehicles including armored ones in al-Ghabat area.
The source added that a training camp, a launching pad for Grad rockets and a store of ammunition were also destroyed in the airstrikes on Jisr al-Shughour.
Hama
In the eastern countryside of Hama province, a number of terrorists were killed and injured and their machinegun-equipped vehicles were destroyed in airstrikes by the Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force on their hideouts and gatherings in Khatmalo village.
The Air Force also targeted terrorists’ hideouts in the towns of al-Latamneh and Kafr Zita, destroying a number of vehicles along with the terrorists, weapons, and munitions on board. Field sources said airstrikes resulted in killing 5 terrorists who were holed up in a hideout in al-Latamneh and in destroying two 4WD vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns in Atshan village.
Homs
A military source told SANA that Russian air force, in cooperation with the Syrian air force, conducted a series of precise air strikes against a number of ISIS terrorist targets resulting in the destruction of a weapon’s warehouse and a communication center in Talbiseh, al-Saan al-Aswad and al-Ghajar in the northern countryside of Homs province.
Meanwhile, concerned authorities seized two cars loaded with 700 kg of explosives in Sadad area in the countryside of the central Homs province while they were coming from al-Qaryatain city and arrested those who were onboard.
The Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force destroyed ISIS’ weaponry caches, killed many of its members and injured many others during airstrikes in the area surrounding al-Shaer gas field in Homs.
Numbers of ISIS members were killed, others were injured and their vehicles were destroyed during Army’s raids against their gatherings in al-Qaryatain city to the east of Homs city.
An army unit carried out special operations in al-Hadath village in the eastern countryside of Homs, killing many terrorists, injuring many others and destroying their equipment.
In the countryside of Tadmour city (Palmyra), an army unit foiled ISIS’ attempts to attack military checkpoints to the northeast of al-Makalaa area.
Many terrorists were killed or injured in the attack while others fled in addition to destroying amounts of weapons and ammunition.
In the northern countryside of Homs, many terrorists were killed, others were injured and a number of their vehicles were destroyed during a series of airstrikes against their gatherings in Deir Fol in Talbeisa area.
The competent authorities dismantled on Monday two cars loaded with about 700 kg of explosives in Sadad area in the southeast countryside of Homs.
A source in Homs province told SANA reporter that the authorities seized a Kia Cerato and a Hyundai on Sadad – Mahin Road in the southeast countryside of Homs which were loaded with around 700 kg of C4 and TNT and arrested those who were inside the two cars.
According to the source, the engineering units neutralized the explosives in the cars which were equipped with electric wires and signal receivers to be detonated remotely.
The Army’s Air Force killed a number of terrorists to the east of Palmyra and in al-Qariyatain, Talbeeseh and al-Ghajar in Homs countryside.
Deir-Ezzor
The Syrian army air force carried out a series of operations against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorists organization’s gatherings and hideouts and their
movement axes in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor province.
The operations in the villages of al- Mraeyeh, al-Jafrah and Hatlah resulted in the killing of a number of ISIS terrorists and the destruction of their machineguns-equipped vehicles, weapons and ammunition.
Field sources told SANA that an army unit destroyed a booby-trapped vehicle for ISIS terrorists before arriving one of the military posts in al-Howaiqa neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city.
Meanwhile, terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media websites the killing of a so -called security official of ISIS terrorists Omar Turki al-Salem al-Hamdan, of Saudi nationality, nickenamed Joban and Lybian terrorists nickenamed
Abu al-Dahdah al-Libi.
Lattakia
The Russian Air Force, in cooperation with the Syrian Army Airforce, destroyed a command headquarters belonging to the terrorists in airstrikes on Beit Manifa in the countryside of the coastal Lattakia province, a military source told SANA.
The Russian Air Force, in cooperation with the Syrian Air Force, conducted airstrikes against dens of the terrorist organizations in the villages of al-Durra and al-Rihanyia in the northern countryside of Lattakia province, destroying a number of terrorists’ cars and vehicles and killing all terrorists onboard.
Damascus Countryside
Army units targeted terrorists’ hideouts and concentrations in a number of areas on the western side of Douma in the eastern al-Ghouta, killing scores of terrorists and destroying their weapons and ammunition.
Daraa
A unit of the army clashed with an armed terrorist group in the surrounding of Bilal mosque in Daraa al-Balad. The clashes ended up with the killing of all members of the terrorist group while their weapons were completely destroyed.
The army’s operations targeted dens of terrorists to the north of old Customs, in the surrounding of Technical Institute and in al-Bajajeh in Daraa al-Balad, killing a number of terrorists.
Meanwhile, another army unit destroyed dens of Takfiri terrorists and killed several terrorists in al-Ghariyeh al-Ghrabeyeh, 17 KM to the Jordanian borders.
Quneitra
Army units destroyed a 23 mm machinegun and another 14.5 machinegun in Taranja village in Quneitra countryside and killed and injured a number of Jabhet al-Nusra terrorists in the process.
An army unit in cooperation with the popular defense groups thwarted terrorists attack on Hafer village and killed and injured scores of the assailants and destroyed a number of their vehicles.
More terrorists’ positions destroyed by Syrian and Russian airstrikes
3 October 2015 ~ The Russian Air Force, in cooperation with the Syrian Air Force, launched on Saturday more air strikes against positions of the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq (ISIS) terrorist organization, according to a military source.
The source described the air strikes as being “pinpoint” and highly accurate, directly hitting targets and leading to their destruction.
A fortified command center was destroyed in al-Latamneh in the countryside of Hama province, according to the source.
Air strikes in Idleb province destroyed weapons and equipment depots, a vehicle-rigging center, heavy machine guns and a mortar in Jisr al-Shughour and a training camp and weapons and ammunition depots in Maaret al-Nouman.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry’s spokesman Igor Konashenkov announced in a press conference that the Russian aircrafts carried out over the past 24 hours 20 sorties attacking 9 ISIS positions in Syria.
“Accurate delivery of a concrete-piercing bomb BETAB-500 launched from a Su-34 aircraft near Raqqa destroyed a hardened command center of one of the illegal armed groups as well as an underground bunker with explosives and ammunition depot,” he said.
“Su-34 tactical bomber engaged an ISIL [ISIS] base near Maaret al-Nouman with a guided air bomb KAB-500 during a pinpoint strike. According to the objective monitoring data, terrorist fortifications, ammunition and POL depots as well as 7 vehicles were destroyed,” added Konashenkov.
He went on saying that “tactical bombers Su-24M eliminated storage bases for military hardware used by militants for preparation of terrorist attacks” in Jisr al-Shughour district in Idleb.
“Moreover, an airstrike was made against a base of militants at the same district. It completely destroyed depots with ammunition and equipment situated at the base,” he added.
Aleppo
The army targeted dens and cells of ISIS terrorists to the east of Assafira, Jub al-Safa, Jaboul, al-Ridwaniyah, Ayn Sabeil, Tadef, and al-Bab in the countryside of Aleppo, a military source said.
The army’s operations ended up with the killing of a number of ISIS terrorists and destroying their vehicles which were equipped with heavy machineguns, and at the same time the army forces defending the Air Force Academy in the province inflicted heavy losses on terrorists in the surroundings of the Academy which is located on the highway leading to Raqqa city.
The source said another army unit eliminated a number of terrorists, most of them from Jabhat al-Nusra, and destroyed their vehicles and supply lines from the Turkish borders in the city of Hreitan in the province’s northern countryside.
In Aleppo city, army units carried out precise operations resulting in the death of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations in the neighborhoods of al-Rashidin 4, al-Lairamoun, Bani Zeid, Bustan al-Qasr, al-Ramousa, and al-Halk.
Later, a military source told SANA that the army’s Air Force eliminated large numbers of terrorists and destroyed some of their vehicles in Tadef, Rasm al-Imam, south of Mare’a, and on the road between al-Castello and al-Lairamoun in Aleppo and its countryside, in addition to destroying three of convoys of terrorists’ vehicles along with the weapons and ammo they were transporting.
Meanwhile, field sources told SANA that an army unit carried out a special operation against terrorists in al-Hatab square of al-Jadidah region in Old Aleppo on Friday night, destroying 3 fortified sites they were hiding in and leaving all the terrorists that were inside them dead or injured.
Deir Ezzor
More than 160 of ISIS terrorists were killed in operations carried out by units of the army and the armed forces in Deir Ezzor province.
Field sources told SANA that units of the army clashed with the ISIS terrorists on the outskirts of the neighborhoods of al-Rasafa, al-Rashidyia, al-Ommal and al-Sina’a in Deir Ezzor City, inflicting heavy losses upon them in the vehicles and personnel.
The sources added that the ISIS extremist organization detonated three car bombs in the eastern part of Deir Ezzor city in the neighborhoods of al-Sina’a and al-Rasafa.
The sources affirmed that more than 150 of the ISIS terrorists were killed in the army operations in Deir Ezzor and its countryside and a number of their vehicles were destroyed with all the ammunition and machineguns onboard.
Another army unit clashed with terrorists who attacked a military site in Deir Ezzor city, killing 13 of the attacking terrorists including an Algerian identified as Abdulaziz al-Jazaeri.
Sweida
The army air force carried out airstrikes against a convoy of vehicles belonging to Takfiri terrorist organizations in the village of Ghadir Abu Sharshouh on the eastern outskirts of the Badiya “desert” in the southern Sweida province.
A number of vehicles were destroyed in the airstrikes while they were moving from the village of Ghadir Abu Sharshouh towards the Eastern Ghota in Damascus Countryside, and a number of terrorists were killed and others were injured.
Daraa
Units of the army and the armed forces carried out concentrated strikes against positions and dens of the Takfiri terrorist organizations in the southern Daraa province.
Scores of terrorists were killed and their arms and ammunition were destroyed in special operations carried by an army unit against their dens in Enkhil town.
An army unit also destroyed one of the terrorists’ vehicles to the west of Namer town, 22 km to the northeast of Daraa City after monitoring the movements of the terrorists there, as all terrorists onboard were either killed or injured.
Later, a military source said that an army unit targeted terrorists’ hideouts and hotbeds in al-Nazihin Camp and al-Abbasiye neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad area in Daraa city, killing many terrorists and injuring others.
Meanwhile, the Takfiri terrorist organizations acknowledged on their pages on the social networking websites that a number of their members were killed including terrorist Luqman Jamal al-Badawi, terrorist Mohammad Ma’amoun Issa al-Nasser, and terrorist Ahmed Mohammad al-Nayef.
Homs
Army units targeted gatherings and movements of ISIS terrorists to the northeast of Wadi al-Zakara in the surroundings of Tadmur (Palmyra) city in Homs province, a military source told SANA.
A number of ISIS terrorists were killed and a mortar and amounts of weapons and ammunition were destroyed as a result of the operations, in addition to destroying a mortar launcher along with the crew using it.
The source also said that the army eliminated a number of terrorists from ISIS and destroyed a number of their hotbeds and fortifications in al-Qaryatain village 85km east of Homs city.
In the northern countryside of the province, army units targeted terrorists’ hideouts near the bridge of al-Tibeh village and in Taldao in al-Houleh and al-Rastan al-Tahtani, leaving many terrorists dead or injured.
Another army unit tarheted terrorists’ hideouts in Kafrlaha village in al-Houleh area and in al-Sa’an al-Aswad in Talbiseh area, destroying the hideouts along with the weapons and munitions inside them and leaving many terrorists dead or injured.
Damascus Countryside
Army units carried out operations in the farms of Deir al-Asafir village in the south of Eastern Ghouta area in Damascus Countryside, sources on the ground told SANA’s correspondent.
The sources said that the operations resulted in destroying two vehicles, one of which was equipped with a heavy machinegun, which had been used by terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra.
They also resulted in killing a number of terrorists including al-Habib al-Maryudi from Libya, Abdullah al-Wakaira from Jordan, Younes Mukhaiber who was the leader of a terrorist group, Rateb Taameh, Yassin al-Tubji, Ahmad al-Saour, Ala’a Maraashli, Hassan Ajina, Khalil Falioun, Nizar al-Bunni, and Mohammad Abu Ras.
Another army unit eliminated terrorists including Imad Badra and Saeed Sheikh al-Qasir and destroyed the weapons and munitions they were carrying in the villages of Deir Salman and al-Qasimiye in al-Nashabiye area.
At the southern outskirts of Zamalka town, field sources confirmed that terrorists Hussein al-Kayayde from Jordan, Fouad al-Shebli, and Ezzeddin Inaya, Abdelfattah al-Khen, Nizar Da’as, and Saeed al-Shawish, all of whom were from Jaish al-Islam terrorist organization, were killed, and that a pickup truck was also destroyed along with the weapons and munitions it was transporting.
Army operations also resulted in destroying a hotbed of terrorists from Jaish al-Islam near al-Hal marketplace in Douma city. Mohammad Adas, Kassem Qashoua’, Nasser al-Hamik, Ibrahim Anjela, Saeed Wawiye, and Zuhair Khebiye were identified among the terrorists killed in these operations.
Army inflicts more losses upon terrorists in arms and personnel
1 October 2015 ~ Units of the army and the armed forces on Thursday launched military operations against the Takfiri terrorist organizations, killing scores of their members and destroying their equipment and vehicles.
Quneitra
Units of the army and armed forces, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, last night and on Thursday morning destroyed dens and vehicles of Jabhat al-Nusra and other Takfiri organizations in the northern countryside of the southern Quneitra province.
A military source told SANA that a number of terrorists were killed and others were injured and one of their ammunition stores was destroyed in the continued army operations against dens and positions of Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations in the villages of Jibbata al-Khashab and Tranjeh.
Meanwhile, field sources told SANA that an army unit destroyed three heavy machinegun-equipped vehicles belonging to Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and killed all terrorists onboard in an operation carried out to the east of Tranjeh village after monitoring the terrorists movements.
The terrorist organizations, for their part, acknowledged on their pages on the social networking websites that a number of their members had been killed including terrorist Shadi Yousef Sharaf.
Sweida
A number of the ISIS terrorists were killed and others were injured in army operations in the villages of al-Qasr and Rajm al-Dawleh in the southern Sweida province on the outskirts of the Syrian Badiya “desert”.
Vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns and a mortar launcher were destroyed there.
A military source said in a statement to SANA that an army unit carried out on Thursday afternoon concentrated strikes against dens of ISIS terrorists in Tal and Khurbet Sa’ad in Sweidaa countryside during which a number of terrorists were killed and others were injured.
Aleppo
Army units carried out operations against terrorists’ hideouts in the surroundings of al-Nairab airport and in the villages of al-Ridwaniyeh, Arbid, al-Jabboul, Ain al-Jamajmeh, Tal Istabl, Tal al-Naam, and Tal al-Hattabat in the eastern countryside of Aleppo province.
The operations in those areas left a number of terrorists dead or injured, most of them from Jabhat al-Nusra, and several of their vehicles destroyed, some of which were equipped with heavy machineguns.
Meanwhile, the army units defending the Air Force Academy fired intensively on the positions of ISIS terrorists in the surroundings of the Academy, killing a number of them.
Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were targeted in the surroundings of Journalists Association in the neighborhood of Khan al-Asal and al-Mansoura village on the western and southwestern outskirts of Aleppo City. Many of those were killed and their arms, ammunition and machinegun-equipped vehicles were destroyed.
In Aleppo City, army units destroyed positions of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and other organizations, in addition to destroying a number of their vehicles and mortar launchers, in the neighborhoods of al-Shaar, Karm al-Jabal, al-Sakhour, Old Aleppo, al-Rashidin 4, Bani Zaid, Hananou, Karm al-Tarrab, Qadi Askar and al-Naanaie Square.
Field sources told SANA reporter that more than 20 terrorists were killed in al-Marjeh neighborhood and in al-Sheikh Lutfi village in the southeastern parts of Aleppo City.
Daraa
Army units targeted gatherings of terrorists in Samlin village and the cities of Inkhel and Jassem in the northwestern countryside of the southern province of Daraa.
The source said the army operations left a number of terrorists dead and their weapons and equipment destroyed.
Another army unit targeted positions of terrorists from the so-called “Saif al-Sham Brigades” in Atman town, 4km north of Daraa city, killing a number of them.
The terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages the death of a number of their members, including Rateb Anwar al-Hamid, who is leader of the so-called “Osama Bin Zaid Brigade”.
Homs
An army unit destroyed an armored vehicle and a cannon belonging to ISIS terrorists to the southeast of Wadi al-Zakara in the countryside of Tadmur (Palmyra) in the central Homs province, the military source said.
In the northern countryside of Homs, army units carried out operations against positions of Jabhat al-Nusra in al-Rastan al-Tahtani, near al-Tiba village, al-Dalla Farm in Ghanto village and the surroundings of the citadel in Talbiseh city.
The operations left many terrorists dead and their weapons and equipment destroyed.
Terrorist Iyad al-Deek, who is identified as the leader of the so-called “Khaled Ibn al-Walid Brigade” group was confirmed dead, according to terrorist organizations’ social media pages.
Idleb/Hama
Army units destroyed terrorists’ hideouts in Mhambel, al-Latamneh, al-Mansoura and Skik in Idleb and Hama countryside.
Lattakia
A number of terrorists were killed during army operations against dens of terrorists in the north eastern countryside of Lattakia.
A military source said in a statement to SANA that the operations which were carried out in cooperation with the popular defense groups targeted hideouts of Jabhat al-Nusra, the so-called Ahrar al-Sahel brigade and Ahrar al-Sham movement in al-Mreij and al-Marouniyat villages in Rabia area 37 kilometers to the north east of Lattakia city.
At least 18 terrorists were confirmed dead, others were injured and dens of terrorist organizations were destroyed during these operations.
Army kills scores of terrorists, destroys their equipment in several provinces
30 September 2015 ~ Units of the army and the armed forces carried out intensified operations against terrorists on Wednesday, targeting their positions, movements and hideouts and inflicting heavy losses upon them.
A military source told SANA that in implementation of the agreement between Syria and Russia to combat international terrorism and eliminate ISIS, Russian aircrafts, in cooperation with the Syrian army’s Air Force, launched on Wednesday a number of airstrikes against ISIS dens in al-Rastan, Talbeisa, al-Zaafran, al-Tolol al-Humr, Aydon, Deir Fol and the area surrounding Salamia in the central region in Syria, achieving direct hits and inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorist organization.
Hama
Army units intensified operations against terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra and the so-called “Jaish al-Fateh” in the northern countryside of Hama province.
Field sources told SANA that an army unit destroyed two vehicles equipped with machine guns belonging to terrorists on a road linking Kafr Zita and al-Zakat towns.
In the northwestern countryside of the province, a large number of terrorists were killed and others were injured and one of their armored vehicles was destroyed as an army unit fired a rocket on their positions in al-Latamneh town.
The Army’s air force destroyed terrorists’ dens to the east of Morek in Hama countryside.
Homs
The army’s air force destroyed dens for ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organizations near al-Shaer oil field to the north-west of Palmyra.
The army’s raids killed a number of the ISIS terrorists and inflicted them heavy losses.
The army’s air force also killed a number of ISIS terrorists and destroyed their cells in Hanoura and al-Qaryateen villages to the east of Homs.
Earlier, terrorist organizations acknowledged the death of three of their leaders in the past few hours in Talbisa town to the north of Homs city.
Terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages the killing of: Ahmad Hasan Khashfa a leader “Jaish al-Tawhid”, Abdul-Muhaimen al-Agha the president of “al-Zaafarana Court” and Akram Haj Eissa, who is chairman of “Board of Talbisa Scholars”.
Aleppo
Army units carried out last night and on Wednesday morning intensive operations against terrorists’ positions in the northern Aleppo province.
A military source told SANA that the operations were centered in the villages and towns of Deir Hafer, Baqja, Blat, al-Salehiyeh, Rayyan, Jabboul, al-Sheikh Lutfi, Toloul al-Hatabat, al-Naam, al-Sabien, Ayyoub and near the thermal station in the eastern countryside of the province.
The source said many terrorists were killed, most of them from Jabhat al-Nusra, and a number of their hideouts and machinegun-equipped vehicles were destroyed in the operations.
Meanwhile, the army units defending the Air Force Academy destroyed a number of ISIS hideouts, with terrorists, arms and ammunition inside, in the surroundings of the Academy, located on the international highway leading to Raqqa.
An army unit also inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists as it targeted their dens and positions in al-Mansoura village.
More terrorists were killed and others were injured and a number of their vehicles and mortar launchers were destroyed in operations against their positions in the neighborhoods of Karm Maisar, Karm al-Jabal, al-Layramoun, Bustan al-Basha and al-Sakhour in Aleppo City.
Quneitra
An army unit targeted last night Jabhat al-Nusra-linked terrorist groups in the village of Trinja in the countryside of the southern Quneitra province.
A number of terrorists were killed, including Ashraf al- Hourani of the so-called “Ahrar Nawa Battalion” during the army operations, in addition to destroying their vehicles, weapons and ammunition.
Another army unit killed and injured a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and destroyed their weapons and equipment in Bait Jinn Farm in the northern countryside of the province.
In another context, SANA reporter said terrorists fired rockets on the villages of Hadar, Khan Arnabeh and Harfa, causing material damage to houses and public and private properties.
Daraa
An Army unit carried out an accurate operation against dens and gatherings of “Jabhat al-Nusra” and other terrorist organizations in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood in Daraa.
The operation resulted in killing many terrorists and destroying their weapons to the southwest of Syriatel Building Daraa al-Balad neighborhood.
Army kills dozens of terrorists, including groups’ leaders, in continued operations across the country
29 September 2015 ~ The army units on Tuesday killed dozens of Takfiri terrorist organizations’ members in many areas across the country, destroying their hideouts, positions and vehicles.
Quneitra
At least 15 terrorists were killed and 5 vehicles, three 122-mm guns and two 120-mm mortars were destroyed as a result of operations carried out yesterday and early today by the army units, in cooperation with the popular defense groups in the southern province .
Field sources told SANA Tuesday that fierce clashes erupted with a terrorist group from Jabhat al-Nusra at the intersection of al-Amal farms in the northern countryside of the province, where all the group’s members were killed.
Two vehicles with terrorists on board were destroyed in Trinjeh town and near the main square in al-Hamidiyeh town.
Meanwhile, the terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages the death of a number of their members, among them the so-called “field leader of al-Jihad al-Muqadas battalion”, who is named Ahmad Moussa Abu Kharroub, in addition to Ali Khaled al-Zoubi and Hamid Hassan Dahdal.
Daraa
An army unit killed a number of terrorists and destroyed their weapons as it targeted their gatherings in Tafas city, 13 km to the north of Daraa city, according to a military source.
The army also targeted hideouts of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and the so-called “Al-Muthanna Movement”, “Ahrar al-Sham Movement”, “Al-Omari Brigades” in Daraa al-Balad and Daraa al- Mahatta neighborhoods in Daraa city.
The source told SANA that the operations there left a number of terrorists dead, others injured and their arms and ammunition destroyed.
Sweida
Army units targeted ISIS terrorists’ hideouts and hotbeds in Kherbet Sa’d in the eastern Badiya (desert) of Sweida, a military source told SANA on Tuesday.
The army operation left a number of terrorists dead, injured others, and destroyed their arms and ammunition.
Lattakia
An army unit killed 7 terrorists and destroyed one of their vehicles in al-Mraij village in the northern countryside of the coastal Lattakia province.
Homs
The army air force destroyed dens for ISIS terrorists in raids that targeted their gatherings in the vicinity of Sha’er oil field to the north- west of Palmyra city in the countryside of Homs province, a military source told SANA on Tuesday.
The air raids ended up with the killing of a number of ISISI terrorists, inflicting them heavy losses in equipment.
An army unit killed numbers of ISIS terrorists and destroyed their vehicles and equipment in Tafha village and al-Maqal’e area to the northwest of Palmyra city.
In the northern countryside of Homs province, the army’s air force raided Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists’ dens in Deir Foul and Talbeiseh, 13 km north of Homs city, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their vehicles, arms and ammunition.
The army air force destroyed gatherings for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and killed a number of them in Jabal al-Ken, 24 km east of al-Rastan city.
Meanwhile, an army unit thwarted terrorist organization’s attack from the north of al-Sa’an al-Aswad village towards one of the military checkpoints in the region, killing and injuring all members of the terrorist organization.
Another army unit targeted the terrorists’ gatherings in Salim, Ezz Eddin, Ain Hasno, al-Nabhan farms and Tal Abu al-Sanasel in the northern countryside of the province, killing many terrorists and destroying their arms and ammunition.
Earlier, An army unit targeted with intensive strikes a hideout for terrorists during a meeting for a number of their leaders in al-Houleh area in the northern countryside of Homs province.
A military source told SANA on Tuesday that the army operation resulted in destroying the hideouts, which was located between the villages of al-Taybeh and Kfr Laha, and killing all the terrorists inside it.
Aleppo
Units of the army and the armed forces destroyed dens and hotbeds of the Takfiri terrorist organizations in the northern Aleppo province and its countryside.
In the eastern countryside of the province, a military source told SANA that army units bombarded dens of the terrorist organizations and the axes of their movements in the villages of al-Sheikh Lutfi and Rasm al-Abd and in the surroundings of al-Nayrab Airport.
The source added that a number of terrorists were killed and others were injured in the bombardments, most of them from Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization, in addition to destroying a number of their machinegun-equipped vehicles and large amounts of varied ammunition.
The army’s Air Force destroys terrorists’ dens in Koirs Sharqi, Irbyid, Deir hafir, al-Jabol, Hamima, al-Bakjia and Tal al-Sabain in the eastern countryside of the province.
Heavy losses were also inflicted upon the ISIS terrorist organization in the arms and personnel by the forces defending the Air Force Academy to the east of Aleppo City.
In Aleppo City, units of the army destroyed a number of the terrorists’ hotbeds in precise operations against their hotbeds in the neighborhoods of Bostan al-Basha, Bani Zaid, Karm al- Maiser, al-Jdaida, al-Sha’ar, Bostan al-Qasir, Qadi Askar, and Manasher al-Hajar.
Meanwhile, field sources told SANA that more than 30 terrorists were killed in army operations in Aleppo and its countryside, in addition to destroying a number of the machinegun-equipped vehicles and cars.
In turn, Takfiri terrorist organizations admitted on their social networking pages that a number of their members were killed, including terrorist Mohammad Mahmoud al-Ahmad and terrorist Ali Ahmed Taha Shashou.
Raqqa
The army’s air force killed a number of ISIS terrorists in al-Raqqa province.
Hama and Idleb
An army unit killed 8 terrorists and destroyed their arms and ammunition in al-Tamanaa in the southern countryside of Idleb province, field sources told SANA reporter on Tuesday.
Two vehicles equipped with two machineguns were destroyed and all the terrorists onboard were killed after the army observed their movements on the road of Jisr al-Shoghour -al-Freikeh.
A number of the so called “Jaish al-Fateh” terrorists were killed and injured in al-Duhour town in the southwestern countryside of Idleb province.
Meanwhile, Heavy losses were inflicted upon the terrorists’ personnel and equipment in army’s air strikes on their dens and gatherings in al-Tamanaa and al-Majas towns.
In the northern countryside of Hama province, army units inflicted heavy losses upon the terrorists’ personnel and equipment in targeting their dens and gatherings in al-latamneh town.
A number of terrorists were killed and their arms and equipment were destroyed in army unit operation east of Morek , 30 km north of Hama city.
Army units, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, targeted ISIS terrorists’ dens in the villages of al-Rahjan, Jana al-Albawi and tuloul al-Hemr in the eastern countryside of the province, inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists’ personnel and equipment.
The army air force raided intensively on the so called ‘Jaish al-Fateh” terrorists’ hideouts in al-Mansoura in the nearest northwestern countryside of the province.
The raids ended up with destroying vehicles and dens for the terrorists and killing all the terrorists inside them.

Similar situation like when they got all the Koronets from the stoarge area around Al-Quaratayn area. I am not sure of the exact town/ area the depot was in, but I remember that suddenly the Rebels had alot of missiles. About two years ago. After Israel complained for years that it was surrounded by oil-rich states but didn’t have a drop within its own borders, it appears there’s a big-time turnaround with the announcement Wednesday that massive oil reserves have been located in the Golan Heights,close to the country’s border with Syria.
Afek Oil and Gas, an Israeli subsidiary of the U.S. company Genie Energy, confirmed the find in an interview with Israel’s Channel 2 TVbut conceded that until the oil is actually extracted, they won’t be sure of the actual amounts and quality of the oil that has been discovered.
“We are talking about a strata which is 350 meters thick and what is important is the thickness and the porosity,” the company’s chief geologist, Yuval Bartov, explained.
“On average in the world, strata are 20-30 meters thick, so this is ten times as large as that, so we are talking about significant quantities. The important thing is to know the oil is in the rock and that’s what we now know.”
According to a September 2014 Times of Israel report on the Golan exploration, Genie Energy is chaired by Howard Jonas and counts among its more notable investors the “former US Vice President Dick Cheney, Michael Steinhardt, Jacob Rothschild, and Rupert Murdoch.”

Israel unilaterally annexed the Golan Heights in 1981. The move was NOT recognised internationally.
The area is also a key source of water for an arid region.
