The Syrian Arab Army establishes control over areas in Hama, Lattakia, Aleppo
(12 October 2015) ~ The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces announced in a statement on Monday that the Army and Armed Forces established control over the Free Zone in Aleppo and 13 towns and villages and one area in Hama and Lattakia provinces.
The statement said that the various divisions of the Army and Armed Forces, and under concentrated cover fire from the Air Force and artillery and missile units, army units made remarkable achievements in its operations in the northern countryside of Hama province.
The General Command said that the Armed Forces established control over the towns and villages of Kafar Nabouda, Atshan, Qubeibat, Maarakaba, Oum Harten, Sekik, Tal Sekik, Tal al-Sakher, and al-Bahsa in the northern countryside of Hama province.
The statement said that operations on both sides of the administrative line between Hama and Idleb provinces resulted in the elimination of many terrorists, the destruction of a number of armored vehicles and ammo depots in al-Tamane’a, Sekik, and Tal Sekik, in addition to five machinegun-equipped vehciles three US-made TOW missile launch pads in Oum Harten.
The General Command said that operations also resulted in destroying terrorists’ command centers and weapon and ammo depots in Ma’aret al-Nu’man, Saraqeb, Haish, Muhambel, Tal Tera’I, east and north of al-Tamane’a, west of Sekik, south of Khan Sheikhoun, al-Latamneh, and Habbit, and Kafar Nabouda, while 20 vehicles transporting terrorists, weapons, and munitions were destroyed and large amounts of terrorists’ weapons, equipment, and ammo were seized east of Tal Sekik.
In the northern countryside of Lattakia province, army units established control over the towns of Jub al-Ahmar and Kafar Delbe, in addition to Katef Jouret al-Batikh hills and Ruwaiset Khandaq Jamo, the statement said, adding that army units continued to advance and established control over the southeastern outskirts of Salma town.
The General Command said that the army also targeted command centers and concentrations of terrorists in Tal A’as, Ruwaiset al-Qubour, Sama and Melouhet Katef al-Ghadr in the countryside of Lattakia province.
The statement went on to say that army units established full control over the entirety of the Free Zone area in Aleppo province after inflicting heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists and directing concentrated strikes on terrorists’ concentrations in the surroundings of Kuwairis Airport, confirming that this resulted in destroying terrorists’ command centers, weapon and ammo depots, and vehicles equipped with weapons.
The General Command stated that the successes achieved since the beginning of the wide-scale ground operation conducted with air and artillery support have resulted in inflicting heavy losses upon terrorist organizations, causing their morale to collapse and prompting large numbers of them to flee towards Turkish borders.
Syrian Army and Air Force inflict heavy losses upon terrorists across the country
12 October 2015 ~ Units of the Syrian Arab Army and the armed forces, backed by the Syrian army air force, on Monday carried out wide-scale military operations against the Takfiri terrorist organizations across the country, destroying their dens and positions and inflicting heavy losses upon them in the personnel and the equipment.
Damascus Countryside
The Syrian Army Air Force destroyed terrorist organizations’ dens in Qalamoun area, Damascus countryside province, a military source told SANA.
Aleppo
The Syrian Army Air Force destroyed dens and vehicles of ISIS in Jabboul, Howejine, Alam hills, Sabe’en and al-Ne’am areas in the eastern countryside of the northern province of Aleppo.
The Army Air Force carried out air strikes against gatherings, axes of movements and supply routes of ISIS terrorists in some villages and towns in Deir Hafer and al-Sfeira area in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
Gatherings of ISIS terrorist organization were destroyed during air strikes in al-Sheikh Ahmad and Jub al-Safa villages east of Kweires area in Deir Hafer, according to a military source.
Air strikes against dens of ISIS terrorists in Heijeneh, Qseir al-Ward, Tal al-Naa’am, Treidem and Um Damneh in al-Sfeira area to the south west of Aleppo city destroyed vehicles and munitions of terrorists and killed some of them.
Deir Ezzor
The Syrian Army Air Force launched airstrikes against dens of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The airstrikes resulted in the killing death of many terrorists and the destruction of their vehicles and weapons.
Field sources told SANA that an army unit eliminated more than 55 of ISIS’ terrorists and destroyed a Pickup car loaded with weapons in al-Jafra village.
Another army unit launched concentrated strikes against ISIS’ gatherings in al-Bo Sayid in Mohasan city to the east of Deir Ezzor city, killing 9 terrorists including 4 of foreign nationalities.
Local sources in al-Mayadeen city said that a state of confusion has set in among ISIS militants after the death of 5 of ISIS leaders in the city.
The terrorists Nassir Ani al-Alaj and Abass Ali al-Hussin al-Omair were confirmed dead, according to ISIS pages on social media sites.
Idleb
Field sources told SANA that a unit of the army destroyed a den of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Mastouma village in the southern countryside of Idleb province, killing at least 31 terrorists who were inside the den.
The sources added that units of the army continued their military operations against dens and positions of the so-called “Jaish al-Fatih” terrorists in al-Taman’aa and al-Habit towns.
Hama
A unit of the army also killed 5 terrorists and destroyed 3 of their vehicles with all arms and ammunition inside them near Kafr Zita town in the northern countryside of Hama province.
Units of the army are fighting in fierce battels against terrorist organizations in al-Maghir village and in the surroundings of Kafr Nabbouda town where the army has achieved notable advances reaching the southern roundabout in the town, after inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists in the personnel and the equipment.
Meanwhile, the death of a prominent self-claimed leader of the so-called “Jaish al-Fatih” terrorist Abdul-Hakim al-Asaad was confirmed.
Field sources said that disputes and clashes erupted between the Takfiri organizations due to the increased withdrawals of some of terrorist groups from al-Ghab plain where at least seven terrorists were killed.
Meanwhile, the Takfiri terrorist organizations acknowledged on their pages on the social networking websites that the self-claimed “military commander of the central division “terrorist Mohammad Ridwan al-Hussein and the self-claimed “deputy commander of the 60th infantry division” terrorist Mohammad Marwan al-Faraj were killed.
The Syrian Army Air Force also destroyed Terrorist organizations’ vehicles in Qleib al-Thawr and al-Sayyadh in the countryside of the province.
The Syrian Army Air Force launched airstrikes against dens of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), destroying their vehicles and ammunition in Kalib al-Thor village in the eastern countryside of al-Salmyia in Hama countryside.
Numbers of terrorists were killed, others were injured in addition to destroying their vehicles and hideouts during army’s airstrikes against their gatherings in al-Sayad village in the northern countryside of Hama.
Homs
The Syrian army air force carried out raids on gatherings of ISIS terrorists in the vicinity of al-Shaer field, al-Maqale area in the countryside of Palmyra, the villages of Um Sahreij and al-Fao, and to the east of al-Jarah town , 73 km east of Homs city, according to a military source.
The strikes resulted in destroying vehicles and equipment for ISIS terrorist organization and killing a number of its members.
A number of ISIS terrorists were killed and injured and their arms and equipment were destroyed in army intensive strikes against their hotbeds in al-Hadath village south east of Homs city.
In the northern countryside of the province, army units destroyed two vehicles for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization and killed all the terrorists onboard in Talbeiseh as another army unit killed a number of terrorists in accurate operations against their dens and gatherings in Tal Abu al-Sanasel, al-Hilaiyeh, Aba al-Ghajar, al-Deek area towards Jaboureen and Um Sharshouh.
Lattakia
A military source said the Russian Air Force in cooperation with the Syrian Air force destroyed 25 fortified positions storing arms and munitions and a command center for terrorist organizations in the northern countryside of Lattakia.
The airstrikes destroyed seven command centers, six training camps, six ammunition depots, some vehicles and three fortified shelters for terrorists in the northern countryside of the province.
Daraa
An army unit carried out an accurate operation against terrorists’ gatherings in Daraa al-Balad area in Daraa province.
The operation resulted in the destruction of a mortar launcher, killing a number of terrorists and injuring many others in al-Bajaja district in Daraa al-Balad.
Many terrorists were killed and their weaponry and ammunition were destroyed during army’s concentrated hits against their fortified positions in Attman town in the northern countryside of Daraa.
The Syrian army and air force continue fighting terrorists in different areas
(11 October 2015) ~ The Syrian army and air force continued their fighting against terrorist organizations in different areas of the country, killing scores of terrorists and destroying their hideouts.
The Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday the Russian Air Force bombed 63 ISIS positions during the last 24 hours in Hama, Lattakia, Idleb and Raqqa.
Aleppo
The Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force targeted in intensive strikes ISIS terrorists’ dens and supply routes in the eastern countryside of Aleppo province.
A military source told SANA that the airstrikes resulted in destroying fortified sites for ISIS and targeted their movements in the towns and villages of Qseir al-Ward, al-Baqjiyeh, south of al-Nasriyeh, Jeb al-Safa, al-Sheikh Ahmad, Tal al-Ne’am, Tal Istabl, al-Salhiyeh, al-Hwaijeeneh, al-Jaboul and Tal Sab’een.
Later, the source said that army operations resulted in destroying terrorists’ hotbeds in al-Rashidin 4 and Bani Zeid neighborhoods, al-Lairamoun, and al-Castello road in Aleppo city.
The army forces defending the Air Force Academy destroyed vehicles used by ISIS terrorists in the Academy’s surroundings on the highway leading to Raqqa.
Other army units carried out concentrated operations targeting ISIS hideouts and movements in Sbaiha village and the surroundings of al-Safira city in the province’s southeastern countryside, which left a number of terrorists dead.
The army also eliminated a number of terrorists, most of them from Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization, and destroyed some of their machinegun-equipped vehicles in the surroundings of the Scientific Research Center in the western countryside, while many terrorists were killed in army operations in al-Mallah area in the northern countryside.
Homs
In the central province of Homs, the Syrian army air force morning conducted a number of airstrikes targeting dens and positions of the ISIS terrorist organization in the eastern countryside.
The air force carried out a number of airstrikes based on accurate intelligence information about the movements and
positions of ISIS terrorists in al-Qaryatain village, 85 km to the east of Homs City.
A number of machinegun-equipped vehicles were destroyed in the strikes with all the arms and ammunition inside them.
The army air force also carried out airstrikes against dens and hotbeds of the ISIS terrorists in Jibab Hamad village, 70 km to the east of Homs city, destroying a number of varied machinegun- equipped vehicles and an amount of arms and
ammunition.
Meanwhile, heavy losses were inflicted upon the ISIS extremist organization in personnel and equipment in airstrikes carried out by the army air force against their dens and vehicles in al- Tafha village, 70 km to the east of Homs City.
A unit of army carried out special operations against dens and gatherings of ISIS terrorists which resulted in killing a number of terrorists in Rahoum village, the largest gathering of the organization in the far eastern countryside of Homs near al-Raqqa.
A vehicle for ISIS terrorists with all arms and ammunition on board was destroyed between Hawareen and al-Hadath villages in the south eastern countryside of Homs.
Later, a military source said the Syrian Air Force carried out airstrikes ISIS sites and concentrations in Palmyra (Tadmur) city, the surroundings of al-Qaryatain, and al-Zakara valley in the eastern countryside, which resulted in the death of many terrorists and the destruction of a number of their vehicles and weapons.
In the northern countryside of Homs, continued army operations against dens of terrorists under the leadership of Jabhat al-Nusra in Abu al-Sanabel hill and the area surrounding al-Rastan and Talbeeseh left a number of terrorists dead and a bulldozer, arms and ammunition were destroyed for them.
An army unit killed 3 terrorists and injured 5 others in Kafr Laha village in al-Houla area in Homs countryside.
Hama
The army established control on Skeik town in Hama northern countryside after eliminating a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists.
The army’s air force killed terrorists in Latmin, Lahaya, al-Latamneh and Kafr Naboudah in Hama countryside.
A military source affirmed that the terrorist organizations have been inflicted heavy losses in personnel and equipment in the wide land military operation carried out by the Army under a support of the Russian air force and in cooperation with the Syrian air force in Hama northern countryside.
The destroyed 20 vehicles loaded with ammunition in Tal Skik in the northern countryside of Hama.
The source added that a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed in the surrounding areas.
Army units were able to enter Atashan town in Hama northern countryside and killed scores of terrorists and destroyed their weaponry and munitions, including vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns and mortars.
A field officer told SANA reporter that a number of terrorists along with advanced weaponry were seized in the process.
Meanwhile, field sources told SANA that the army units also inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists in its artillery on their dens in Tal Wasit and al-Zyarah villages in addition to al-Mansoura town in which the army have achieved great progress.
Lattakia
The army’s Air Force conducted airstrikes against terrorists’ positions in Kitf al-Ghadr, al-Mallouha, al-Ghuneima and Rweiset Khandaq Khamou in the northeastern countryside of Lattakia province.
Numbers of the terrorists were killed and several of their vehicles and equipment were destroyed in the airstrikes.
Army units also destroyed 7 of the terrorists’ vehicles in Rabiaa area, that were heading to al-Khadra village, killing a number of Chechen terrorists.
The Air Force carried out airstrikes on terrorists’ hideouts in the surroundings of Salma town 48km northeast of Lattakia city, which resulted in destroying them completely and eliminating many terrorists, in addition to destroying more terrorists’ hideouts in Ruwaiset al-Tawila and Ruwaiset al-Qessis in the northern mountains of the province’s countryside.
Sources on the ground told SANA’s correspondent that the terrorists’ vehicles that were destroyed were headed towards al-Khadra village, and that Mansour Khuwaildi, Hazem Adiri, and Abi Salama Qassem Safi from Iraq were identified among the terrorists that were killed.
Idleb
The army’s air force destroyed dens for terrorist organizations in al-Tamana’a, Khan Sheikhoun and al-Habeit in Idleb countryside, killing scores of terrorists and destroying a number of their vehicles.
Daraa
An army unit targeted terrorists’ movements and positions in Tal al-Sheikh Hussien and Tuloul Khleif area in the eastern countryside of the southern Daraa province.
All members of a terrorist group were killed or injured, and their vehicle was destroyed.
Six vehicles were damaged in a precise army operation against terrorists positioned in Daraa al- Balad neighborhood in Daraa city.
Later on Sunday afternoon, an army unit killed and injured all the members of a terrorist group in al-Abazid neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad.
Another Army unit killed a number of terrorists and destroyed their weapons to the south of Syriatel Building in al-Manshia neighborhood.
