Russian Defense Ministry:
14 breaches of “cessation of fighting acts” by terrorist organizations were observed during the past 24 hours
Moscow, SANA-Russian Defense Ministry announced on Thursday that 14 breaches of “cessation of fighting acts” by terrorist organizations were observed in Syria during the past 24 hours.
“14 breaches were observed, 3 in Damascus, 2 in Quneitra and Lattakia, 1 in each of Hama and Daraa and 5 breaches in Aleppo, said a statement by the Russian Center for Coordinating and Observing the cessation of fighting acts, published on the Ministry’s website page.
The center added “the Russian air force didn’t carry out airstrikes against armed groups which accepted the cessation of hostilities.”
66 breaches of cessation of fighting acts have been observed since the start of applying the process at the midnight of last Friday-Saturday.
Two civilians killed, 25 injured in terrorist rocket attacks in Aleppo
Aleppo, SANA- Two civilians were killed and 25 others were injured in terrorist rocket attacks on al-Sheikh Maqsoud in Aleppo on Thursday.
Local sources told SANA reporter that the terrorist organizations targeted al-Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood with rocket shells, claiming the lives of two civilians.
On February 21, Six civilians, including a child,were killed in terrorist shells targeted al-Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.
Water back to Aleppo after ISIS cutoff
Aleppo, SANA – Water has been pumped back to Aleppo from al-Khafseh station in the eastern part of the province following a 48-day cut after ISIS terrorists stopped water supplies, Director General of Aleppo Water Establishment announced on Friday.
Mustafa Malhis told SANA in a statement that “great efforts” were made by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), the mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to restore water supply.
The work, he noted, included repairing Ein al-Beideh station and coordination with the parties on the ground.
Malhis noted that water is now being temporarily pumped into the course of the Queiq River until water drawing canals are cleansed in order to later pump clean water to neighborhoods and residential areas.
Power supply is gradually returning to all areas
An Electricity Ministry source said power is gradually returning to Syrian areas after the cause of outage was found.
The source noted that the network will be restored to its earlier capacity by midnight.
It said earlier that power suddenly went out in all the provinces and that maintenance teams were working to identify the cause of the outage and fix it in order to restore electricity as quickly as possible.
In a relevant context, the Syrian Telecommunications Establishment said Internet service is back after a fault that earlier caused a partial outage to all the provinces has been fixed.
