The Syrian Army, backed by the Syrian Air Force, continued carrying out combating terrorism in various area and provinces of the country.

Syrian Army units with a cover from the Syrian Air Force targeted hideouts and gatherings of terrorists from Daesh, Jabhat al-Nusra and other mercenary gangs and terrorist organizations across the country, wrecking their Comman centers, killing dozens of them and destroying their vehicles and equipment.

for Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS terrorists destroyed


An army unit targeted Jabhat al-Nusra-linked terrorist groups that launched an attack from the direction of al-Sheikh Hussein and Khleif hills on military posts on the border with Sweida province, a military source told SANA on Sunday.

The attack was foiled, with many of the terrorists getting killed or injured before the rest escaped, the source said.

Another army unit destroyed an artillery position and a command center for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Daraa al-Mahatta neighborhood in Daraa city.

More terrorists from groups affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra suffered heavy losses as they were targeted after attacking military checkpoints in al-Manshiyeh neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad area in the city.

Syrian Army Troops


In the central province of Homs, the Syrian Air Force launched strikes against sites and gatherings of ISIS terrorists in the provinces’ eastern countryside.

A number of vehicles equipped with machine guns were destroyed in the airstrikes to the east of al-Qaryatain city, some 85 km southeast of Homs city.

A large number of ISIS terrorists were also killed as air strikes hit their gatherings, sites and supply routes in the direction of Arak Road to the east of Tadmur (Palmyra) city and in the northern mountains surrounding the city.


An army unit targeted terrorist positions in the town of Kafrnabouda and surrounding villages in the countryside of Hama province on Sunday, a military source told SANA.

The source said that the army that the positions in question were used by terrorists to fire shells and rockets at al-Sqailibiye town 48 km northwest of Hama city, and that the army’s operations resulted in destroying a number of rocket and mortar launchers in al-Jaberiye village and the surroundings of Kafrnabouda, in addition to killing a number of terrorists.

It should be noted that terrorists targeted al-Sqailibiye with 14 rocket shells on Sunday morning, killing one civilian and injuring 4 others, in addition to causing considerable material damage.

In the province’s eastern countryside, the military source said that an army unit, in cooperation with popular defense groups, set an ambush for terrorist groups from ISIS south of Aqareb town, which resulted in destroying a machinegun-equipped armored vehicles and killing many terrorists.

28 ISIS terrorists killed in Hama,
more hideouts and vehicles targeted in other areas


An army unit, with a cover from the Syrian Air force, clashed with Jabhat al-Nusra and Jund al-Aqsa terrorists in al-Tamanaa, Skeik and Atshan who tried to attack residential areas in the direction of Maan, 30 km north of Hama city, a military source told SANA on Friday.

The attack was foiled and 28 terrorists were killed, including one of Jabhat al-Nusra leaders in Atshan who is nicknamed “Abu Moussa”, the source confirmed.

Two vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns and 3 cannons were destroyed in the confrontations.


The Syrian Air Force carried out airstrikes on concentrations and movements of ISIS terrorists north of Palmyra city and around the warehouses in the area in the eastern countryside of Homs province.

A military source told SANA that the airstrikes resulted in killing many members of ISIS and destroying a number of their vehicles, some of them equipped with machineguns.

Later, the source said that Army and Armed Forces units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, thwarted an infiltration attempt by terrorist groups affiliated with ISIS from the direction of Oum Suhairij village towards the villages of Maksar al-Hussan, Tuloul al-Hawa al-Sharqiya, and Tuloul al-Hawa al-Gharbiya in Jubb al-Jarrah area 73 km east of Homs city.

Army units clashed with the attacking terrorists and targeted them with precision fire, which resulted in destroying a number of their vehicles, some of them equipped with machineguns, and killing a number of terrorists, while the remaining terrorists fled towards Oum Suhairij and nearby villages where they are holed up.

Deir Ezzor

Army units targeted ISIS positions in al-Sinaa and al-Ummal neighborhoods in Deir Ezzor city, destroying them along with the weapons and equipment inside.

In the meantime, the army’s air force hit gatherings and fortifications of ISIS terrorists in al-Kassarat area and Baqjaji farm on the southern outskirts of Deir Ezzor city.


An army unit destroyed two vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns belonging to Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Sheikh Hussein and Khleif hills in Sweida countryside.


An army unit targeted with concentrated artillery fire 4 vehicles belonging to Jabhat al-Nusra which were moving in Tal al-Sheikh Hussein and Toloul Khalif in the far northeast countryside of Daraa province.

At least 2 vehicles were destroyed, many terrorists were killed and others were injured due to the artillery strikes.

In Daraa al-Balad, army units clashed with terrorist groups affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra who were attacking military checkpoints to the east of al-Karak Tank and al-Abassia neighborhood.

Numbers of terrorists were killed and their vehicles and mortar launchers were destroyed in the clashes.


200 displaced families are back
to their homes in al-Qaryatain, Homs

22/4/2016 ~ Locals in al-Qaryatain city in Homs called for speeding up the provision of infrastructure services such as water, electricity, telephone networks and sewage networks in addition to securing tanks for drinking water.

The locals expressed their determination to stay in their city despite the difficulties they face, noting the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army in eliminating terrorists in al-Qariyatain and securing the return of locals to live in peace and stability.

Mayor of al-Qaryatain Mohammed Deif Allah al-Qaed said that about 200 families currently live in the city in addition to hundreds of families willing to return back after securing the basic infrastructure, particularly drinking water.

During a tour in al-Qaryatain on April 18th, Homs Governor Tala al-Barazi said that the service workshops continue their work to secure all requirements for locals.

On April 3rd, Army units in cooperation with the supporting groups fully restored security and stability to al-Qaryatain which is located 85 kilometers to the south east of Homs and eliminated the remaining gatherings of ISIS terrorist there.
