Syrian Army establishes control over 3 strategic points near Palmyra, kills more Daesh mercenary-terrorists in other areas
22 May 2016 ~ More terrorists are getting killed as the army units, backed by the Air Force, continued Sunday striking their positions in various areas, with their equipment and vehicles destroyed in the operations.
Homs
A military source announced that the army units and popular defense groups established control over three strategic points in in the direction of al-Mazar Mountain northeast of Palmyra in Homs province.
The Point of al-Hari Citadel as well as Points 619 and 711 came under the army’s control after the remaining gatherings of ISIS terrorists were eliminated there.
Earlier, the source said the army’s air force destroyed ISIS terrorists’ positions and vehicles in the vicinity of al-Shaer oil field in the eastern countryside of the province.
ISIS positions and vehicles were destroyed in the army air force sorties on their dens in the villages of Abu Joreis, Unq al-Hawa, Um Sahreej, Um al-Reesh and Um Tababeer.
A field source told SANA that an army unit carried out an operation, targeting a den for leaders of terrorist organization of Jabhat al-Nusra in al-Quneitrat village in al-Rastan town, adding that the terrorist Hussein Nawaf al-Nassif was killed in addition to many others during the operation.
Deir Ezzor
In the eastern Deir Ezzor province, the army’s air force destroyed ISIS terrorists’ fortified positions, armored vehicles and and pickup vehicles equipped with machineguns in the vicinity of the Airport and to the southwest of DeirEzzor city.
An army unit carried out concentrated operations against ISIS terrorists’ gatherings and positions in the vicinity of al-Tharda Mountain in the southeastern countryside of the Province.
32 ISIS terrorists at least were killed, and two vehicles loaded with weapons and ammunition were destroyed during the operations.
Another army unit clashed with a group of ISIS terrorists that attempted to infiltrate from Hweijet Saqer in the vicinity of Deir-Ezzor city towards al-Sina’a neighborhood, where many of the terrorists were either killed or injured.
Sweida
In southern Syria, an army unit targeted ISIS terrorists’ gatherings in al-Qaser village at the outskirts of the Badyia area in Sweida southern province, killing many of the terrorists and destroying a vehicle equipped with a machinegun.
Five civilians killed, 20 injured in terrorist explosion in Qamishli
22 May 2016 ~ Five civilians were killed and 20 others were injured as a terrorist affiliated to the terrorist organization of Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) blew himself up inside a restaurant in al-Qamishli city.
A source at the Governorate stated that the terrorist explosion took place Saturday night inside “Domino Restaurant” in al-Qamishli
The terrorist act caused material damage to the restaurant and a number of cars in the site.
Two other terrorists were killed before blowing themselves up.
Later on, the ISIS terrorist organization claimed responsibility for the explosion.
Syrian Authorities seize truck loaded with over 25 tons of medical supplies for Daesh coming from Turkey
21 May 2016 ~ Authorities in Aleppo on Saturday seized a truck loaded with more than 25 tons of supplies for field hospitals coming from the Turkish territories to be sent to ISIS terrorists and other terrorist groups affiliated to it.
A source in Aleppo said in a statement to SANA’s reporter that after monitoring and investigating al-Yaman, a Turkish medical company, the authorities seized a truck loaded with more than 25 tons of supplies for field hospitals worth more than USD 100,000.
“Al-Yaman Company in Istanbul is sending medicine, equipment, and medical supplies to ISIS organization in Manbej and Mosul and to other terrorist groups”, the source explained.
Authorities arrested the terrorist Abdelrahman Canjo from “Shohadaa al-Haq Brigade” terrorist group who was transporting arms and medicine for terrorist groups in Aleppo, the source added.
In confessions broadcast by the Syrian TV later in the evening, Canjo, who was born in Homs province in 1992, said that medicine and other supplies were brought in via Bab al-Hawa crossing point under the supervision of Ahrar al-Cham, and then they would be stored at al-Yaman’s warehouses under the supervision of the man in charge of the warehouses, Ahmad al-Sheikh Abboud.
Canjo said he received his orders from one Abdelmajid al-Khatib, and that he ran two shipments to Manbej with other accomplices.
He went on to talk about how he became involved with terrorist groups, saying that in 2012 he joined the “Shohadaa al-Murabitin” terror group which was led by one Mamoun al-Nasser, and he took part in several attacks on villages along with other groups affiliated to “Ahrar al-Cham movement ” terrorist organization.
Canjo said he and his cohorts received weapons including DShK-equipped vehicles and 20 cases of ammo from “Liwa al-Haqq” terror group and delivered them to Saraqeb city in Idleb where he delivered them in exchange for USD 30,000, and later he provided terrorists in al-Houla with wireless handsets and satellite internet devices.
“Ahrar al-Cham movement monitors all movements in the area, and they claimed to be fighting ISIS while they were actually supporting it,” he added.
The army kills over 125 terrorists in Hama, breaks seige on al-Zara power plant
21 May 2016 ~ The army foiled on Saturday an attack by terrorist organizations on many military posts in Hama countryside, killing large number of them.
Hama
125 terrorists at least were killed from the terrorist organizations of “Jabhat al-Nusra” and “Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement” and a number of their machinegun-equipped vehicles were destroyed in the southern and northern countryside of Hama central province.
A military source told SANA that units of the army and the armed forces broke the siege imposed on al-Zara power plant in a special operation, forcing the terrorist groups which are affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra and Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement to withdraw to Harbanafseh town in the southern countryside.
The source added that units of the army established control over all the important positions to the north and the east of the town after killing about 100 terrorists and destroying 10 of their machinegun-equipped vehicles.
In the northern countryside, units of the army, backed by the Syrian army’s air force and artillery, foiled an attack launched by terrorist groups affiliated to “Jabhat al-Nusra” and “Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement” on military posts on Ma’an-Tal Bazam axis.
25 terrorists were killed and scores were injured and 6 vehicles equipped with Dushka machineguns were destroyed.
Among the killed terrorists was a field commander at Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist Samir al-Asmar.
Homs
Meanwhile, the Syrian Air Force destroyed ISIS terrorists’ positions in al-Shaer field, to the east of Jazal field and Um al-Tababeer area in the eastern countryside of Homs.
Heavy losses were inflicted upon terrorists in personnel and equipment.
Daraa
In the southern Daraa province, an army unit destroyed in an operation in al-Arbaeen neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad area a command center of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization.
A number of terrorists at the center were killed in the operation.
Deir Ezzor
The Syrian army’s air force launched intensive airstrikes on gatherings and positions of ISIS terrorist organization to the southwest of Deir Ezzor city.
The military source told SANA that several of terrorists were killed or injured in the strikes and a number of their machinegun-equipped vehicles were destroyed, in addition to the destruction of a number of positions including amounts of arms and ammunition.
In a relevant context, SANA reporter said an army unit destroyed a car bomb driven by an ISIS suicide bomber in the vicinity of Panorama area, southwest of Deir Ezzor city.
Meanwhile, the terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages that the so-called “Commander of the Western Sector in Deir Ezzor city” within ISIS who is nicknamed Abu Khadija al-Masri was killed in the vicinity of al-Tharda Mountain in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
Al-Masri also served as the “Chief Official of ISIS” in Deir Ezzor.
Army establishes control over Tuloul al-Khadariat in Homs, terrorist targets hit in several areas
20 May 2016 ~ More terrorists are getting killed as the army units, backed by the Air Force, continue striking their positions in various areas, with their equipment and vehicles destroyed in the operations.
Homs
The army’s air force carried out sorties targeting gatherings and movements of ISIS terrorists in the vicinity of al-Shaer and Jazal oil fields in the eastern countryside of Homs province, a military source told SANA on Friday.
The strikes resulted in destroying vehicles equipped with heavy and medium machineguns, arms and equipment for ISIS terrorists.
Later, a military source told SANA that an army unit established control over Tuloul al-Khadariat hills in the direction of al-Heir al-Gharbi castle and al-Bardeh in the eastern countryside of Homs province.
The source said that ISIS terrorists suffered huge losses in members and equipment in this swift and precise operation, adding that engineering units combed the area and dismantled IEDs and landmines planted by the terrorists to impede the army’s progress.
Deir Ezzor
The army’s air force targeted positions for ISIS terrorists in the vicinity of Panorama area and south of al-Mrei’iyeh in Deir Ezzor.
Centers and armored vehicles and others equipped with machine guns were destroyed in the airstrikes, which also killed scores of terrorists, a military source told SANA.
Hama
An army unit targeted with artillery shells a vehicle transporting terrorists of the so-called Jaish al-Fateh in Khirbet al-Naqous, 90 km west of Hama city, destroying it along with the weapons it carried.
10 terrorists who were on board the vehicle were killed, according to the military source.
Another army unit, a field source said, targeted terrorists from the so-called Islamic Front in the vicinity of Aidoun village, west of Salamiyeh, leaving 6 terrorists injured and a vehicle damaged.
A number of terrorists’ dens were hit in Aqrab town in army operations conducted in cooperation with the popular defense groups.
Later, sources on the ground stated that at least 10 terrorists were killed in a special operation carried out by an army unit which targeted a gathering of terrorists near al-Zara village in the province’s southern countryside.
Mulham al-Ezzo, Ahmad al-Hamsho, Khaled Abdelsalam Dali, and field leaders Mustafa al-Hussein, Ahmad Hamza, and Jaafar Walid Afara were identified among the dead terrorists.
Sweida
Weapons and ammunition intended for terrorist militias were caught by the Syrian army in Sweida province
Sweida
An army unit killed all members of a terrorist group affiliated to ISIS who infiltrated from the outskirts of al-Lujat area towards the northern side of Arika village in the western countryside of Sweida province.
Another army unit carried out intensive strikes against a terrorist group belonging to ISIS while it was transporting weapons and ammunition in the southwest of Tal Ashihb in the northeast countryside of the province.
The strikes eliminated all the members of the terrorist group and destroyed their ammunition and weapons.
Child and woman killed, other civilians injured in terrorist attacks on Aleppo, al-Fou’a and Daraa
20 May 2016 ~ A young girl was killed by rocket shells fired by terrorist groups on Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo city.
Local sources told SANA’s correspondent that the attack also injured five civilians and caused material damage to houses and infrastructure in the neighborhood.
In Idleb province, one woman was killed on Friday in a terrorist attack on the besieged town of al-Fou’a.
Local sources told SANA that one woman was killed after terrorists shelled al-Fou’a with tank fire from the direction of the nearby Bannesh.
Meanwhile in Daraa city, one civilian was injured due to a terrorist rocket attack.
A source at the province told SANA’s correspondent that terrorists fired rocket shells at citizens’ homes in al-Kashef neighborhood and the surroundings of the National Hospital in Daraa al-Mahata area in Daraa city, injuring one civilian and damaging public and private properties.
