Two injured by terrorists’ shells and shots in Quneitra, material damage in terrorist mortar attacks in Daraa
Quneitra, 13 June 2016 ~ Terrorist groups targeted Hadar village and al-Baath city in Quneitra southern province with shells, artillery and shots on Monday where two people got injured and service utilities were damaged.
A source at Quneitra Police Command told SANA that terrorists in al-Samadaniyeh al-Gharbieh fired five mortar and artillery shells on al-Khadami neighborhood in al-Baath city, causing an injury to a child and material damage to public and private properties including the buildings of Health Directorate, Civil Status Office and Finance Directorate.
The source pointed out that Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Jebbata al-Khashab targeted farmers with gunshots in Hadar village, causing severe injuries to a person.
Material damage in terrorist mortar attacks in Daraa
Daraa, 13 June 2016 ~ Terrorist groups targeted the area of train railway and the market in Daraa city with two mortar shells on Monday.
A source at the governorate told SANA reporter that the terrorists fired two mortar shells on the area of the train railway and the market adjacent to Daraa al-Mahatta neighborhood, causing only material damage to private and public properties.
The terrorist groups breached the cessation of hostilities agreement more than 654 times since it came into effect on 27 February. The agreement does not include Jabhat al-Nusra, ISIS and other groups listed by the UN as terrorist organizations.
Four civilians killed in terrorist attacks in Idleb and Aleppo
Idleb, 12 June 2016 ~ Three civilians were killed and ten others injured in a terrorist attack with rocket shells on Kefraya and al-Foua’a towns in Idleb northern countryside.
Local sourced told SANA that terrorists launched rockets on the towns besieged by terrorists in Idleb countryside, killing three citizens and wounding ten others.
A civilian killed in a terrorist attack in Aleppo
Aleppo, 12 June 2016 ~ Terrorist groups affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra breached the cessation of hostilities by attacking residential neighborhoods in Aleppo city.
A source at Aleppo police command told SANA reporter that a terrorist sniper targeted Saif al-Dawleh neighborhood in the city, killing one civilian.
The Russian coordination center in Hmeimeem registered 650 breaches of the cessation of hostilities by terrorist organizations since the agreement came into effect on February 27.
Death toll from al-Sayyida Zainab twin bombings rises to 12
Damascus countryside, 11 June 2016 ~ The death toll from al-Sayyida Zainab town twin terrorist bombings on Saturday has risen to 12, a source at Damascus countryside Police Command said.
One of the two terrorist blasts which hit the town, located to the south of Damascus, was carried out by a suicide bomber with an explosive belt who blew himself up at the entrance of the suburb in the direction of al-Ziabiyeh town, while the other one was with a car bomb that exploded in al-Tin Street on the suburb’s outskirts.
At least 55 people were injured in the attacks, some of whom are in a critical situation, according to the police source, who noted that a number of women and children were among the victims.
SANA reporter said massive damage was caused to a number of houses and several shops went up in flames due to the attacks.
Damascus Countryside Governor Hussein Makhlouf visited the site of the bombings and instructed services and utilities establishments to clear rubble and debris, assess damage, and repair services networks and roads within 48 hours.
Makhlouf noted that despite the terrorist attacks, shops are still open and working in the area normally a few meters away from the bombings site, which shows the Syrians’ determination to challenge terrorism.
In April, 5 people were killed and 20 injured when terrorists detonated a car at the entrance of al-Ziabiyeh town in Damascus countryside.
Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi condemns the terrorist bombings
The cabinet condemned the terrorist bombings and the shells that continue to be launched on a number safe areas, leaving a number of civilians killed or wounded.
Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi said such coward terrorist acts, which destabilize these areas in a bid to boost the morale of the armed terrorist organizations due to the accelerated victories of the Syrian army on all fronts in parallel with the misleading and flagrant media war, are trying to undermine the Syrian state.
Al-Halqi held the terrorism sponsors, particularly Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, responsible for such brutal massacres, demanding the international community to shoulder the humanitarian, moral and legal responsibility towards these inhuman perpetrations and put an end to the states which back and finance terrorism.
The Syrian people will not be frightened and such terrorist acts will increase their steadfastness and determination to achieve victory and defeat terrorism, he said.
The Premier extended condolences to the martyrs’ families and wished speedy recovery to the injured.
Daesh massacres 40 civilians in Aleppo countryside, 5 civilians killed in terrorist attacks in Aleppo city
Aleppo, 10 June 2016 ~ ISIS terrorists on Friday massacred 40 civilians in the village of Ghandoura in the countryside of Aleppo province on Friday, while a total of five civilians were killed and 29 others were injured due to terrorist attacks with rocket shells and gunfire which targeted Aleppo city.
Local sources told SANA that ISIS terrorists committed a horrific massacre in Ghandoura village in Jarablos area in the far northern countryside of Aleppo province, murdering 40 civilians including women, children, and elderly people.
In a statement to SANA reporter, a source at Aleppo Police Command said that terrorists targeted the neighborhoods of Maysalon, al-Jamilia, al-Ashrafia, al-Midan and Salah al-Dein in Aleppo city with rockets, mortar shells and sniper bullets on Friday, claiming the lives of 3 citizens, including a young girl, and injuring 15 others, including a child.
Later in the day, one civilian was killed and six others were injured due to rocket shells fired by terrorist organizations on al-Zahraa neighborhood, SANA reporter in the city said.
The attacks also caused material damage to citizens’ properties.
The Russian Center for coordination and monitoring the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria said that a child was killed, 8 people were injured and 5 houses were damaged on Thursday night when Jabhat al-Nusra shelled Handarat town in the province and al-Sheik Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo in Aleppo.
In an statement on Thursday, the Hmeimim-based center said terrorist attacks that targeted different areas in Aleppo in the past 24 hours have left at least 54 civilians dead and 93 injured.
It clarified that the casualties were caused by terrorist groups’ indiscriminate shelling of neighborhoods of al-Sheik Maqsoud, al-Midan, al-Muhafaza and al-Zahraa in Aleppo city and al-Nairab Airport and several towns in the countryside of Aleppo.
Citing the incidents where the cessation of hostilities agreement was violated in the past 24 hours, the Center said there were three breaches observed in Damascus province committed by the terrorist groups.
A 72-hour truce has been established in two towns in Idleb (Kfarhaya and al-Fouaa) and in two other towns in Damascus countryside (al-Zabadani and Madaya), the Russian center pointed out, noting that the truce will start as of Thursday midnight.
The total number of towns that joined the cessation of hostilities agreement has reached 140, according to the Center.
Russian aircrafts had carried 36 tons of humanitarian cargos to the ISIS-besieged Deir Ezzor city, while 3 trucks carrying food products and flour were sent to Deir al-Salib village in Hama province.
The cessation of hostilities agreement, in place in Syria since February 27 in implementation of the Security Council resolution 2268, does not include ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and other armed groups internationally listed as terrorist organizations.
