Syrian Army’s military operations against the foreign-backed terrorist organizations continued on Saturday where the Syrian Air Force warplanes targeted their positions, hideouts and vehicles in many areas across the country, eliminating dozens of mercenary-terrorists, including their commanders.

The Syrian Air Force launched intensive strikes against gatherings of Daesh terrorists and their movements in the vicinity of al-Shaer oil field and in the areas east and southeast of Palmyra city in the countryside of Homs.

A military source confirmed that the strikes hit the targets, destroying several positions and a number of vehicles, some of which equipped with machineguns.

In the same context, a military field source said that a number of Daesh terrorists were killed in army operations in the surroundings of al-Abyad Mountain in the eastern countryside of Homs, noting that the Kuwaiti terrorist Aref al-Sweilem, an official within ISIS, was identified among the dead along with Marwan Abu Daghmash, the so-called military leader of al-Sukhna area.

Two tanks, a rocket launcher, five SUV cars equipped with machineguns and two oil tankers were destroyed in the operations, according to the source.

Syrian Army regains strategic Kinsabba area in the countryside of Latakia.

Syrian military field sources said Saturday (16 July 2016) that the Syrian army restored control over the “Kinsabba” strategic area, located in the countryside of Latakia, after fierce battles with foreign mercenary-terrorists.

The sources said that the Syrian Army began the attack on the night of Thursday, with the artillery focusing on the terrorist positions until the early morning hours, and then the Syrian armed forces entered the city from three axes.

The sources added that the army took control at the outset on a hill overlooking Kabana Kinsabba.

Terrorist factions have announced earlier this month of have taken over control of the town of Kinsabba, in the countryside of Latakia, northwest Syria, after fierce battles with Syrian army forces.

But Kinsibba is Syria, and will remain an integral part of the motherland Syria.

In southern Syria, a Syrian Army unit carried out operations against sites of Jabhat al-Nusra-linked terrorist groups on the outskirts of Daraa al-Mahatta neighborhood in Daraa city.

The operations left many terrorists dead or injured, in addition to destroying fortifications and vehicles, some of which equipped with machine guns.
