Media reports claiming that terrorists entered al-Hamadaniyeh in Aleppo denied
(8/8/2016) ~ Local reporters from the Syrian News Agency in Aleppo denied on Sunday media reports claiming that terrorists have entered the fourth quarter in al-Hamadaniyeh neighborhood in Aleppo city.
The reporter said these rumors are completely false and aim at spreading panic among the locals of the neighborhood to make them leave their homes, affirming that the locals are holding their ground and have not left their houses.
The reporter noted that the army units are engaged in heavy clashes against the terrorist organizations on the southern and southwestern fronts of Aleppo city and are targeting the gatherings of terrorists in the surroundings of the military academies there.
Precise military operations against terrorist groups continue
(8/8/2016) ~ The Syrian Army, backed by the air force, on Monday continued heavy military operations on fortified positions of the terrorist groups across the country, regaining control over several areas and inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists in personnel and equipment .
Homs
The Syrian army air force destroyed gatherings, positions and convoys of the ISIS terrorists in Arek, Manoukh and Unq al-Hawa in the eastern countryside of Homs central province, a military source said on Monday.
Hama
Syrian Army units established control over the hills overlooking Maarkaba village in the northern countryside of Hama Province, regained control over the area of al-Twaina pump, dismantled tens of explosives and seized weapon and ammunition of the terrorist groups.
Daraa
A Syrian army unit clashed with a terrorist group infiltrated to the vicinity of one of the military points in al-Sheikh Miskeen town, 22 km north of Daraa city.
The clashes ended up with killing and injuring most of the terrorist group’s members while the other escaped and destroying two Doshka machinegun-equipped vehicles, a BMB vehicle and weapons were in their possession.
Sweida
A unit of the Syrian army and armed forces foiled terrorists’ attempt to infiltrate from the northeastern foothills of Toloul Khalif towards al-Tha’ala Airport in the western countryside of Sweida southern province, killing a number of them and destroying a BMB vehicle and a Pickup car equipped with a 23 mm cannon.
