(9 September 2016) ~ The Syrian Arab Army has stepped up operations against terrorist organizations in many provinces, launching intensive air strikes on their positions and bombarding their sites with artillery and other heavy weapons, leaving many terrorists dead and their equipment destroyed.
The army’s air force destroyed two ammunition depots and anti-tank rockets in Souran and Murek in the northern countryside of Hama province, a military source said on Friday.
Army units destroyed vehicles equipped with machine guns and kill a number for terrorists in Khan al-Shih in Damascus Countryside.
The Air Force and Artillery of the Syrian army destroyed vehicles, some of which armored, in strikes against ISIS terrorists’ positions in al-Huweiqa, al-Rushdiyeh, al-Jafreh, Hatla, al-Thurda Mountain, al-Hamidiyeh, al-Orfi, al-Sinaa, al-Bugheiliyeh, to the northwest of Barouk Hill and to the east of the military airport in Deir Ezzor province.
An army unit targeted Thursday evening positions of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and Ahrar al-Sham in al-Zaafaraniyeh and al-Saan in the northern countryside of Homs province.
According to SANA reporter, the operations resulted in the death of a number of terrorists, including leaders such as Abu Mohammad al-Homsi from Jabhat al-Nusra.
The terrorists Abu Aaisha al-Masri, Abu Farouq al-Homsi, Rami Ismael, Mohammad Ammar Khattab, Abdul-Rahman Isper, Abdul-Karim Nabo, Murad al-Rashed, Ali Rateb Ezz-Eddin, Alaa Jokhadar and Ammar Shablout were identified among the dead.
(8 September 2016) ~ Syrian Arab Army units, backed by the army’s air force, on Thursday launched wide-scaled military operations against dens and gatherings of the terrorist organizations in different areas across the country, inflicting heavy losses upon them in the arms and personnel.
A military source announced on Thursday establishing full control over al-Ramouseh area to the south of Aleppo after eliminating the remaining hotbeds of Jaish al-Fateh terrorists there.
The source added in a statement to SANA that army units in cooperation with the allied forces regained control over al-Ramouseh neighborhood completely after intensive operations during which they killed a number of terrorists.
Army units hunted the remnants of terrorists who fled away towards the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo at a time when the engineering units began dismantling the explosive devices and bombs that were planted earlier by terrorist organizations in the streets and buildings of al-Ramouseh neighborhood.
Army units in cooperation with the allied forces carried out intensive operations during the past hours against the hotbeds of terrorist organizations in al-Ramouseh to the south of Aleppo which resulted in establishing control over the gas factory, the tanneries, the slaughterhouse, the Post’s building and the military checkpoint site in the area, leaving many terrorists dead, in addition to destroying a number of mortar positions, heavy machine guns and a cannon for them.
On Sunday, army units in cooperation with the allied forces established full control over the military academies area to the south of Aleppo and cut off all movements and supply routes of the terrorist groups of the southern countryside of Aleppo towards al-Ramouseh and the eastern neighborhoods of the city and isolated the terrorist groups in al-Ramouseh from the mentioned neighborhoods.
Meanwhile, SANA reporter in Aleppo said that army units and the supporting forces later continued to advance in the southern countryside of Aleppo province, establishing control over al-Talleh al-Safra’ (hill) to the east of Maarata amid clashes with the terrorist groups in the area surrounding the storehouses in the vicinity of the hill.
The Syrian Air Force destroyed positions and supply routes of the terrorist organizations in the area of the storehouses of Khan Touman and in al-Hikma School, Maarata and to the south of Tallet Bazo, killing scores of terrorists and injuring others.
Full control established over the area of the
Military Academies to the south of Aleppo
Army units, in cooperation with allied forces, carried out a special and swift military operation, Army units, in cooperation with backed forces,establish full control over the area of the Military Academies to the south of Aleppo city and chase down the fleeing terrorists in the area.
A military source said that a full control was established over the Armament Academy after eliminating all the hotbeds of the terrorists in it, along with carrying out intensive airstrikes against the supply routes of the terrorists in the southern and northern countryside.
The source added that the Syrian army air force carried out intensive air strikes against gatherings and fortifications of Jaish al-Fateh terrorists in Aleppo countryside, destroying a number of their vehicles and killing sores of them and injuring others.
The source indicated that the airstrikes targeted the supply routes and gatherings of the terrorists in Khan Touman and Ma’arata in the southern countryside, destroying a number of the machinegun-equipped vehicles and killing a number of terrorists and injuring others.
The army air force also carried out intensive airstrikes against positions of Jabhat-al-Nusra-linked Takfiri terrorist organizations, inflicting heavy losses upon them in the arms and personnel in the village of Hreitan, al-Mallah farms, al-Uwaijeh, Khan Touman stores and Ma’rata in Aleppo northern countryside.
Control established over the military academies in south Aleppo, blocking all movements and supply routes of terrorist organizations from the southern countryside towards the eastern neighborhoods and al-Ramouseh.
SANA reporter said that there were serious differences and recriminations of treason and cowardice among the defeated terrorist organizations in south Aleppo, particularly among groups affiliated to the so-called Jaish al-Fateh, Jaish al-Mujahideen and the free army in addition to a state of terror and horror among terrorist organizations whose members fled, leaving their arms and ammunition.
An army unit carried out an operation against an ISIS-linked terrorist group that targeted a military post in Tal Asheihib in the northeastern countryside of the southern Sweida province.
All members of the terrorist group were either killed or injured, while a cannon and a number of mortar positions were destroyed in the operation.
A unit of the Special Tasks in the Syrian Arab Army entered an area where terrorists were located and rigged with explosives a site that terrorists were using as a starting point to commit their crimes in the eastern part of Busra al-Sham city in Daraa al-Balad in the southern province of Daraa, according to a military source.
The source said that the members of the unit blew up the explosive devices after they return to their location without any losses which led to the destruction of the site fully and killing all the terrorists inside.
In Daraa al-Balad, an army unit destroyed two command sites for terrorist organizations, killing many terrorists and injuring many others.
Later, an army unit killed members of two terrorist groups and injured many others on al-Sad Road in Daraa al-Balad.
Another army unit destroyed terrorists’ gatherings along with all weapons and munitions inside it to the south of Daraa city.

The Syrian Air Force destroyed positions and armored vehicles of the terrorist groups in the surroundings of Maardes, Tibet al-Imam, Tallet al-Nasiryieh, Atshan, al-Masasina and al-Latamina in the northern countryside of the central Hama province.
An army unit carried out operations on ISIS movement axis in the area surrounding Arak Oil Field to the northeast of Tadmour(Palmyra) city in Homs province.
During the operations, a number of ISIS terrorists were killed and many of their armored vehicles were destroyed.
127 locals from Darayya residing in al-Moaddamiyeh transported to makeshift center in Harjalleh
(Damascus Countryside, 8 September 2016) ~ Tens of Daraya city’s locals who benefitted from the amnesty decree No. 15 for 2016 were transported on Thursday from al-Moaddamiyeh city to the makeshift center in Harjalleh in Damascus Countryside.
127 persons from Daraya city who were residing in al-Moaddamiyeh city were transported to the makeshift center in Harjalleh that Damascus Countryside governorate has equipped with all basic requirements and relief substances.
In a statement to reporters at the entrance of al-Moaddamiyeh city, Governor of Damascus Countryside Eng. Alaa Ibrahim pointed out that the agreement of Daraya city will be ended soon after evacuating the civilians residing in al-Moaddamiyeh successively and the militants who want to settle their situation and take advantage of the amnesty decree No. 15 for 2016 to the makeshift center in Harjalleh town to return to their normal lives in addition to taking the rest of the militants out towards Idleb.
With regard to the agreement of Moaddamiyehit al-Sham city, Ibrahim said that the agreement is similar to the settlement of Daraya city. However, the locals of al-Moaddamiyeh will stay in their houses, the legal status will be settled for the militants who want to and those who don’t want will be transported to Idleb, adding the governmental institutions will return to the city.
The Governor called on all militants to lay down their arms and take advantage of the amnesty decree.
In turn, Chief of Daraya municipality Marwan Obeid said in a statement to SANA reporter that the second phase of Daraya agreement has been accomplished today after evacuating about 344 persons to Harjalleh in the first phase, adding that the remaining number of the people in al-Moaddamiyeh city is around 1700 persons.
Obeid affirmed that the properties of the families of Daraya are preserved, adding that huge amounts of money are dedicated to rehabilitate the infrastructure.
For his part, Bassam Karbouj, head of al-Moaddamiyeh City Council said that work is going on to find a final solution to the issue of the city despite the problems and obstacles that face the agreement by some terrorists who want to foil the local reconciliation.
Thousands displaced by fighting receive aid in Hama city
Thousands displaced by heavy fighting between government and opposition forces in Syria’s Hama Province have arrived in the city of Hama to receive aid and shelter. Footage shot in the city on Wednesday shows Red Crescent workers handing out blankets and boxes of supplies to families.
Authorities in Homs seize ammunition cache for terrorist organizations in al-Hamra village
The Syrian Arab Army and Air Forces targeted on Saturday the vehicles and convoys of terrorists across the country, killing scores of them and destroying their weapons.
Over the past few hours, the Syrian air force and artillery carried out intensive strikes against gatherings and vehicles of the terrorist organizations in the northern countryside of Homs central province.
A military source told SANA that the army air force and artillery carried out concentrated strikes against a convoy of terrorists’ vehicles that includes 25 vehicles some of which equipped with machineguns and cannons, in addition to targeting a gathering of more than 150 terrorists in the surroundings of al-Quneitirat-Talbisa in the northern countryside.
The source added that scores of terrorists were killed in the strikes and others were injured, in addition to destroying a number of their vehicles some of them equipped with heavy and medium machineguns.
Army units also destroyed two stores of ammunition and oil in the village of Ez-Eddin in Talbisa area and a number of cars in al-Farhanyieh village in the northern countryside of Homs central province.
Syria’s Army Air Force destroyed on Saturday armored vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns and rocket launchers for terrorist organizations affiliated to the so-called Jaish al-Fateh at a time when army units killed more than 120 terrorists in the northern countryside of Hama.
A military source told SANA that after accurate monitoring of the movements of the terrorist organizations, army units thwarted attempts by terrorists on Skeik –Maan and al-Sawan- al-Kbariyeh directions in the northern countryside of Hama, killing more than 40 terrorists and destroying 5 vehicles equipped with machine guns in addition to two armored vehicles and a tank.
Army units destroyed gatherings of terrorists in Zour Nahr al-Asi on Khattab direction in Hama countryside, destroyed 10 vehicles equipped with machine guns for them and killed 20 of them.
On Saturday afternoon, army units carried out intensive strikes against axes of movements and supply routes of terrorist organizations in Maardas direction in the northern countryside of Hama.
60 terrorists were killed, 7 vehicles equipped with machine guns, two tanks, two BMB vehicles, two rocket launchers, three mortar launchers and an artillery were destroyed for them, according to the source.
The air force carried out concentrated air strikes against positions and movements of the terrorist organizations to the east of Mourek, to the west of Kafr Zita, Shaheshbou Mountain and Atashan, in the surroundings of Souran, to the north and west of Ma’an, Tal Bazam and Tal Hwair in the northern countryside of the province.
The air strikes destroyed 4 tanks, two rocket launchers, tens of vehicles equipped with machine guns and killed a number of terrorists.
Army units target gatherings of the terrorist groups 4 km to the south of Daraa City, to the west of Ghazar prison and to the south of al-Muhandiseen building on the al-Sad Road, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their arms and equipment.
An army unit destroyed a machine gun position for the terrorist organizations in al-Kark neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad area in Daraa city, while another army unit destroyed a command center for the terrorists in al-Nazihin Camp, in addition to destroying three cars equipped with machine guns, a tractor and 4 motorcycles in Daraa al-Balad.
The army also killed 9 terrorists and destroyed an SUV they had with them in al-Lajat area on the road linking al-Shomara with al-Shayah in the northeastern countryside of Daraa province. Ramadan al-Sabta, identified as a leader of a terrorist group within “Al-Omari Brigade” was among the dead.
The Syrian Arab army air force carried out intensive airstrikes against positions, gatherings and convoys of the terrorist organizations in the southwestern countryside of Aleppo province, according to a military source.
The source told SANA that scores of terrorists were killed in the strikes, in addition to destroying armored vehicles, and cars equipped with various types of machineguns.
Later, a military source said that Army and Armed Forces units destroyed 4 vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns and eliminated more than 15 terrorists from ISIS in the surroundings of the Air Force Academy in Aleppo’s eastern countryside.
Army units thwarted an attack by ISIS terrorists on the military airport and inflicted heavy losses in personnel and munitions in various areas in Deir Ezzor city and its countryside.
A military source said that the air force along with the artillery and tanks in Deir Ezzor directed concentrated strikes against gatherings of ISIS terrorists towards the eastern barricade of the military airport which resulted in destroying two machine gun bases, killing a number of terrorists and injuring others.
Another army unit destroyed a tunnel for ISIS terrorists in al-Urfi neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city which was used by terrorists as a protection from the army’s strikes, to store arms and ammunition and for moving to attack the nearby neighborhoods.
Dens for ISIS terrorists were destroyed in Brouk hill, al-Bagheeliyeh, al-Rashdiyeh and al-Hweiqa during the continued army’s operation against Takfiri terrorism.
