The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) establishes control over Tallet (hill) al-Nakkar al-Gharbi in Quneitra countryside
The army continued clearing many areas from the terrorist organizations across the country, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.
Quneitra
A military source announced Wednesday morning that the army established full control over Tallet al-Naqqar al-Gharbyieh (hill) to the east of Trinja in the northern countryside of the southern Quneitra province after conducting special operations in the area.
The operations, which were carried out in cooperation with the popular defense groups during the past few hours, resulted in the death of many terrorists and the destruction of their weapons and ammunition.
The source also noted that an army unit secured the road linking al-Amal Farms and Hadar.
Daraa
Syrian Army units killed a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists on Tafas- al-Yadoudeh road and to the north of al-Bitar Farm in the countryside of the southern Daraa province.
An army unit also destroyed a hideout for terrorist groups, a number of vehicles and a monitoring center to the east of al-Kark prison in Daraa al- Balad area in Daraa province.
Hama
Army units killed more than 50 terrorists and destroyed a command center, an ammunition depot and 6 cars, some equipped with machineguns, in Mourek, east of al-Buwaida, Skeik, Atshan and Wadi Hweir in the northern countryside of Hama province.
Deir Ezzor
More than 30 ISIS terrorists were killed on Wednesday in operations carried out by army units in Deir Ezzor and its countryside.
A military source told SANA that army units carried out operations and precise bombardments against positions and dens of the ISIS terrorist organization in the neighborhoods of al-Rushdiyeh and al-Sinaa and in al-Jafra village to the east of Deir Ezzor city.
The source added that more than 20 terrorists were killed and an amount of their arms and munitions were destroyed.
The source added that the army personnel defending Deir Ezzor Military Airport clashed with a terrorist group affiliated to the ISIS along the eastern barricade of the airport, killing ten of its members.
Another army unit destroyed three vehicles and killed most members of a terrorist group that had attempted to attack military positions in al-Jafra area 7 km southeast of Deir Ezzor city.
Homs
A military source told SANA that the army’s air force raided dens and gatherings of ISIS terrorists near al-Shaer oil field, Rahoum and Abu al-dababer in Homs eastern countryside.
The army air force raids killed a number of the terrorists and destroyed a den for them and a number of vehicles.
The army kills scores of terrorists in Daraa, Hama
Daraa
An army unit killed more than 10 terrorists affiliated to the so-called Tawhid al-Janoub Brigade and destroyed their den, vehicles and a fortified center for a machinegun fighter in Daraa al-Balad in Daraa province.
A military source said that terrorists Ziyad Jaber Aba Zaid, Fadi Bajbouj, Abu Dujana al-Abboud, Amer al-Falouji, Haitham Abu al-Oyoun al-Mahamid, Ahmad Abdel-Karim al-Masalmeh, Owis Qat’aneh, Abu al-Yaman, Abu al-Qayyas were identified among the dead. Five of the terrorists injured during the military operations targeted them were admitted to the Israeli hospitals.
The source added that another army unit targeted a terrorist group’s positions in al-Sad (Dam) road neighborhood and bombarded their infiltration axes east of Busra Square and al-Tulabiyeh Square in Daraa al-Mahata neighborhood.
The army bombardment resulted in killing and injuring a number of terrorists and destroying their equipment, weapons and ammunition.
Another army unit targeted a gathering of terrorists while involved in setting up fortifications to the northwest of the ridge of al-Gharyiyeh al-Gharbiyeh village to the northeast of Daraa city, destroying a bulldozer and killing almost all the terrorists there.
Damascus Countryside
An army unit seized in a special operation in Harasta area in Damascus Countryside a 250 m tunnel used by terrorist groups to infiltrate areas and transport weapons and ammunition.
The military source said the engineering members of the army unit destroyed the tunnel along with the fortifications set up by the terrorists above it.
Last Sunday, an army unit blew up two hideouts for terrorists of the so-called “Al-Rahman Legion” in Jobar neighborhood in Eastern Ghouta after planting large amounts of explosives in them, leaving all the terrorists inside dead or injured.
Hama/Idleb
The army’s air force destroyed gatherings for terrorists and killed several of them in Morek, Tal Skeik, near Ma’an, Atshan, Tal al-Sawan and al-Bowayda in Hama countryside.
Earlier, army units engaged in clashes with terrorist groups affiliated to the so called “Al-Ezza Gathering” who attacked a number of military checkpoints in the direction of Maan town in the northern countryside of Hama province, according to SANA reporter.
The reporter pointed out that the army members inflicted heavy losses upon the attacking terrorists during the clashes, adding that “Abu al-Safi al-Hamwi” and “Abu al-Drwish al-Hamwi” were identified among the dead.
The reporter said another army unit destroyed a vehicle for terrorist organizations and killed a number of terrorists in accurate strikes on the road of Atshan town in the same countryside.
In the southern countryside of the neighboring Idleb province, the reporter confirmed the destruction of a site for the so-called “Jaish al-Fatah” terrorists and the death of a number of terrorists in Maarshmarin town.
In a relevant context, local sources said clashes erupted between terrorist groups belonging to “Al-Sham Legion”, “Jabhat al-Nusra” and “Jund al-Aqsa” in the area surrounding Talmans and Maarshorin village to the east of Maaret al-Nouman. Nine terrorists were reported killed many others were injured due to the clashes.
War Crimes: U.S.-led coalition airstrikes kill at least ten civilians in Raqqa
Ten Syrian civilians were killed Wednesday in airstrikes launched by the aircrafts of the US-led coalition on tents for displaced people who fled away from Daesh terrorist acts to the north of Raqqa city.
Local and media sources said aircrafts of the international US-led coalition bombed Wednesday evening tents for displaced people who escaped from Hazimah town in Maisaloun farm to the north of Raqqa city, claiming the lives of more than 10 civilians.
Other people were injured in the air attack, which caused massive destruction in the area, according to the sources.
Syrian Army General Command announces the formation of the Fifth Legion
The General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces announced on Tuesday the formation of the “Fifth Legion” to work alongside the rest of the military formations and supporting forces to return security and stability to the entire Syrian territory.
“In response to the rapid developments of events and for further consolidating the successes of the armed forces and meeting the desire of the our people in putting a final end to the terrorist acts on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic, the General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces announces the formation of the Fifth Legion of volunteers with the task of eliminating terrorism, along with the rest of the our armed forces formations and allied and supporting forces, to return security and stability to the entire territory of the Syrian Arab Republic,” the Command said in a statement.
It called on citizens who want to take a part in accomplishing the final victory over terrorism to visit the recruitment application centers opened in various provinces for the purpose, including in Damascus, Homs, Hama, Aleppo, Tartous, Lattakia, Daraa and Sweida, noting that citizens from the eastern region can visit those centers as well.
The Command pointed out that the volunteers who will be recruited in the Legion must be all Syria men above 18 who are not already conscripts or deserters, adding that the Legion will also accept volunteers who have finished their military service and state employees under one-year renewable contracts.
State employees who will be recruited will keep all the rights and benefits they receive in their work places, in addition to the regular amounts of money they will receive from the Legion.
Syrian Army Command calls on gunmen in Aleppo eastern neighborhoods to allow locals to leave
The General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces once again called on the terrorist organizations in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo city to allow the locals to leave the neighborhoods and not use them as hostages or human shields.
In a statement on Tuesday, the General Command also called on the militants in those neighborhoods to remove mines from the corridors opened by the state, allow the citizens who want to leave to do so, and to open the food stores and distribute their contents to citizens.
The statement reaffirmed the need to allow wounded and sick people to be evacuated from the eastern neighborhoods via the specific corridors.
The General Command noted that it has full and accurate information about the militants’ sites, bases, and warehouses and that it is monitoring all their movements in the eastern neighborhoods in the city of Aleppo.
The General Command called on the citizens in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo to cooperate with the Syrian Arab Army and avoid going out into streets except for urgent needs and to keep away from the positions of the militants, affirming its keenness on maintaining the safety and security of the citizens.
The statement said that the militants’ acts of opening fire on the locals of the eastern neighborhoods who rose against them proves that those militants do not care at all about citizens’ lives; rather they only care about collecting money and shedding blood.
The General Command called on militants in the eastern neighborhoods to listen to reason, stop bloodshed, and cease shelling residential neighborhoods and civilians, with the Command urging those who bear arms in the eastern neighborhoods to benefit from the amnesty decree and return to their normal lives.
