Vladimir Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, comments current international issues.
Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the United States’ refusal to cooperate with Russia in fighting terrorism has resulted in ISIS increasing its attacks in Syria. Peskov told journalists on Monday that actual cooperation and military coordination with other states including the US could have led to avoiding attacks like the one that targeted Palmyra, but sadly Washington refuses to cooperate with Moscow in this regard. Peskov also noted that there’s a process taking place in which large groups of terrorists are being expelled from Iraq which allows them to form large terrorist groups in Syria and carry out attacks there. ISIS terrorists had entered Palmyra on Sunday following violent clashes with the Syrian Army and Armed Forces, in which ISIS attacked in large numbers exceeding 4,000 from various directions.
