SAA thwarts Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists’ attack in Quneitra
(Quneitra, 15/1/2017) ~ A Syrian Arab Army unit aided by the popular defense groups in the village of Hadar, in Quneitra Province, clashed with terrorist groups affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra which attempted to attack one of the military posts in al-Dalafeh site to the south of the village.
SANA reporter in the province said Sunday that the army thwarted the terrorist attack, inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorist groups in personnel and equipment.
The army units bombarded Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Tal al-Hamriyeh to the south of Hadar village, killing and injuring a number of them.
The source said that the armed terrorist groups shot fire towards the farmlands to the south of the village, injuring two persons.
Syrian Army destroys Daesh vehicles in Deir Ezzor and Homs
(Deir Ezzor, Homs, 14/1/2017) ~ Syrian Army and Syrian Arab Armed Forces units thwarted ISIS terrorists’ attempt to attack military posts in different areas in Deir Ezzor and destroyed a tank and three of their vehicles, in addition to targeting their gatherings and movements near Palmyra in Homs province.
Deir Ezzor
SANA reporter in the province said Saturday that the army units clashed with the ISIS terrorists who attempted to attack military posts in the southern and northwestern axes of Deir Ezzor airport, in the surroundings of al-Thardeh Mountain and in al-Rashdiyeh al-Howeiqa, al-Sinaa neighborhoods and in al-Bagheeliyeh area and in its surroundings in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor province.

The source added that the army units killed a number of the ISIS terrorists, while the rest fled a way and destroyed a tank and three of their vehicles, some equipped with machineguns.
Homs
Army units targeted on Saturday ISIS terrorists’ gatherings and movements south of Palmyra in the eastern country side of Homs.
A military source told SANA that army units targeted with concentrated strikes a number of ISIS gatherings and movements, killing scores of terrorists and destroying 3 machinegun-equipped cars, two artillery pieces, two mortar launcher nests, and a tank in Ulab al-Tayas hills area northeast of the Fourth Station to the west of Palmyra city.
