Syrian Arab Army foils attacks by Daesh and Jabhat terrorists on military posts in Homs countryside and Daraa
(13 April 2017) ~ Army units, in cooperation with the backing forces, foiled an attack by Daesh (ISIS, ISIL, IS) affiliated terrorist groups on military posts in the eastern countryside of Homs central province.
Homs
A military source said that terrorist groups attacked from the axes of al-Mahsa /Sawwaneh Mountain/ al-Qaryatain Dam a number of military posts in the area of Dhour Thanyiet al-Mzaibleh in the eastern countryside.
The source added that army units, in cooperation with the backing forces, foiled the attack, inflicting heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists in the personnel and equipment.
Daraa
Army units destroyed gatherings, vehicles and two US-made Tow rocket launch pads for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Daraa al-Balad area.
SANA reporter said Thursday that an army unit engaged, during the past hours, in fierce clashes with Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist groups, which attacked military posts in the outskirts of al-Manshiyeh neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad from the directions of al- Khansaa School and Haret al-Bajabija.
The reporter added that the clashes ended up with the killing of a number of the terrorists while the rest fled away, in addition to destroying two tanks, two US-made Tow rocket launch pads and a machinegun-equipped vehicle.
Syrian Army destroys terrorists’ positions and vehicles kills scores of them in different areas across the country
(12 April 2017) ~ Army and Armed Forces units carried out intensive bombardments against gatherings and supply routes of ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra in the eastern and northern countryside of Homs central province.
Homs
A military source told SANA that army units carried out special operations, destroying a number of ISIS dens and vehicles and killing a number of terrorists in al-Mshairfeh al-Janoubieh village, al-Bardeh area, to the south of Palmyra and to the east of al-Qaryatain village in the eastern countryside.
In the northern countryside, a large number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed and others were injured and their arms and vehicles were destroyed in intensive bombardments carried out by army units against their gatherings and positions in Bourj Qa’ai village, in the surroundings of al-Rastan city and to the southwest of Talbisa town.
Damascus Countryside
An Army and Armed Forces unit killed 7 ISIS terrorists and destroyed a machinegun nest in Kassaret Ez Eddin in al-Dumair area in Damascus eastern countryside.
Daraa
An army unit killed scores of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and destroyed their arms and vehicles in Daraa al-Balad area in Daraa southern province.
Deir Ezzor
Army units directed intensive strikes on gatherings and axes of ISIS terrorist organization in al-Arfi and al-Hawika neighborhoods, the area surrounding Deir Ezzor Airport, Hawijit Saqr and in al-Boghilia village in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.
Eight terrorists were killed, others were injured and a truck was destroyed due to the strikes.
Idlib

Syrian Army establishes control over al-Abtar Mountain in Homs Countryside, inflicts heavy losses upon terrorists in different areas
(11 April 2017) ~ Army units established control over large areas to the south of Palmyra City in the framework of the continued operations against ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of Homs central province.
Homs
SANA reporter said that army units, in cooperation with the backing forces, advanced about 10 km towards Khnaifis mines in Palmyra southern countryside after carrying out a large-scale military operation as a number of ISIS terrorists were killed and injured and scores fled away towards al-Badiya” desert”.
The reporter added that army units established control over al-Abtar Mountain and a number of hills surrounding it.
Army units also imposed a fire control over Qaser al-Halabat in the surroundings of al-Abtar Mountain after violent clashes with ISIS terrorists, and the army continued to advance towards establishing full control over the area.
Deir Ezzor
Army units clashed with ISIS groups after they infiltrated into the eastern part of al-Sinaa neighborhood in Deir Ezzor, foiling their infiltration attempt.
More than 15 terrorists were killed in the clashes, in addition to destroying a mortar launcher, two machinegun-equipped vehicles, barricades and motorcycles belonging to ISIS terrorist organization.
The army also carried out operations against positions of ISIS terrorists in the western direction in the area of al-Moazafin and al-Joubaila in Deir Ezzor and in the surroundings of the Regiment 137 on the southwestern outskirts of the city.
A number of ISIS terrorists were killed in the operations and their arms and ammunition were destroyed.
Daraa
An army unit carried out a number of operations against gatherings of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in Daraa al-Balad area in Daraa southern province, inflicting heavy losses upon them in the personnel and vehicles.
A Tao rocket launch pad, a mortar launcher and a vehicle belonging to Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were destroyed in the operations and a number of terrorists were killed in al-Jomrouk al-Qadim and the surroundings of al-Masri Roundabout.
Among the killed are the self-proclaimed leader of the so-called “Liwa al-Tawhid” terrorist Mohammad Jamal Hindawi al-Masalmeh, and a field Commander of the so-called “al-Bounyian al-Marsous” terrorist Rashed Aba Zaid.
Hama
Army units carried out operations against gatherings, fortifications and movements of terrorist organizations on the axes of Maardes-Souran, and Maardes-Tibet al-Imam and in the surroundings of Tal Skeik in Hama northern countryside, according to a military source.
The source said many terrorists were killed during the army’s operations, in addition to the destruction of a car bomb, 4 tanks, 4 vehicles equipped with machine guns, 2 artillery emplacements and a rocket launcher.
The source added that army also seized a combat vehicle, artillery shells and mortar rounds.
Syrian Arab Army destroys terrorists’ fortifications, kills scores of them in Daraa and Deir Ezzor
(10 April 2017) ~ Army units carried out bombardments against gatherings and fortifications of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization and the groups affiliated to it in the neighborhoods of al-Manshiyeh and al-Karak, inflicting heavy losses upon them in the arms and personnel.
Daraa
A military source told SANA that an army unit clashed with a terrorist group which attacked, from the direction of Mo’awyia School, a number of military posts on the outskirts of al-Manshiyeh neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad area.
The source added that the attack was foiled,a number of terrorists were killed and injured and their arms were destroyed.
An army unit also carried out bombardments against a gathering and fortified positions of the terrorists in the surrounding of al-Khansaa School and on the northern outskirts of al-Karak neighborhood, killing a number of terrorists,injuring others and destroying a machinegun barricade and a mortar launcher.
Meanwhile, an army unit killed 8 Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists on the road of Saida-al-Gharyia al-Gharbyia in Daraa Countryside.
Deir Ezzor
At least 14 ISIS terrorists were killed in intensive operations carried out by the army, in cooperation with the backing forces, against positions of the Takfiri organization in the surroundings of Deir Ezzor City.
Army units carried out new operations against positions of ISIS terrorists in the surroundings of the Regiment 137, and the airport and in the neighborhoods of al-Hwaiqa and al-Sina’a, killing at least 14 terrorists and injuring others.
A number of vehicles, mortar launchers and machineguns belonging to the terrorists were destroyed in al-Maqaber cemeteries area.
SANA reporter confirmed that all members of a terrorist group affiliated to ISIS were also killed in concentrated bombardments carried out by the army and the backing forces against ISIS positions on the northern outskirts of Deir Ezzor City.
The reporter added that the army air force carried out airstrikes against ISIS positions in the areas of Tharda and al-Maqaber on the southern outskirts of the city, destroying a number of the terrorists’ dens and killing a number of them.
Hama
Army units foiled a fierce attack launched by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists against the towns of Ma’an, al-Kabaryia and Kawkab in the northern countryside of Hama central province.
SANA reporter said that a tank, and a BMP vehicle belonging to terrorists were destroyed in the operations and 20 terrorists were killed or injured while the remnants fled away.

The Syrian army is pressing ahead with its fight against foreign-backed terrorists, making new advances in the western city of Hama. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the army recaptured 16 villages that fell into the hands of militants last week. The new advances come as government troops and their allied forces recaptured five towns and villages in the northern Hama countryside on Thursday. The army also retook a strategic hilltop and killed dozens of terrorists in the operation. The army is reportedly trying to seize a mountain overlooking the Dayr al-Zawr military airport. Damascus is fighting against terrorist groups that are not part of the nationwide ceasefire agreement.
