US-led coalition carries out aggression
on military position on al-Tanf road, Homs province

(7 June 2017) ~ A military source said that the so-called international coalition carried out at 17:40 on Tuesday an attack on a Syrian Arab Army position on al-Tanf road in al-Shahima area in the eastern countryside of Homs province, which claimed a number of lives and caused material damage.

In a statement to the Syrian News Agency the source said that this aggression confirms once again that the coalition’s support for terrorism at a time when the Syrian Arab Army and its allies make daily progress in fighting Daash (ISIS, ISIL, IS…) mercenary-terrorists.

The source said that the General Command of the Syrian Army and Syrian Armed Forces warn against the risks of this escalations and its ramifications, calling on this so-called international coalition to not carry out such aggressive actions under any pretext.

The source went on to affirm that the Syrian Arab Army and its allies are determined to continue fighting terrorist organizations, primarily ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra, and pursue them across Syrian territory.

Back on May 18th, the US-led coalition’s aircrafts attacked a Syrian Arab Army position on al-Tanf road in the Badiya desert, claiming a number of lives and causing material damage.

This coalition, which was formed and is being led by the US since 2014, has failed to stop the spread of ISIS, making no real results on the ground due to its lack of serious intent and its lack of coordination with the Syrian government. It has also committed dozens of massacres in the provinces of Hasaka, Raqqa, and Deir Ezzor, claiming the lives of hundreds of Syrian civilians.

(6 June 2017) ~ 12 civilians, including women and children, were killed as a result of airstrikes launched by the US-led international coalition on Raqqa on Monday evening.

Identical local and media sources said that the international coalition warplanes hit an area of boats’ gatherings on the northern bank of the Euphrates River where a number of civilians were attempting to get out along with their families from the southern neighborhoods of the city by their boats.

Last Saturday, at least 43 civilians were killed in US-led airstrikes that targeted a residential building in Raqqa. Most of those killed were women and children.
